I've recently ordered a Picopresso as well so it's good to see this video ahead of time. However, I don't understand the part where you preheated the chamber, but then emptied the hot water and just left it there to cool down. It would make more sense to pour hot water in, press the pump a few times to get the water inside, then top it off with more hot water, then leave it covered until the moment you are ready to pull a shot, then remove/pump all the water out, then fill it up again with hot water and then start extraction.
Hi! I just happened to land at your channel while looking at your starseeker review, but now I'm just more relaxed watching your unedited, chill coffee talks. I haven't watched too much of your videos, but I' loving the ones I've seen so far. Keep up the good work!
I’m getting ready to buy one of these. Been doing a lot of research and your video sealed the deal for me to get this one over others. Hopefully my Timemore Chestnut C2 will get the job done for me. Thanks
Loved the video. I think the Picopresso will solve my lack of space in my kitchen from too many gadgets. My initial concern was the temperature of the espresso shot. But every review indicates that they are hot enough. Have you looked at the new pressure gauge? Would it add any value?
Hello, j'ai 1 picopresso. J'aime beaucoup vos petites améliorations. Je suis intéressée par le panier de la marque Pavona. Pouvez-vous vous me donner les références exactes ou bien le lien où je peux le commander. Merci et bonne continuation !
Great video and i just subscribed I'm having trouble with mine using 1zpresso j ultra 18 grams and the dial on 1.1 till 1.4 couldn't get a drinkable shot, 10 pumps 10 seconds no drops after another 10 pumps i can see the drops but no crema
I believe you need to go way coarser start with 2.5. Make sure your beans aren't old, to get good crema. It's mainly CO2 reserved inside the beans, and releases by time.
I am learning a lot from your videos, thanks so much. Quick question - do you have any thoughts on the stand for picopresso Wacaco sells? I am wondering if it is stable enough when pumping it. Thank you.
HAve yo a video with the original basket? Does it make crema as easily with the original on its own, or do you need th escreen you mentioned? Tx for doing the review
You'll love it, but hopefully, you also have a good grinder. Remember to do a pre-heating shot before putting the coffee to get the Pico hot and nice before extraction. And do the same by putting hot water in the cup while you prepare the puck.
I use Timemore C3 too, since this is widely available in my country and considered affordable. Learn how to do slow feeding, and angled grinding using this grinder to get the best grinded coffee.@@Francois_Dupont
@@morningcoffee1There is a manual espresso machine that is recommended for daily use and that does not have problems of spoiling so quickly due to use.
Unfortunately there is no tool like that in this compact size. Or else you can go for Flair, which is relatively bigger. Please note that the full metal body will also make it very hard to hold it in your hands due to the heat transfer.
That does not look like a flat burr grinder, show us what the burrs look like. it’s probably a conical Burr grinder. The only portable flat burr hand grinder I’ve seen is the Pietro.
Thanks for your comment. If you mean the dark grey hand grinder, then yes, it is a flat burr grinder. I posted a couple of videos about it on the channel. th-cam.com/video/YokgBs7r2HI/w-d-xo.html

I have the minipresso ns2 and I love it

That is a good way to show that the grinding is done.
The grinder looks nice!
Great content ☕️

Thanks for watching. I'm nit very convinced about the gauge. Just will add another weight to the portability of the Picopresso.
I just found your channel and i hope you keeping it up especially in Arabic language ( بلهجة حبايبنا المصريين❤)
Very creative tools

Thanks, I got it from amazon but can't find the link. Its a 51.5mm basket made by ims. H26

What is the difference in taste when using the stock basket VS the IMS basket?
It's more precise and gives more sweetness to the coffee. And more even extractions.

Thank you, brother 🙏. I think it's good, I actually didn't go for it because I have a stand for almost a year or more.
Thanks for your response. I am just getting into espresso. So excited to learn something new. @@morningcoffee1
I made my own stand from a $5 retort stand on my channel

It does crema with the original basket too.
i just got one 😁

Hey, what grind settings you've used with the K plus?
Depends on the beans, but usually between 2 and 3
Is there a tamper included in picopresso
Yes.
do you know of a good (and low price) manual coffee grinder for espresso?
your POTU model seems to be 250$ for my country.
You can get a Timemore C3. it can be ok. But not as good as a 1zpresso JX or K plus.

Is it recommended to use almost every day?
No, it depends on your need.

is there 100% stainless steel portable espresso maker that you could recommend? I hate plastics. Even a small touch with plastic I will not drink it/

Ervis?
What?
@@morningcoffee1lol you have the same voice/accent as my boss and hes a coffee nerd too lolololol
Mine does not give the cream it just comes out black water 🤷🏼♀️
That's because either the coffee is not freshly roasted or that you need to grind finer or that the temperature isn't good enough
