Hey Liezl, this is the second video of yours I’ve watched and I’m noticing an extraordinary amount of trolling negative comments here. Don’t be discouraged. You are helping so many people. Those who are for you will find you. In the meantime, thanks for the recipes!

Lil side tip for anyone who also buys carrots with the greens attached - you can save the greens, pop them in a food processor with olive oil, grated parmesan, garlic, a bit of nuts (I use walnuts), and some salt. Voila, you have a pesto! It's great on proteins, tossed in a pasta, etc., plus reduces food waste! ☺

And add a bit of basil too! Basil is the main flavour in pesto, you can’t leave that out! ❤

Hi Liezl. I’ve got a game changing hack that I use on all my green vegetables. It works particularly amazing with broccoli, green beans and kale.
Cut up the broccoli into small pieces and put on a baking tray (or beans or kale) drizzle some olive oil over, salt pepper and garlic powder and then sprinkle over some nutritional yeast - it makes the veg taste cheesy and crispy!
    It’s so yummy!

The cannelini beans break down and thicken the soup because they were added early. If you prefer the beans whole, add them at the end. When they're from a can (or already soaked) all they really need to do is heat up.

Liezl, I absolutely love your recipes! I've recommended you to many coworkers and friends. I love how easy you make it to mix and match recipes by keeping meals around 400 calories and snacks at 200 calories. I've modified other recipes by other people to match this general "rule of thumb" to make my meal planning so much easier! Thank you!!

Yes thank you for the video 🙏 I bought your cook book to support your work! But I think what you've helped me with the most is portion control! I don't really count calories (or even use a point system atp), but after following a couple of your weekly preps I started adapting my own loved recipes to fit your process. I've lost ~30lbs (maintained a loss of 25lbs for a year now) in large part because of the stuff I've learned and applied to my life.
Anyways thanks for inspiring me and giving me a direction with food prep stuff. I really credit your videos with giving me a starting point and somewhere to return when my ADHD is wreaking havoc on my ability to stay consistent.
    Much love and appreciation!

Thank you so much for thoses recipes! It's so simple, easy and delicious to do 😍😍😍
But warning for the chicken breast.. To ensure that it's well cooked, simply insert the thermometer in the thickest part and read the temperature. If it's 165 F (74 C) and above = cooked chicken 👍🏼...if not, put it back in the oven 🍗... Why is this important? Bacterial infections (ex Salmonella). I wish you a Happy New Year ❤️❤️❤️

Gonna be trying some of this stuff out/taking inspiration from it. Separately, I guess for the sake of time yeah I get wanting to rush through the cooking process, but for me, cooking, mis en place, all that stuff is very meditative and enjoyable and relaxing for me so I enjoy taking my time and also finding longer recipes or purposefully going slow just so I can spend more time to decompress in the kitchen. Not a judgement whatsoever just a me thing where I notice everyone always trying to make the meal prepping or singular dinner time recipe etc etc go by before you can blink and I find it curious more people don’t find any meditation in the methodicalness of chopping stuff and knowing you’re spending your own time and love on something nutritious and getting to really really engage w the ingredients more, idk, for lack of a better word “intimately” sometimes because spending time w smtn is also how you learn more about it instead of just memorizing I do xyz thing then not knowing how to pivot or adapt when smtn isn’t quite exactly to how the 5 minute steps are supposed to be

happy new year to you too! The coffee is the main flavor in the oatmeal, so I wouldn't skip it.. but if you dont like coffee you can try one of my other baked oatmeal recipes in these videos: th-cam.com/video/XmrqmOmt2aY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom or th-cam.com/video/9F6YPJwfzGs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom
then for salads - you can try this thai peanut salad and keep the sauce on the side until you wanna eat it (in this video): th-cam.com/video/tf8lOrMsgxo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LiezlJayneStrydom
as for air fryer - I don't have an air fryer yet so I can't recommend one.. sorry :)

13:51 hair on the onion in the chicken pan. why not tie your hair when cooking? kinda gross even if it is your own. I cannot make anything in the kitchen without tying my hair first. I don't like surprise touches.

It’s the stems from the fresh thyme - that’s how they look after cooking and the little leaves fall off

@@LiezlJayneI looooove those crisped-up thyme stems after roasting. YUM. (And it was very clearly not hair!)

That was an herb branch 🤦‍♀️.You probably dont even use fresh herbs, otherwise you would know it was not a hair.

Then don't mislead people by saying it takes 1-hour. Then immediately contradicting yourself first thing in the video. That doesn't speak well of you and your content.

You must be new here. She normally does and sticks to one hour. She and her content are fine, Mother Teressa
