Oscar these last handful of zoo animals I am absolutely in love with it. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend forge on. Can't wait to see what u forge next
I'm wondering if you have any advice as I am a beginner to forging. One of the things I am struggling most with is putting twists into my work, I can twist the metal but the twist isn't very prevalent and it doesn't look nice
Sure Anna, so the most important thing about twisting is to get an even heat, if you have an even heat it will twist even. Second is apply even torque, so make sure your twisting tool has two arms so you can apply an even pressure. A tip to keep the twist straight is to pull slightly away from the vice as you’re twisting. It may not be looking quite right due to the stock you’re twisting, square section creates a prominent twist due to the sharp corners. Where as twisting round bar will do next to nothing. It’s all about the corners the sharper they are the more you will see the twist, experiment a little. I hope this helps!
1a klasse Arbeit sehr schön gemacht und gut erklärt👍👍👍

Nice project. Outstanding work on the antlers. That looks difficult. Fiddly at best
Yes fiddly! Thank you.
Like the video, Donald. I only wonder how you keep your shirt so white?
Thank you! It’s not my everyday forging shirt so doesn’t see too much abuse 😂
