Hey Liezl, this is the second video of yours I’ve watched and I’m noticing an extraordinary amount of trolling negative comments here. Don’t be discouraged. You are helping so many people. Those who are for you will find you. In the meantime, thanks for the recipes!
Lil side tip for anyone who also buys carrots with the greens attached - you can save the greens, pop them in a food processor with olive oil, grated parmesan, garlic, a bit of nuts (I use walnuts), and some salt. Voila, you have a pesto! It's great on proteins, tossed in a pasta, etc., plus reduces food waste! ☺
I'm so glad I got back on the liezl train because I've been watching you for YEARS and somehow I wasn't seeing your videos for a long time and now I am again so I'm very happy I started watching you to relax but then I was learning so much about health and meal prep and now I watch you for both ! Your voice is so soothing I still love your South African accent
Hi Liezl. I’ve got a game changing hack that I use on all my green vegetables. It works particularly amazing with broccoli, green beans and kale. Cut up the broccoli into small pieces and put on a baking tray (or beans or kale) drizzle some olive oil over, salt pepper and garlic powder and then sprinkle over some nutritional yeast - it makes the veg taste cheesy and crispy! It’s so yummy!
Your videos are incredibly inspiring! They’ve given me the push I needed to start my own journey, and your content keeps me motivated every day. Thank you for sharing your passion!
The cannelini beans break down and thicken the soup because they were added early. If you prefer the beans whole, add them at the end. When they're from a can (or already soaked) all they really need to do is heat up.
Your recipes are always SO easy and convenient! I prepped the breakfast and snack last night, and this is literally the best baked oatmeal I've ever made! And instead of grapefruit, I had pomelo on hand and used that instead. I appreciate you and your videos!
Thank you for this!!! I'm 8 weeks pregnant and struggling to find high protein meals that look appetizing to me. Everything in this video looks delicious and you've given me so much inspiration! 🩷
Liezl, I absolutely love your recipes! I've recommended you to many coworkers and friends. I love how easy you make it to mix and match recipes by keeping meals around 400 calories and snacks at 200 calories. I've modified other recipes by other people to match this general "rule of thumb" to make my meal planning so much easier! Thank you!!
I prepped for 3 days. The lemon chicken was so delicious along with the green beans and roasted potatoes. I replaced oregano, thyme with fresh rosemary. Thanks so much for sharing your meal prepping.
I really liked seeing the hybrid layout for the weekly sections but really appreciate how your A5 planner has a page per day for more details and journaling. Yours is perfect!
Wow this is the type of meal prepping I want to do! That all looks delicious ! Your cookbook is now on my list 😋 I’m trying to lose 10 pounds, I want to start with these type of meals! Very unique and home warming ❤️ thank you!!!!
Yes thank you for the video 🙏 I bought your cook book to support your work! But I think what you've helped me with the most is portion control! I don't really count calories (or even use a point system atp), but after following a couple of your weekly preps I started adapting my own loved recipes to fit your process. I've lost ~30lbs (maintained a loss of 25lbs for a year now) in large part because of the stuff I've learned and applied to my life. Anyways thanks for inspiring me and giving me a direction with food prep stuff. I really credit your videos with giving me a starting point and somewhere to return when my ADHD is wreaking havoc on my ability to stay consistent. Much love and appreciation!
Happy New Year Liezl I’ve watched your video’s and excited you’re doing recent ones, I’ve tried a few of your recipes, bought your ebooks and meal prep too, thank you for sharing love your content ❤❤❤
Heyo i just checked out your blog and omg its amazing! So clean and organized, literally any question that came up was answered within like the next 3 lines. Tysm! Will def come back once i get my new freezer :DD
I’m so glad I came across your channel again! I used to watch you a few years back and then I had some issues with my TH-cam account. Resubscribed and going to binge watch some of your videos! It’s really lovely to see you are the same wonderful, calming Liezl that I remember! And love how inspiring you are to me, especially when getting in that meal funk, not knowing what to make or just eating crap food because I can’t be bothered to cook 🙈😂
I am so excited I found your videos I have been binge watching all week and I love how easy and flavourful they are. They have helped immensely while I am trying to meal plan. I was wondering if you had any lunch ideas for on the go? Particularly items to go into wraps or sandwiches. 😄
Thank you so much for thoses recipes! It's so simple, easy and delicious to do 😍😍😍 But warning for the chicken breast.. To ensure that it's well cooked, simply insert the thermometer in the thickest part and read the temperature. If it's 165 F (74 C) and above = cooked chicken 👍🏼...if not, put it back in the oven 🍗... Why is this important? Bacterial infections (ex Salmonella). I wish you a Happy New Year ❤️❤️❤️
Gonna be trying some of this stuff out/taking inspiration from it. Separately, I guess for the sake of time yeah I get wanting to rush through the cooking process, but for me, cooking, mis en place, all that stuff is very meditative and enjoyable and relaxing for me so I enjoy taking my time and also finding longer recipes or purposefully going slow just so I can spend more time to decompress in the kitchen. Not a judgement whatsoever just a me thing where I notice everyone always trying to make the meal prepping or singular dinner time recipe etc etc go by before you can blink and I find it curious more people don’t find any meditation in the methodicalness of chopping stuff and knowing you’re spending your own time and love on something nutritious and getting to really really engage w the ingredients more, idk, for lack of a better word “intimately” sometimes because spending time w smtn is also how you learn more about it instead of just memorizing I do xyz thing then not knowing how to pivot or adapt when smtn isn’t quite exactly to how the 5 minute steps are supposed to be
Thank you for sharing this!! I just subscribed after watching this. I’m trying to eat healthy but was sooo bored with my meals. Can’t wait to try some of these recipes !!
I cooked your lemon pepper chicken, roast potato, and green bean dinner. Absolutely DELISH. How do you heat up the leftovers? They’ve tasted rubbish after heating up in the microwave
yum this all looks amazing! if you haven't already can you do a plant tour video? lol... I love all of your plants and want some for my home is well and I'd love to know all the ones you have!
Happy New Year Liezl. Love ur recipes. Can we skip the coffee in the oatmeal and just add water? Also, I have noticed my salads go bad in 2-3 days max if I meal prep. I wanted to know what air fryer would you recommend? Many thanks 😊
happy new year to you too! The coffee is the main flavor in the oatmeal, so I wouldn't skip it.. but if you dont like coffee you can try one of my other baked oatmeal recipes in these videos: th-cam.com/video/XmrqmOmt2aY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom or th-cam.com/video/9F6YPJwfzGs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom then for salads - you can try this thai peanut salad and keep the sauce on the side until you wanna eat it (in this video): th-cam.com/video/tf8lOrMsgxo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom as for air fryer - I don't have an air fryer yet so I can't recommend one.. sorry :)
Hi Liezl. Happy new year 🎉. I really really love your recipes but this one doesn’t seem to have the specific oven times for the chicken + potatoes + green beans. I’ve gone through your blog and couldn’t find that info. Looking forward to more videos ❤
Is there anything else you can substitute for the tomato paste instead for the soup?? I have gastritis and can't eat anything with tomatoes in it. Thanks im advance. 😊
Just a heads-up from my own experience: people who have problems with nuts sometimes have sensitivities to legumes. I can eat sunflower, pumpkin, and flaxseeds.
I LOVE balsamic vinegar on chicken! but unfortunately, I'm one of the people who get severe tummy pains when I eat it : ( I thought my appendix was gonna burst...

13:51 hair on the onion in the chicken pan. why not tie your hair when cooking? kinda gross even if it is your own. I cannot make anything in the kitchen without tying my hair first. I don't like surprise touches.
Then don't mislead people by saying it takes 1-hour. Then immediately contradicting yourself first thing in the video. That doesn't speak well of you and your content.

Hi Liezl, I am intrested in your 4 weeks meal plan and was wondering how many protein is included in the 1600 or 1800 calory plan. Nice videos, btw.
Hi Liezl. Happy new year 🎉. I really really love your recipes but this one doesn’t seem to have the specific oven times for the chicken + potatoes + green beans. I’ve gone through your blog and couldn’t find that info.
Looking forward to more videos ❤
Looks delicious. What temp and how long did you cook the chicken? (I always tend to dry out boneless breasts)
What’s the temperatures and times for all the items? I know the grapefruit is 20 minutes and the oatmeal bake is 40 minutes…thank you
I believe she said in the video that she preheated her oven to 380F
@@audreystanifer5681 thanks kindly, I missed that!
I was wondering the times as well!
I did the green beans for 15ish minutes, chicken for 20, and potatoes for 30ish

Ooh, a fellow South African!
Lot of food good for you doing it I don’t like to cook always and not so good cooking 😂❤
What was the oven temperature for the oatmeal? Did i miss it?
What’s the temperature and the time for the chicken?????
She had everything in @ 380°F, but I don't know how long
For the first recipe, if you are not a coffee lover what can be substituted for it.
those green beans still have the stem on!
Is there anything else you can substitute for the tomato paste instead for the soup?? I have gastritis and can't eat anything with tomatoes in it. Thanks im advance. 😊
Liezl, where are you from? I just love your accent!
Wonderful
Ive always had issues with potatoes being in the fridge even overnight? how does it stay fresh for so long?
Looks good but HOW ON EARTH do you get the food to stay fresh for so long?
It’s funny that some people have never had a warm grapefruit!
Hello,
Thanks for the meal ideas! My sons are allergic to nuts, what substitution could I use for the nut butter for the oatmeal bars?
I used to use soy nuts and soy nut butter or sunflower seed butter for my daughter who is also allergic to nuts.
@ thank you!
Just a heads-up from my own experience: people who have problems with nuts sometimes have sensitivities to legumes. I can eat sunflower, pumpkin, and flaxseeds.
@ thank you!
I never had warm grapefruit. How does it tast?
I LOVE balsamic vinegar on chicken!
but unfortunately, I'm one of the people who get severe tummy pains when I eat it : (
I thought my appendix was gonna burst...
What protein powder do you use?
What do people do for the last day? Do people not work 5 days?
What temperature she put the oven for grapefruit?
190C
Hello. No link for the soup containers.
I added the link now for the jars and lids :)
A meal prep with someone who actually cooks ❤
you call this cooking? LOL

Do you grease your pan for the chicken? You didn’t !!!!
