The work Borlaug did over his working life transformed our view of agriculture, and in doing so helped shift the global mindset about what was possible within the scope of food production. His work, and this video are a powerful reminder that policies and systems which encourage innovation in farming help drive forward progress, most especially for the world's poor.
Some people have argued that Borlaug had perpetrated the greatest crime against humanity ever because he had ensured that so many more millions would be alive than otherwise when many would begin to die from starvation, climate change, etc.

Indians still thank the intervention of Dr. MS Swaminathan and Norman Borlaug that uplifted billions of lives! He indeed is a true global hero.
