Head and shoulder is a pretty agressive shampoo well not realy agressive but it strips ur hair of any oil in ur hair then when u stop using it u get alot of dandrufft since ur hair got used to being dry all the time so it accumilates alot more oil
Head and shoulders is really damaging to the scalp, because it's very aggressive. This causes more dandruff in the long term. If you have dandruff it's better to use very mild shampoo

Watching becuz I have dreads and I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed to do my friend's hair who is white. Watching I think I'm gonna add locking gel after crocheting.
It could be that he just washed his hair not long before getting the dreads, the rest of his hair didn't look fuzzy or oily. I myself have a lot of dandruff (that's what the white stuff is called) since I was like 5. I wash my hair thoroughly every once in 2 days, but it's no use. If I wash my hair in the morning the dandruff will be back in the evening. Different shampoos or "washing my hair out better" doesn't work. Also, I can't even wash my hair every day because of it. The dandruff forms slightly faster than my scalp produces new skin. If I where to wash my hair everyday, after 4 days my scalp would be irritated and burning, because to much skin has been rubbed out. I can't even sleep then, just laying on a pillow is painful. I'll have to rub some aloe Vera and echinaforce salf in my hair at night to calm it down. So yeah, long story short, might just be his scalp being a pain in the ass
Surprisingly i figured out you and your brother couldve got a lot more dreadlocks with a cleaner look amd easier bcuz i have straight hair like your brothers and was able to make 50 - 70 dreads on my head with hightop fade but the thicken over time they feel light at first over time they are alot better P.S. The catch is they are harder to crotchet and take longer to mature as well as u cant reattach any

Donut Bun I think locks are a permanent style. IMO. It will damamge your hair taking it out. I believe they are long term. If you only plan on having them in for t a couple of months i just wouldnt

To be honest, I had dandruff problems my whole life and nothing really worked but this one remedy and the best remedy to do and I swear by it is just get coconut oil and rub it in your scalp all over and leave it in for 30 minutes so your hair can absorb the moisture and then wash it off . I’m not sure with the dreads but I know it works on my hair
Love your hair! Have you ever showed your scalp to a doctor? I believe you have something called head or scalp psoriasis. A lot of times it just looks like dandruff on steroids. I mean there is a lot more scaling off the head than just regular dandruff. It requires a special prescription shampoo. One prescription shampoo is called Ketoconazole. It does amazing clearing up the scalp. Your doctor would be able to give you a prescription for Ketoconazole if they think that’s what you need. Good luck! Your brother and friends did a great job on your dreads!
u don't need head and shoulder shampoo. you just need Mustard oil and yogurt. 1st apply oil on hair properly so u can reach each sides, after applying oil put yogurt the same way u have applied oil and then once u done on all hair u just cover them with plastic bag for 20min. after that then wash them. no hair damage no nothing simple and easy and better then shampoo
I do clockwise rubbing with loc peppa from dreadheadhq but once they're mature, you can use another tool to go into the lock from a few inches down the loc and push towards the scalp, put the loose roots in the gap, then you close the loop and pull the loose hair inside the lock and palm roll .
Jus leave it fam. STRAIGHT HAIR LOOKS NICE! As a child I always wanted straight hair it was rlly cool but I had afro hair. Also blacks have been having these types of hairstyles because it was their hair and it looks wrong a black man with straight hair and a white man with dreads.
actually u can decide on ur own which thickness u prefer by using a method of twist n rip and backcombing. but be aware - the more u r doing backcombing the shorter the dreads gets. oh, and pls do NOT interlock ur dreads. it's not good at all. oh, and one last important thing: do NOT crochet hook like they did in the vid (e. g. 8:30), the tip of the crochet hook needs to point to the end of the dread and NOT towards the roots (very important), bcs it stresses ur hair way more, especially if u do it near the roots. let's say u do it wrong (close to the roots) and u carry ur dread usually in one direction (like backwards) and now u wanna try a new look (like to front) and u put the dread to the front of ur face. now the hair of the root is pulling way harder on the skin bcs it wasn't crochet hooking the right way. oh gosh, it's so hard to explain, but i hope u got the idea... ^^ oh and if u r wanna do dreads on ur own - just buy some cheap hair and try it first. usually u r getting these sort of little "bulbs" in the dreads. reason for that is less experience/practice and 2nd wrong technique. i wish u all the best on ur dread journey
