MY TOP 3 Welcome to the Moon Maps & Campaign Review!

I played the entire campaign of Welcome to the Moon (all 8 scenarios!) and these are my favorite maps. I'll tell you what makes the campaign so special and how the maps tell a story from scenario to scenario.
As well, if you're unfamiliar with the "Welcome to" mechanic, I'll give you a fantastic brush up before starting my countdown!

I just finished my first play of 6 with the solo campaign, and I agree with you completely! Such a brain melter! I was very surprised, as most feedback I'd heard on 6 was that it was least favourite for most people, but I think it's my favourite so far! It forced me into a very different strategy. I'm absolutely loving this game! Based on your video, I can't wait to try 8!

glad you like WTM. for campain score, it made in purpose to be sur player like you who don't earn many point at start still be in race for victory until the last adventure. May be it's not the best way but it's why we made scoring like that. Enjoy your next campain

This game is way way better than the Welcome To... original game. Playing with our group, there was a bit of "drama" discussions as the game progressed past that first map (which was pretty straight forward... the other maps not so much)

I agree with most of your thoughts. It's a really fun and I've only played it solo!
My order, from best to worst, is:
85741236
(I might swap 5 and 7 on another day)
... but like you I don't dislike any of them. 6 is my least favourite because of the extra rules overhead, but I don't hate it (conversely, 2 is quite low because it's a bit too simple... clearly I'm very fickle!)
Also as a Brit, I was very pleased to hear you pronounce 'route' properly, I thought all Americans said 'rout' ;-)

Good summary ! this game is fantastic but it needs time to plenty discover it. Not an easy flip and write.

Great review! Which map was tied with #5 for 3rd place before you decided to stick with #5?

Ah, it was #4. I liked the way it had three rows of numbers with scoring for completed columns.

The game looks like great. How would you compare the replayability to the original?

I think this game (the first map and any map after) is more replayable than the original.
