This is one of the best explanation on the Maliki fiqh that I have heard. I watched several videos and still did not understand the basis.

Dear Brother if for general advice but for specific detailed aqeeda or fiqh or sufi tariqat or maarifat issue, it would save you a lot of self-damage if you are in Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia or Indonesia , to visit a Shafiee scholar in these respective country or on the Internet. @@ALI26315 I am Maliki and Hanafi and honestly you cannot be a true Faqih without scholarly knowledge of the school of Iraq. The Madrassa of Iraq is from Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib alayhi Salam. The Madini Maliki School is not as rich as the Hanafi School. If you learn Hanafi Fiqh then Maliki and find Maliki to be more correct through usul and hadith then thats fine but the Shaykh does not accept or expect people to leave the scholars of their homelands. The Subcontinent has been blessed with the most prolific Imams and Scholars and students of knowledge over the rest of the world combined. If you become an Alim of Hanafi Fiqh, especially via Dars e Nizami, any madhab will be easy for you to study and inshaAllah you will become a Mujtahid. May Allah make you all well balanced scholars whom benefit the ummah of Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa Aali wa salam

If you're in a majoriry maliki community or a multi-fiqh like Egypt , then yes. If Not , like if youre in one Pakistan or India or Bangladesh then you're advised to stay with Hanafi otherwise your ego is craving for attention ;)

@TheMercifulAndJust do you think that it is alright to become a Maliki and to pray in its way when in private but to follow the way of the Shafi'i madhhab when I'm in the Masjid for congregational prayers?

It is reported that the rasool SAW said that. Be careful. If we attribute a saying to the rasool SAW and it was not true, we are held accountable. That’s why they are called narrations.

Sheikh, I want to be on Imam Malik's madhab. Currently I am on Abu Hanifa's madhab. This is why I am learning arabic to read books & looking for sheikhs to study. But unfortunately I have never about 1 single Maliki Scholar or Teacher in my country Pakistan.

Asalamu wa alaykum wa Rahmatullahi ta ala wa Brakatahu. I'm Yahya the Co founder of Ibn AbdilBarr Academy which is our school where we introduce people to Maliki Fiqh and Athari Aqeeda and Tassawuff. While you are welcome to study with us, Shaykh Hassan would advise you to take as much ilm as you can from the ulema from pakisatan as he has many ijaza wa asaneed in Hanafi Fiqh and Hadith from their ulema. Plus it is Sunnah to take all the ilm as you can before seeking elsewhere. Wa Allahu Ta ala Alim

If you're serious about studying Maliki fiqh don't ever come to Pakistan with it and start praying like a Maliki in front of almost every person in the country from the layman to the prime Minister and president and Sheikh follow Hanafi, immigrate to the UAE or Morocco or Mauritania or Egypt.

Brother I know many Maliki students and sheikhs from Tunisia and Morocco and their like when they were in Pakistan they followed the way the righteous Muslims in Pakistan followed their "acts of worship". Unless when they were by themselves and their families or when they returned to the majority Maliki countries or multi-fiqh ones, like Egypt, and the UAE.

@TheMercifulAndJust tell me how I helped the shaytan? How about asking me if what's in your negative thoughts is what I meant by my statement rather than your assumption which could lead to affecting YOUR AFTERLIFE by making accusations out of ignorance.
I told him to find HANAFI ULEMA IN HIS REGION AND USE ALL THE REAOUTHERE BEFORE SEEKING ELSEWHERE. THIS IS THE SUNNAH.
If you don't understand English so good then don't be ashamed to ask people what they mean.

Its fair play for Muslims to consciously choose to abide by the true Hanbali creed not the anthropromorphic strand claiming to be the creed of Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal 164-241.
A Muslim should remain vigilant and steer clear of anthropomorphicism and the uncorroborrated broken-linked claims of the anthropomorphicists falsely identifying to the founders of the Sunni mathhabs or those on the opposite side , the Jahmi's and Mu'tazilla.
Imam Malik abided by the Tafweed position which is one of the two concurrent run positions among the Righteous Predecessors. Mujahideen and flagship Imams backed each one of these positions with solid proofs following the methodologies of the Senior Scholars of the Tabieen who followed the Scholars among Sahaba who followed the Prophet Muhammad 3lyhisSalaatwasSalaam transmitting and educating their generation of their ways. Imam Abu Hanifa AbuYusuf Mohammed bin AlHasan AlSheibani Hanafi Abdulla Ibn Kullab AlBasri Shafiee
A Muslim may also choose along with either the Tafweedis Hanbali position or choose the Taweel Mufassal position Ashaari or Maturidi or both , as they all are part of Sunni Islam and to choose the Fiqh mathhab that is prevalent in their country or hometown, unless their hometown or country has accessibility to all four schools , like Egypt.
