    I got the MT10 first , then the Typhon. They both handle totally different - the Typhon handles amazingly well compared to the MT10. Really nice to just hoon round on, and with the new 2.8inch proline badlands tyres ive put on, it goes as off road as well as the trucks. Dont get me wrong though, i love the MT10 too - both fantastic 😊

      Hey buddy , thanks for stopping by .
      Yeah the typhon is awesome fun quick out the box and handles so well . I sold mine recently and regretted straight away .
      The MT10 is fun though just a strong crazy little basher

    hi chris and good friend owen
    i will say i like owens one as its a wheelie popper and i lost count how many times you two had a mechanical but rc is just the same as the real world racing things do break and at least im not the only one at the mo with cars broke down lol.
    great bash session and not heard you laugh so much chris good to hear.
    hope yourself owen and your familys are all well.

      Hey peter , Yeah more plans to bash more , Owen is just waiting on parts right now so he can get the Rival MT10 back on the road . Yeah brake downs are normal with bashing aren't they . No buddy your not on your own right now i need driveshafts for the Big rock and a Diff for the typhon now !!
      Ah man its so much fun bashing with your mates or in a group as things get so hectic and fast paced and its nice to bounce of each others personalities .
      Glad to hear you guys are well and safe ,
      Chris :)

    One thing that works for me is I put a small o ring inside each of the diff cups and drive cups. It centers the dog bones in my case. No sense if you have cvd all around. Doin it with a friend is much better. In the U.S. some guys say it's mean when a car is over powered. I hear some Brits say it's angry. I like that it's the same kinda thing I guess. A little jack Russell terrier ha funny. I didn't find crawling near as much fun as bashing. I know I need to be careful when it's hot out not to overheat. Your truck seems to grip and handle as good or a bit better than the Mt 10 on road. Ok I'm taking to much. Keep having fun over there across the pond.

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Joe , Yeah ok ill mention that to him about the Orings in the drive cups for sure.
      As for the Car is it Angry as hell lol , and its Definitely a little terrier dog snapping at your heels lol ,
      I got to be honest with you Bashing is most definitely my thing also for sure !, I LOVE how action packed a run is and the laughs it gives me .
      most definitely you do need to monitor temps in the warmer months so you dont do damage to the electrics .
      As for the Big rock yes i agree with you handles way way better on tarmac and high grip areas but having said that mine is far from stock so would be interesting to see how they compare Stock vs Stock .
      Stay safe there my Overseas brother ,
      Thanks for watching also

    An entertaining and eventful rip, Chris and Owen! What a great way to introduce and christen the MT-10. Seems like it might be the ideal intro basher Monster Truck. Gotta admit I am slightly jealous, I think I went in over my head with the Arrma 4s trucks. Oh well there is always room for one more!! Hey I was wondering with your Bigrock - does the rear sit higher than normal with those Outcast shocks on? Maybe if it does it could be causing your issues. Could you fit smaller springs or shorten them? Just a thought. Can't wait to see whats next boys! ✌🤙🤜🤛
    Edit: unlucky at the end there, Owen. Thats basically what I did to my Kraton. Live and learn, you will be back up and running in no time. I bet you can find a bash plate for the chassis if you choose to go that route.

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there buddy ,
      Sure was eventful hey !
      Yes I agree a great way to start the hobby I think the MT10 , I was very surprised to see the breakages mind , but hey if you drive it at 50mph towards a kerb it's going to get messy !.
      Ah man the 4s Outkast is a beautiful RC in my opinion and I'm trying to save enough money at present to purchase a slider of one as a good friend has just said he's got one for sale .
      As for the big rock buddy with the Outkast springs , ok to explain this is that the top of the Outkast shocks it has a shock collar and if you take it off and put , then use them without the collar there the correct length I measured them up before using them as a upgrade.
      The objective was to get a more sturdy shock for the Bigrock .
      I just generally think that the Ujoint is broken on the Bigrock driveshafts.ive ordered some more and also some parts for the Typhon to get that back and running now .
      Owen I believe has received the parts he needed to get the MT10 back on the road also so round 2 is coming in a different location.
      Let's let them rip !!!!!
      Thanks Avo mate for watching ,
      Hope that you and the family are well ,
      Stay safe

    I found that when me and my son went out with ours the mt10 and brick on the same type of cnhl 3s battery in each, the mt10 ran loads longer than the b rock and tyre very evenly matched for speed, your mate did well to break the mt10

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah was very surprised with the running time on the MT10 , it's geared very well indeed and the ESC motor combo is great .
      With my Big rock v3 mind I'm running a 4s system with 20t pinion on 3s and today only charged my packs to 85% as he was waiting for me .
      Yeah shame about the crash hey !
      As he said it's a learning curve for him though and really was quite composed about it all .
      I'm not sure I would have had the same reaction as him .

    So between the MT10 v2 and Big rock v3 which one is more less prone to breaking and less need for fixing?

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey buddy , I’ve had great success with the big rock but as I say in the video I’ve upgraded it a lot . Out of the box it was great , fast and reliable only issue I received was the diffs are not great. But if you are prepared to buy the 4s differential you’ll have no problems at all . As for the MT10 well there tanks for many , but my experience is that they break every other rc if not treated correctly. In the video you’ll see what happens when you get it wrong .
      Nothing is indestructible that’s for sure .

    If you cut approximately 2mm of nitro tubing and insert into the driveshaft insert on the side closest to the gears that will eliminate a bit of side play while still allowing for flexibility. Good luck

    The esc on the Rival is not programable, not even with a Hobbywing prog card. Some find the brakes to strong & find the truck can endo a bit to much under braking, however the brakes can be turned down with a hack. To see how to do that go to Razor RC, he shows how to hack the esc to turn the brakes down. Re those useless plastic hub caps, a lot simply remove them otherwise they come off all the time. Just a dab of threadlocker on the wheel nuts prevents the wheels coming loose.
