I finally saw this today. I don't think it needed the sequel either. It was bound to be repetitive. My husband actually commented that Joy didn't learn any lessons because she kept deleting the bad memories! Envy was only really envious in the beginning and lacked the same definition as the other feelings. And I thought strange that Anxiety came and overruled everyone. But that was also what Joy did in the first one... My daughter thought it was great! So it worked. The last scene of them at the table and they ask her how was camp and Riley goes "it was ok" is gold! A lot of adults in my audience laughed because it was real! I still ❤ the first one and it had a special, timeless message, we need to live all the emotions, they are all trying to teach us something.
That last scene was brilliant 😂 the dad’s reaction was spot on! 😂 I’m grateful it wasn’t the car crash I expected going in, it definitely managed to still pull something together by the end 😊 thanks for watching!
Definitely agree with your thought mate! I got to see the movie yesterday and I did like it a little bit more than the first movie but it has a lot of floors and for me like yourself the anxiety character was a bit puzzling with its decisions

I thought Inside Out 2 was a great follow-up to a really great Pixar film. I’d definitely watch this again even though I do agree with some of your negatives. The ending was probably my favourite part too, it was emotionally satisfying.
