This is a fantastic camping/ travelling gadget , easy to use and easy to bring it with you in your bag. I think this is gonna be a perfect gift for my friend cause he likes to travel and he loves coffee.
Nice bit of kit 👍 Yes, not cheap, but with the ability to be able to use it at home and when away it looks like pretty good value for any true coffee lover. And you can't beat a proper good coffee at any time ☕
@IvanDP1967 exactly. If I didn't have a full blown machine at home this would make for a relatively cheap home coffee machine that I could also take to work, camping, travelling etc. 👌
It's a cool device, but I honestly don't see the point considering being able to take a 750ml thermos filled with hot coffee with me, which I can either drink on a day trip or reheat if I'm on a trip for a longer period of time. The size of the bottle doesn't vary much, and I have to carry the weight of the water around with me anyway. It starts to get interesting when I'm out for more than 2 or 3 days, but then I'd prefer a more lightweight and less pack size option anyway.
True but in your thermos you can only take one coffee. With this you can make several in a day if need be. It won't suit everyone but good to know it's out there as will suit many others. 👍
I haven't seen any coffee device that impresses me more than the aeropress or v60 for all round features and taste. I recommend trying the aeropress with the fello prismo attachment for a pseudo espresso.
@alanredversangel I've got an aeropress but not the prismo. I'd like to try it but I don't think it would be as good as a true espresso machine like this.
@suebrown3465 thanks Sue. I think it's a great idea if you haven't got an espresso machine at home as its not a bad price to cover you for that and then you've got espresso wherever you go 👌
@@NoviceWildCamper Really? You did say that you can use ground, that’s a win. Research the amount of waste created by pod drinkers. Give up using them. Not saying you discard the pods. Going to be popular on a camp site making coffee with all that buzzing. I’m sure it’s a great gadget but it’s not for me. Just purchased and used on a walk today the iBassingo (it’s one of those Chineses items that’s branded with lots of different names) titanium dripper coffee filter. Weighs almost nothing and it means no more paper filters. Most importantly it makes a nice cup of coffee. Not espresso though. How many cups can that gadget make on a single charge?
@hypo345 if it's boiling the water then only around 4 or 5 which is enough for a nights camping or two but if you put boiling water in to start it will literally make hundreds. I know what you mean about the noise but on a campsite there's way more noise than that from horrible happy people enjoying themselves 🤣 I've got one of those metal mesh coffee drippers but find it's not fine enough and the coffee is too week. I like the aeroporess and my brewer bags best for black coffee.
@@NoviceWildCamper Aero press is the one to beat for sure. One has to drip slowly or the coffee is weak, I add a wee bit more coffee than I would in my French press. I used a Fire Maple Petrel pot with one of those wire things that helps to pour the water more slowly and accurately. I used it a couple of times today and for the weight and size I’m more than happy with it, knee injury so reducing backpack weight is crucial ATM.
I love my good coffee at home, but out in the woods I'm somehow fine with instant. I'll rarely take my Aeropress, it really depends on the trip. Having said that, it's cool that things like this are available for the people with a coffee priority. If "the best gear" was a universal thing then this would be a boring hobby.
It has an option for a single espresso? What is this strange "single espresso" you speak of? Looks like a really good piece of kit, but at that price (more than my tent!) it's going on my "Must have, but other things to buy first" list. The mokka pot and Trangia will have to soldier on for a little longer.
😂 yeah it's not cheap but I suppose if you haven't got an espresso machine at home then this could cover for home, camping, work, travel etc and justify the cost then. As a stand alone espresso maker it's not cheap but I do love it 👍
Though sometime back you was stopping the review videos. Your channel do as like. 0 light are making a portable toilet that glows in the dark. Intressed ?
@SonofChurchill 🤣 not really. Yeah I'm doing some on my review channel and some here dependant on what they are. Although I'm also doing them on my terms and time frames now as well so no pressure. If they don't agree to my terms I don't do them. 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper it just smacks of glamping to me. I can do that stuff when at home. i don't want that type mof thing when i go minimalist wild camping. But each to their own.
As I said, it's not the smallest or lightest but you can use it at home, work, commuting on a train or camping if you like. Depends on how much you have to have an espresso over something not as good.
I did say you can use ground coffee, I don't have to show it. At the end of the day, I'm not going to stop pods being made or used and u also need to show how simple thus can be to make a coffee and pods are easier. Simple as that. I also carry shed loads of equipment for filming and reviews when camping so I can't take the kitchen sink along with me. I've never seen a discarded coffee pod of dartmoor but loads of plastic bags, tissues, tins from food etc so me posting a video that has either the option of pods or ground coffee isn't going to affect that.

Can I know the size of the double basket? I'm curious about the current size and height, including the lid.
@REALphotoAI hi. Full dimensions are all on the website but overall it doesn't change so it is 233mm tall with cup/lid and 78mm wide at the max.
