Dear Trump, Within the last two days I went from Rank 18 to Legend for the April season with a single deck that has been just TEARING through the competition. I hope you'll give it a try! I've seen other similar decks, but none with a list quite this aggressive: Turbo Token Druid 2 Innervate 2 Argent Squire 2 Enchanted Raven 2 Fire Fly 2 Mark of the Lotus 2 Young Dragonhawk 1 Dire Wolf Alpha 2 Mark of Y'Shaarj 2 Power of the Wold 2 Ravasaur Runt 1 Tortollan Forager 2 Eggnapper 2 Savage Roar 2 Vicious Fledgling 2 Swipe 2 Living Mana It's got very high win percentages against any minion-based deck, including all the hunters, shamans, rogues, priests and druids. Only bad matchups are dedicated control warriors and rogues.
Rainy It's a fun add. I still don't know if it's better then two Golaka (or however you spell it) as I haven't done enough testing. Though it does seem like it's as good or better as of right now.
Veiregor O' Real You do know you're on the Hearthstone channel that's known for doing science right? Oh and it seems to be working pretty well, it gets countered by anyone running giant wasp but I personally haven't ran into to many of those. Edit: Forgot to mention it doesn't work that well against Quest Rouge unless they get an unlucky draw. That being said if they get a good draw they win, but that's Rouge Quest against everything right now.

What would you say is the best swap in for rat pack? I'm trying carrion grub but I feel like it might be a poor choice. Other options I can think of are shaky zipgunner and eggnapper (sceptical about that one).
I usually run a 1 of flare for tempo mages. They like to set up the ice when lethal is already on board and set up a freeze turn. Flare gets around adapting stealth adapts too.
I've been running crazed alchemist in my decks and it's been working out pretty good. Crushes frost nova doomsayer and shaman totems. Worst case it's a crappy 2 drop.
It's not a SMOrc deck all the time, depends on what you're fighting. Decks you have to SMOrc against: Mage (Freeze/Exodia) Rogue (Quest/Miracle) Decks you have to trade at least early on: Midrange/Murloc Paladin (Whatever we call it now that it plays more early game w/o Anyfin) Mirror Match (The player who controls the board and denies the other player beasts wins) Pirate Warrior (Definitely not favored, you do have a chance with Golakka Crawler) Weird cases: Priest (They taunt up and sometimes you have to kill a minion before he heals it after doing a bad trade for you) Taunt Warrior (So many taunts, you need to push damage through quickly while avoiding letting your minions drop to 1 health since they run whirlwind + ghoul) That's mostly what they're playing around rank 3 as of today, spent all day grinding between 4 and 1, ended on 3 for now. Hope that helps. Remember, midrange != face hunter.
+Glenn Hurd I'm just embracing the memes here. I played with the deck and know it does care about the board. But sometimes you have to realise you're still a hunter and punch their face like a real orc you are.
Golakka Crawler is a win more card. I have yet to lose a single game to pirate warrior or quest rogue with my midrange hunter. You'd be better swapping it with deadly shot or hunters mark to help with matchups which are actually bad, like taunt warrior or priest.
It is the best two drop after Razormaw and has dank synergy with hyena and rhino for example, and it sticks, which is really good for hunter. Also, adventures are really good value for money considering the amount of cards - and legendaries you get (curator and mediv!) My point being just buy the adventure!

If you just want to swap it in to this deck, drop the tolvir warden which is a terrible pick in this deck. Swamp king isn't the worst card, i packed it too and am trying it out. (I'm not saying swamp king is the best replacement for tolvir warden btw, a tundra rhino would be better)
Nope, it's too slow. It's a fantastic counter to the quest IF you get to 7 and they're still trying to complete, but realistically most rogues seem to be completing the quest earlier than that unless they are unlucky. Since the best counter to rogue quest so far seems just SMOrcing them down as fast as you can and hoping for the best, having swamp king won't really change anything. It might be much more useful against quest warrior... i'm still undecided on that but he's staying in my deck for now.
I didn't know about the teaching videos you make i can't wait to check them out, i really am enjoying hunter right now, i just checked my wins on hunter so far like 50/500 to get gold so i know if i grind it out i'll get better as i get my gold, i am hovering around rank 13 , on this video tho i notice you run Tol'vir Warden i really found it too slow and the stat line to just not be great, it not being a beast it has no real deck synergy with stuff like Houndmaster or even kill Comand, I know i have heard you say You don't like Tundra Rhino, but i don't know if i am a good enough player to know why you don't prefer it over Tol'vir Warden, stuff like Rhino into Highmane or even the other way around it works great with the decks how many Deathrattle summon a beast effect, giving those beast charge can equate to a great tempo from of tempo and really favorable trades, Rhino has won me games off of giving me charge stuff like hyena... Unless you are running quest hunter (and you shouldn't, unless its just for laughs, because it's worse than non-quest decks) you should not run tolvir warden. Rhino is 100% the better card and will win you way more games than tolvir. It sounds like you've got a really solid handle on exactly why rhino is better, so kudos to you for that!

He kind of did the same thing last expansion with Dopplegangster, trying to shoehorn it into so many decks it really didn't belong in. I guess we all probably have that one card we personally think is so underrated even though it's pretty trash and we shouldn't keep using it. Mine is Spellbender in mage, lol. Have you tried running Vicious Fledgling yet? Especially since you're running rhinos, if you get the chance to play it with charge you can get some crazy value out of it. Charging it in, getting windfury, attack again, getting stealth... pretty nice.

I'm trying 2 decks atm, one i dropped unleash exactly for the reason you say. The other, I've kept unleash but only because I'm also running scavenging hyenas and they're basically used for dogfood :P. Taunt warrior is such a tough match... i've almost thought about running stubborn gastropods to see if that does anything.

When Trump played Dred, I wanted to see the reaction he had if the rogue ran Assassinate and just used it to remove Dred. (I run Assassinate in my quest rogue deck)
So what? Much hype for the quests but in the end 2 are played - Warrior and Rogue, with occasionally Mage. Not to mention people are prefering Miracle to Quest Rogue and Freeze and Tempo to Quest Mage.
Man I'm really starting to question if rogue is as cancerous as people think it is. Turns out doing pretty much nothing until turn 5 can often put you so far behind that spawning a bunch of 5/5's might not be good enough.
Dio _Playing on curve_ means _spending your mana wisely/efficiently_ . Example. On turn 5. You have Quick Shot(2 mana), 4 drop, 5 drop in your hand. 4 drop is slightly better stand-alone than your 5 drop. So you play your 4 drop. Turn 6. Opponent played a minion that you need to remove. You have to use Quick Shot. 2 mana you must spend, 4 mana left, you can't play your 5 drop. If you had played your 5 drop on turn 5 even when it's slightly suboptimal, you could have played Quick Shot and a 4 drop on your turn 6. This is just an example. But you could guess how not wasting mana is sometimes important. It stacks turn by turn. Each mana wasted per turn means a lot of wasted mana in the end. Once you know how to efficiently spend mana, you can lure the opponent to screw up his mana curve. Like half-forcing him to use his hero power on turn 4 and stuff. Spending 2 mana on turn 4 means he can't play his 3 or 4 drop, making him lose tempo.
The main point is trying to spend as much of your mana as possible within the foreseeable future (i.e., this turn and 1-2 turns after that). I think it's pretty self-explanatory why wasting mana is bad. Of course you can't just do this blindly, but a lot of good decks are built in such a way that in the beginning-to-middle of the game, the best plays tend to spend all the mana.
Swamp King Dred rekt that Rogue. Why not just add it to the deck? It seems like a really good counter to lots of things. Like Quest Mage couldn't play their Sorcerer's Apprentices, the Rogue couldn't build his board... idk.

I will explain it with an example, from 10 games vs rogue quest 8 got i completed before turn 6, king Dred costs 7 mana, cant counter rogue. And with mage they have the transformation in sheep.
Is it time to bring knife juggler back into hunter? Between alleycat, unleash, infested wolf, rat pack, and the deathrattle adaptation, there's a bunch of synergy there. Probably can't fit it in though. Shame.
MyViolador it's fun as fuck and is pretty good against aggro. Each taunt is like adding health to you. Honestly the hardest matchup for me is a mirror match lol.

He was probably in the mindset of playing against an Exodia Mage, who often use giants for kill-turns because the extra turn effectively gives them charge. That's the only answer I can come up with.
first game describes why I hate mage so much. They can simply throw spells at your face and be safe with 2x Ice Block and other freeze effects. I'm not a smorc player, I generally play combo / control decks. And it's fucking unfair that he can just ignore the board and hit face with fireball and other shit of that kind
I wouldn't call quest rogue bad. People just know how to play against the deck more, so it's more on balance now. I went from rank 11 to 5 yesterday and today playing quest rogue almost exclusively.
Jacinto Joseph Dimen taunt warrior is alive and well, but the others are usually too slow. You'll get the odd rogue here and there, an exodia mage or Two, but that's all.
9:00 "as long as you're playing a good deck to begin with" yeaah considering i have half-crafted decks and have gone up against nothing but quests at low rank (meaning i need a deck that confirmed beats quest decks to get through), im going to probably be playing arena for a while until i can actually build a viable deck (my best decks are a midtier midrange shaman, a suicide ramp druid, and im decent at hunter so maybe midrange/secret hunter (explosive trap and snipe are pretty good against quest rogue)

When Trump played Dred, I wanted to see the reaction he had if the rogue ran Assassinate and just used it to remove Dred. (I run Assassinate in my quest rogue deck)
So what? Much hype for the quests but in the end 2 are played - Warrior and Rogue, with occasionally Mage. Not to mention people are prefering Miracle to Quest Rogue and Freeze and Tempo to Quest Mage.

Man I'm really starting to question if rogue is as cancerous as people think it is. Turns out doing pretty much nothing until turn 5 can often put you so far behind that spawning a bunch of 5/5's might not be good enough.
Why is playing 'on curve' so important? I know this is kinda dumb but I've been wondering since I heard of it.

_Playing on curve_ means _spending your mana wisely/efficiently_ .
Example.
On turn 5. You have Quick Shot(2 mana), 4 drop, 5 drop in your hand. 4 drop is slightly better stand-alone than your 5 drop. So you play your 4 drop.
Turn 6. Opponent played a minion that you need to remove. You have to use Quick Shot. 2 mana you must spend, 4 mana left, you can't play your 5 drop.
If you had played your 5 drop on turn 5 even when it's slightly suboptimal, you could have played Quick Shot and a 4 drop on your turn 6.
This is just an example. But you could guess how not wasting mana is sometimes important. It stacks turn by turn. Each mana wasted per turn means a lot of wasted mana in the end.
Once you know how to efficiently spend mana, you can lure the opponent to screw up his mana curve. Like half-forcing him to use his hero power on turn 4 and stuff. Spending 2 mana on turn 4 means he can't play his 3 or 4 drop, making him lose tempo.
The main point is trying to spend as much of your mana as possible within the foreseeable future (i.e., this turn and 1-2 turns after that). I think it's pretty self-explanatory why wasting mana is bad. Of course you can't just do this blindly, but a lot of good decks are built in such a way that in the beginning-to-middle of the game, the best plays tend to spend all the mana.

Swamp King Dred rekt that Rogue. Why not just add it to the deck? It seems like a really good counter to lots of things. Like Quest Mage couldn't play their Sorcerer's Apprentices, the Rogue couldn't build his board... idk.

I will explain it with an example, from 10 games vs rogue quest 8 got i completed before turn 6, king Dred costs 7 mana, cant counter rogue. And with mage they have the transformation in sheep.

Um...how? Mages are known for having burn damage with spells, not leeroy jenkins.
He was probably in the mindset of playing against an Exodia Mage, who often use giants for kill-turns because the extra turn effectively gives them charge. That's the only answer I can come up with.

first game describes why I hate mage so much. They can simply throw spells at your face and be safe with 2x Ice Block and other freeze effects. I'm not a smorc player, I generally play combo / control decks. And it's fucking unfair that he can just ignore the board and hit face with fireball and other shit of that kind

I wouldn't call quest rogue bad. People just know how to play against the deck more, so it's more on balance now. I went from rank 11 to 5 yesterday and today playing quest rogue almost exclusively.

Jacinto Joseph Dimen taunt warrior is alive and well, but the others are usually too slow. You'll get the odd rogue here and there, an exodia mage or Two, but that's all.
9:00 "as long as you're playing a good deck to begin with" yeaah considering i have half-crafted decks and have gone up against nothing but quests at low rank (meaning i need a deck that confirmed beats quest decks to get through), im going to probably be playing arena for a while until i can actually build a viable deck (my best decks are a midtier midrange shaman, a suicide ramp druid, and im decent at hunter so maybe midrange/secret hunter (explosive trap and snipe are pretty good against quest rogue)
