A lot of people are critical of late-era Mulligan and O'Hare, and it's hard to argue that the classic run of albums of Tittybiscuits to Pancake Day are anything but their creative peak, but you know what, Caravan Park has a certain charm to it which those records don't have, and it's great to see that they're still hungry enough to continue to develop their sound into the 21st century and keep up with the musical trends of Gen Z. A triumphant return to form imo.
I agree. This was clearly their masterpiece. A culmination of a life's work as art in the responding to and the interpretation of the socio-economic environment these two fine artistes exposed themselves to. Even though the allegations made against them were proven in court to be untrue, they never made anything better. They left us with this, their finest hour. "Stunning." Q Magazine. "Makes Van Morrison's Astral Weeks irrelevant." Mojo Magazine. "Unbelievable live." Lancashire Folk Singing Society.
Omg totally forgot about Mulligan and O’Hare, and have been humming Tippy Toes and would legitimately buy Caravan Park! Vic and Bob are pure comedy genius, and I would watch them on tv in the early 1990s. Thanks for uploading and keeping the legend alive!
I've got the gatefold sleeve vinyls. The sleeve folds out 150 times. I've got a rare white label of unreleased songs from their 1982 era stuff, including Excuse Me, Tooth Brown, Have You Got A Ladder. And The Fall-esque The Caretakers Reunion Ball.

I bought Caravan Park by Mulligan & O’Hare a few years ago on vinyl. 150 songs on each side, now that’s value for money, just like a caravan holiday. I just thought I’d mention, I got the limited edition zoetrope version, as the record plays Mulligan & O’Hare tippy toe all over side A and the horse rears up an awful lot on side B. Hypnotic stuff!
I rank this as 58th on my favourite Mulligan and O'Hare albums list. Below such classics as "Nigel And His Seven Trampolines" and "The Dentist Chair Never Tells A Soul", but above the later Death Metal era, despite "Slaughtered Battered Sausage" being a very fine standout.
As someone who’s done some VO work for some truly hideous Irish country & folk CD adverts - so low budget you’d be lucky to find them in a petrol station bargain bucket - this isn’t far from the truth! Decades behind the current times, a video budget of a pint of Guinness, and mullets galore!
Fucking funny. Down here in Australia, we were heavily influenced by British comedy, but for some reason, we missed the boat with these two, fuck knows why.
@@MorrisseysMonkey Thank God for TH-cam! The song "Dizzy" was a hit down here and it wasn't until I saw Hebburn that I realised that Vic Reeves was a stage name. So I've got some catching up to do.
Have you heard the new album yet? 'My Father's Tricycle'? i'm still waiting for the first single 'Back Packer's Bondage' to drop. I hear it's supposed to be a return to form. MC Toilet Duck is supposed to appear on the album too.

The Horse Reared Up will soon become a classic. Whenever I drop my sandwich this song will give me hope.
This song always gives hope. Even in the darkest hours..
Horse Reared Up is quite the rocker. The Policemens' Parade will never be the same again.
Completely off-the-wall bonkers, love it.
I was in tears laughing 😂
Hahah! Aye, crazy lads god bless 'em!
“Everyone panicked, my mother dropped her sandwich” 😂 Jesus these two are legends.
I've bought the updated cd of these classic tunes, absolutely delighted with It.
'Updated'? don't tell me it's the very rare mix by the quite old but still thinks he is 21 Pete Tong?

AHhhhhh! A rare LP indeed. And its is worth at least £800,000,000,000,001p
@@MorrisseysMonkey There's one on Discogs for sale at that exact price. vg-/vg- doesn't sound very promising though!

Indeed my friend, now we are stuck with woke 'comedy' and Micheal McIntyre.
😢 Even Bradley Walsh seems funny

What about Mickey Flanagan ?

I would genuinely buy this album. Horse Reared Up is a classic of its time

One of the all time classics! better than 'Right Said Fred-The Singles'
Did anyone else think of the song "Horse Reared Up" during the Coronation?
