- Johnny Depp defended his actions during an incident where his ex-wife Amber Heard claims he was verbally and physically abusive in testimony at the couple's defamation trial. Depp said the fight started when a friend of Heard's took some drugs and became "affectionate" with Heard and he had to remove her hands from his then-girlfriend. Depp denied that he physically assaulted Heard during the incident, but admitted to damaging their bathroom in the argument.

I can listen to Johnny Depp talk for an hour and it feels like 2 minutes. I can listen to Heard talk for 2 minutes and it feels like a lifetime.

His line of attack was extraordinarily WEAK, I honestly cannot even believe that this is what he went for. And it's been happening over and over by now during this trial. I know some witnesses, defendants especially, are coached to do so in order to form a "connection" with a jury. But as a juror, I didn't like it when witnesses would turn to us to answer a question rather than look at the person who asked it. It was fine if a lawyer said, "Tell the jury about (x) njght..." but to look every single time made us feel like the witness was disingenuous.

To be honest, in this case, I would think it's the right thing to do for your partner to politely intervene if another woman is inappropriately groping you. And he did so politely, because it was a woman. And had it been a man groping her, I'd expect him to be naturally harsher, with his words and more threatening.

JD employed a whole entourage of employees who he treated very generously and he supported AH and a whole slew of of her friends, who lived rent free at his various homes.
None of his current or ex employees has anything bad to say about him; none of his previous partners has anything bad to say about him. ALL of them were with him at points when he was drinking and using drugs. All have testified to his generosity and kindness, irrespective of his state.
None of AH's ''friends'' will testify on her behalf. There are dozens of videos, audio tapes and photos of ''damage'' and arguments, but not a single one of obvious verifiable injury to AH. It appears that when he got angry he smashed stuff INSTEAD of smashing AH.
Once the two sets of Counsel sum up, it will be found that AH's side have nothing but circumstantial testimony but no actual evidence, while JD's side will drive a truck through AH's narrative. I'll help them if they wish, I'm good at this stuff.
She has admitted to writing the Op Ed, despite an NDA forbidding it on pain of Legal Process and the financial damage to JD's career has been calculated and proven. The social damage is incalculable.
The only question marks are the Jury and the American Justice System itself, which has been brought into high relief by SCOTUS on Roe vs Wade.
Amber is so sickening the more I watch this trial the more I hate her and the more I love Johnny.

Her very first statement, ah said she wrote the op ed, she said " the op'ed that I wrote" so why continue to humiliate JD?
Because you still have to prove the op'ed was maliciously incorrect. That those two sentences were an intentional lie and hurt his career. The many issues in this trial include defining domestic abuse. Amber doesn't say domestic violence, she says domestic abuse, which is vague enough to consider insults and psychological abuse as domestic abuse. But, clearly, all of her pictures and all of her prior stories and testimony were used to frame the abuse as domestic violence, physical abuse. And then you have to look at whether Depp instigated any of that physical abuse or if it was only abusive in retaliation to Heard. For Depp to win, his team needs to convince every juror that Amber made up everything, but if they call Amber's sister to the stand, then Depp will lose. Whitney had already testified, in the Sun case, that Depp pushed her out of the way to get to Amber and that Depp was abusive.

I can say that if some strange woman was getting a little to "friendly" with my man, I would probably have done the same thing it not more. I do not fault Johnny for this incident, I think he handled it well and I believe the argument was probably that Amber DIDN'T do anything to stop her. He told her at the beginning of their relationship that if she wanted to do that then maybe they didn't need to be in a relationship because he was not okay with that.

Has a lot to do with strict upbringing of his parents born by 1930s, too, as what Johnny had said he thought was normal. Mom didn't say too much about them but my parents were within a few years but a bit older while Johnny is a little older than me. Even if divorced they were showing up occasionally in Mom's at large chapter of a club she started for people who couldn't commit to a county chapter. I can see it now but Mom said in 2009 I couldn't miss picking his father out of the couples photos web page she was working on as they looked enough like each other. That club was all volunteer if on staff so I thought it was too much for Mom that year and we lost her to heart attack. Many were nice but a lot of the elders their ages had those attitudes and that made it miserable when one sided taking advantage of Mom's efforts just do all these people could be social throughout the year each year. But I could see it about his Dad being friendlier to Mom and Dad than Mom.
