Great video guys. We use high ready at my PD. Good explanation one extra thing though I have found with high ready is it is a more "authoritative" position. Most LEOs know we draw down on a subject countless times more than we actually shoot them just to gain some compliance while maintaining officer safety. In short the pistol is in your line of sight as well as your subject and more visible to all persons in the area. It says hello I have a gun please comply with my commands because if you dont I am ready. (All of these things are equally as beneficial to average armed citizens and home owner's)
I would say you aren't a nobody with an Agency sponsorship and starting to fill classes. Really like your stuff my friend. Thanks for checking us out and for the kind words.
I use and teach the (modified) high ready position but with the barrel pointed down range. I feel this is better because the barrel is already pointed down range (at bad guy or suspect) and you can fire a shot at the high ready if need be. The high ready in this video takes two different actions to get the barely pointed on target. If you keep the barrel pointed down range than all you have to do is push the weapon out to full presentation while puling (taking up the slack) the trigger. You can also fire the weapon while the handgun is still at the (modified) high ready position. If you need to not sweep a team member just point the handgun down while moving in the high ready position. (ex Navy & Army, prior sworn law enforcement officer, NRA instructor)
I came for Mike J, Garand Daddy, but I stayed for mighty fine & pertinent pistol points!! I'ma go ahead and add "high level operator" on my resume now.
Just a civ here. I've trained with low ready for years. Now I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. Downstairs neighbors have kids. Low ready is definitely not an option.

That's a great point. Having an officer's perspective on things like this is invaluable to civilians and those who train in general.
Thorough explanation of the position.
Thank you very much. That means a lot to us, especially coming from you.
Greyhive I appreciate that but I am just the king of the nobodys. ;)

Sounds like you are talking about the high compressed ready. And I agree with you 💯

I suggest adding it in all caps, a strong font and select extremely bold. You know, so they make sure they see it.
Greyhive: "Extremely bold"??
.... You must have Microsoft Word, MARSOC Edition.
Ha ha.
Solid!
got another good one we just dropped not the low ready too.

What happened to grey hive? No longer moving forward?
Are you using a G17 in your pistol ready demonstrations? Very good information.
That appears to be a G34
Aaron B. Thanks. I should have went with my first guess.
Drew is using a Glock 34, pretty much stock, and Ryan is using a Salient Arms G17 in his holster and in the new video we just launched on low ready.
What OR jacket is that and how is it holding up?
Its the Helium II Jacket, and from what he says it has held up well for quite a while now. He tends to tear stuff up pretty easily and its been good.
Greyhive awesome, i have a similar problem of destroying my clothes 👍
Lol something we don't tell our family members about lol Thailand
Hell yea!
thank you much
very tacticool
Slide bite
image stabilization giving me nausea
I came for daddy!

Does anyone know which sights Drew is using on his glock 34??
They are the Zev Tech .215 fiber optic sights
How many cops actually watching this
