Note that the legendary mod comes with 20% reduction in consumable action time. So, you're losing some of that improved healing if you use it.
The lego mod reduction on the heal time is ok and can be mitigated. Each ship with heal has a total cap on hp that can be healed. It's default 50% unless specified otherwise (its 50% for Khaba). Granted it's for full-pen and non-torp-protection torpedo damage, but for DD's that's most damage anyway.
So stock 20s x 1% becomes 16s x 1% = 16% hp per heal charge on Lego Mod x 3 charges stock = 48% max, so just only 2% short.
Of course you can mitigate this anyway by India Delta 16s x 1.2% = 19.2% x 3 = 57.6% max, or with SI to get the extra charge.
In some cases, if you are often economical with your heals, SI isn't really needed (or worth it).

Tbh it's every battleship and large cruiser. Only (non-german, non-large) cruisers and DDs have to swap to AP.
A move in the right direction but it also needs the old torps and old rudder shift. They probably won't as it's an old ship and WGing generally don't bother.
I agree, they need to buff the torpedoes to 8km. And I tend to use smoke over heals but will try it again with heals. o7
Do you mean that WarGaming won't buff Khabarovsk because it's an old ship?
I would do terrible things to have 8km torps. Nothing would break if it happened, just education for those who get caught. If you get torped by a ship spotted that far away and hit by torps that short... well, you were pushing too deep and chasing something you shouldn't have.
I've always loved my rusty ole Khaba, so I'm glad to see it get a buff. I tend to sacrifice range, and take engine mod in slot 4 and the %40 rudder in slot 5. I miss the handling too much with legmod, but there's no perfect build for Khaba, just whatever "feels" best.

Been seeing Khabarovsk more and more in gold ranked. Definitely got better, but some people still get smoke khaba and some people still have trouble capping in it.

Its not enough. The rudder. When they nerfed the shift time, instead of using a hammer they dropped the sun on it.

I run double rudder and concealment in commander skill. It 13.5km range is serviceable, until you run into a German secondary BB.
They are 12.5km max so its ok..
They really need to make the rudder shift less than any cruiser XD. Feels awful.
PQ Can you make a video on the best or top 5 Research Mods / Premium Ships? Some of them look pretty dubious. Others might be a game changer for the ship. Thanks!

Personally I think that Khaba could still use some love and personally I think adding the smoke screen into a separate slot would be a good change
Khaba is one of my favorite dds, the buff is nice, but I would if preferrd they do something about the long ruddershift time, increase the torps to 10km and not to mention it has only slightly higher dpm than Shimakaze...
just increase the rudder shift and decrease reload time should help make Khaba the 'gunboat'
if they did that, they would have to massively buff delny

It has near 16km firing range, 5 sec ruddershift. Same acceleration rate as Khaba, and 10km torps.
You might be confusing Khaba with Delny. Khaba has significantly more DPM than Shimakaze.

I'll never forget an argument I had with an imbecile clanmate who swore blind that the 50mm plate was, and I quote, "a downgrade in every way because it makes every shell that hits you arm instead of overpenetrate".
It's strangely satisfying when someone says something so stupid that you'll never be able to take them seriously again.
Why not drop the ar and use mbaas and get the 5% extra dpm the whole game rather than waiting for the ar to get going?
miss my 15+km guns, 10km torps and usable rudder khaba...

Repair buff makes Khaba nothing more than a ship with more hp to be farmed. It's a dead ship since the major nerf on her rudder shift and gun range. 13 km range forces you to get close below 12 km to your targets with its turnin radius of 960 m and 11 seconds rudder shift, which means you are one of the easiest targets in all entire game. If Khaba is wanted to be a playable ship, its ruddershift and gun range have to be buffed.
Ship still sucks. I miss old khaba with the range and rudder shift. As a premium it should be a good ship but it does not compare to regular new tech tree ships. Power creep is annoying
wait isnt a kitakaze a good counter to the khaba with its high HE pen or am i mistaken?
Kaba has 50mm midsection and under the turrets, Kita/Haru even with IFHE only get 37mm pen
midsection armor is important as it does not saturate on DD's (except for French DD's)
@arczer2519 but you can aim at the top of the haul and pen. Right it'd not the entire side is 50 just a strip in the middle?
@@iamhuffman that's superstructure and it saturates pretty quickly , you end up dealing only 10% damage instead of 33%
Could you please do a video suggesting the better builds for the earlier stages of grinding. I play on ps5 and my highest ranking ship is a v huga and iv cruiser ship. What build for the earlier stages work best ?

Why does every inglish player call it khaba, 🤔 the russian pronounce is more a ha sound. Хабаровск is the name of the city. There is a distinct к in russian so it should be pronounced habarosk 😅

Well, to explain it properly would require a week-long etymology lesson, but safe to say it’s just how language has evolved over the many millennia that have passed and how different countries interpret them with the language they have evolved with
