  • This former holiday camp likely dates from the early 1970s, with the site formerly being a Zoo in the grounds of Comyn Hill Manor House. The Zoo operated from 1949-1973 & once housed Cheetahs Bears Leopards Lions and Sea Lions along with many other animals and was set in 8 acres of pleasure grounds.

Isn't that Fowlers and not Golden Coast? It's the place by the comp, isn't it? Or am I getting confused?

Golden Coast is the official title before closure www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g191252-d4186936-Reviews-Golden_Coast_Holiday_Park-Ilfracombe_Devon_England.html

@@sandpit72 Fair enough. I always assumed both sides of the road were the same holiday park, but maybe they were seperate companies? Golden Coast makes me think of the one in Woolacombe.
