Part 2: 2:06 (grey host) How about you, Kuruppo? (Miku) For Kuruppo, well... (grey host) Wasn’t it Germany for you? (Miku) Germany was most memorable for me although it was not because of masters and princesses of Germany. At that time, we were making songs for our album, and we had a day-off in Berlin. Sai-chan and other members visited the Berlin wall. But I had a deadline approaching for writing lyrics, I was writing lyrics at the café in Berlin. So I was writing the lyrics alone at the café near the hotel we were staying. (grey host) What kind of café in Germany? (black host) Berlin café! (grey host) She (Sai-chan) was at the Berlin wall, and you (Miku) was at Berlin café. (“wall” is “kabe” in Japanese. So he was saying “Berlin kabe” vs. “Berlin café”) (Miku) Yes. A good pun! 3:00 (grey host) Which lyrics you wrote at the café in Germany? (Miku) I wrote the lyrics of “Carry on Living” and “Spirit” at the café in Germany. (grey host) You released the second album. The title of the album is, Shoji-san (black host’s name) you introduce it. (black host) Yes, it is the World ... Dimension? (Miku&Saiki) Domination! (black host) “Domination” means to conquer? (Miku) Ah, yes, it is, PO. (black host) Then you already declared your final goal as your 2nd album title? 3:38 (Miku) Yes, it is, PO. The world domination has been our goal. When we discussed about what action we can take to show our effort toward achieving our goal, Saiki said that we can show it as our new album. So we decided to make the new album with the world domination as the main theme, PO. (grey host) It is really a sugoi full album. 4:14 (black host) Happy Jack in March. (grey host) Yes, they will come back again! (Miku) We are happy to be back. (grey host) We are expecting something to happen in 2018. What will happen? (Miku explains about their domestic concert tour plan)
If you are interested in, here is a rough translation (Part 1): 0:00 (black host) Tonight’s guests are two members of Band-Maid. (Miku) Welcome home masters and princesses, Kuruppo! (black host) They are doing a world tour. (grey host) Sugoi, aren’t they? (black host) Which countries did you go? (Miku&Saiki) England and France... (Miku) and three places in Germany, PO. 1:28 (grey host) To Sai-chan, which country’s masters were the best? (Saiki) Well. Because we have visited London more often, they say “Okaeri” (welcome home) to us. (grey host) Masters in London say “Okaeri” to you? (Miku&Saiki) Yes. (grey host) Wasn’t there any master look like your fav David Bowie? (Saiki) Ahh. Well... (grey host) There weren’t any such person, were there? (Saiki) If there were anyone like that, I would have said “Come here!”. (laugh) (Miku) You would invite that person? No, you shouldn’t do that!
Of course i was interested. It's no surprise the Maids like London the best cos we do say "Okaeri" to them & of course i'm here too.😏 Thx for the translation Mr K.😁👍
@@GaryHolloway-810 😂I'm sorry to tell you, Gary-san, but it'll never happen again😁 Maids won't perform in a live-house size venue when they come back to UK😏
“World Domination” was and is a spectacular album. Bands hope for one or two hits and Band-Maid has at least 7 songs there that are now concert standard fan favorites
Everyone who has ever been to one of their concerts, inside or outside, can tell you they sound even better live than in the studio. They pay attention to the details and have excellent people supporting and mixing. This tends to be true of most or possibly all top Japanese bands. But Band-Maid was and is my #1 band. And they give every show all they've got and that's a lot. If lead singer Saiki (Sigh-key) took a drink before starting, it is probably her special throat support blend. Offstage they don't shy away from alcohol. Bass player Misa (MEE-sah!) would have chugged a bit of beer or possibly whiskey just before this. She used to do it in the early days to deal with stage fright; now she is more relaxed naturally but everyone expects it. Drinks on the Orange amp. Misa is the tallest at about 5'7". Little Miku (MEE-koo), rhythm guitarist on the metal-top Zemaitis, is actually the heaviest drinker, but never when it could impact her performance. Not sure about how much drummer Akane (ah-KAH-neh) or lead guitarist Kanami (ka-NAH-mee) imbibe, I have seen them with the occasional beer, usually with meals. Kanami's favored drink is gourmet coffee.
We need these fine musicians to appear on American national TV. They are the best hard rock band on the planet today. America awaits you ladies. We are yours if you want us.
Here in 2020. No matter how utterly cute Miku is, she is not a child. She founded the band, learned guitar real quick, she's quite the talkative MC during gigs, quite talkative during interviews such as above & quite a horse racing gambler . And oh yeah ... she's cute (and hot).
Very loose translation, undoubtedly with mistakes, but better than nothing. Everyone exchanges greetings/formalities. Black asks if Miku/Saiki remember him when he interviewed them previously. Black is speaking really politely/formally to M/S. (Japanese speech has many degrees of politeness, and black is speaking more politely to M/S than they are to him). Grey/Miku comments that is such a big change, when he was speaking quite hostilely to them before. Saiki said she even felt he really hated them back then. Black says that before, he felt like B-M was taking things too lightly, saying they want to conquer the world, so he felt like being mean to them a bit. But now he changed his mind because it's amazing they went on world tour. Then ask where they went. Miku answer England, France, Germany. Gray asks Saiki where she felt the fans (who B-M calls master) were the best master-like. She said London, where their fans received them with Okaeri (welcome back, which is one of the greetings maids use towards masters). Gray then ask Saiki wasn't there a (debitboy? no clue what this is) over there. Saiki said if there was, she'd have invited him over to Japan. Then Miku says for her Germany was most memorable, because while the other band members were touring the Berlin wall, she was stuck in a cafe next to the hotel, on a deadline, to write lyrics for Carry On Living and Spirit. Then they were talking about the 2nd album World Domination, which black misreads as World Dimension. They were talking about their goal of world domination and thinking what to do concretely to do that. Saiki then suggested to make the actual name of the album World Domination, and the songs around that theme. Then they end with where they will appear next.
@@Edyth_Hedd Yes but the auto-translate does produce some really funny translations. For example Miku apparently says at one point "It's a boo writer, and the spawn isn't going down any more." 🤣

I can't wait for Miku doing the US talk show circuit and saying "po" at everyone.
