Join On The Water’s Chris Megan as he travels to western New York in search of big lake-run trout and salmon in the tributary rivers that flow into Lake Ontario.
Chris is joined by Bill Sweitzer of the New York Canals Corp, Frank Campbell of Niagara Region Charter Service, and Jimmy Fee of OTW.
Under the Reimagine the Canals program, the waterways that comprise the Erie Canal are gradually drained into the Lake Ontario tributaries to keep the waters at ideal levels for the trout and salmon migration.

Love the canal water flow plan on oak orchard - gotta say though that Burt Dam seems like fish in a barrel, like fishing behind the stocking truck…
