- Barry G is a long-time radio announcer in Jamaica who has worked at numerous radio stations. He was often the number-one radio disc jockey in Jamaica. Barry is partly responsible for Yellowman's success as Barry G hailed Yellowman's talents early on. As a radio announcer in the 1970s and onward, Barry had Dennis Brown, Jacob Miller, and Peter Tosh stop into his radio program to discuss their musical activities. Some of the young turks on Jamaican radio today should follow the sterling example set by Barry G...His professionalism is always consistent...He was the boogieman back then, but now, Barry is paving a new path with his programme on MELLO FM...Today, he speaks about health issues and many other important issues each day on his radio show...I used to listen to some of the other disc jocks on afternoon radio...However, after I found out Barry was on MELLO FM, my dial is set to that each afternoon.

I am not aware of Barry G's Marley interview being available. Barry G has many-many great interviews (some may be the ownership of the Radio Station that he worked for and he moved around a lot).

Barry G single handedly helped to destroy the youths of Jamaica with a lot of the slack songs he played and endorsed on the public air. I have no respect for this man!!!
Single handedly? Come on! Amidst the many slack dancehall djs (not radio disc jockeys) over the decades, Barry G has only a mild reputation for being slack. He has done so many other things - Wha Dat sound system, clashes with Rodigan, promoting JA music abroad, the recent University speeches, journeyman on JA radio at many stations, and not to mention... his promotion of drinking water.
