Beautiful rendition, Reba. Rest Easy, Dave Loggins! 🙏🙏🙏 I never realized how pretty Reba was back then. For some reason she didn’t appeal to me back then but I love her and appreciate her so much these days because she is real country music unlike those coattailer’s these days. If anyon knows what I mean by my last sentence please let me alone!
Yes she's so good I really like Dave loggins original. I've listened to David Allen coe version it is absolutely the worst I have ever heard. He just destroys it
Awesome job Reba!! You can sing anything and is beautifully done! Your the best!!! I love you! Your my hero, and i know you are to alot of people! ❤❤❤❤
I still got your personal autograph on an index card when you did a concert at the Oil Palace in Tyler, Texas in the mid 1980's. You looked at me right in the eyes and smiled while sitting down at the table taking autographs. I was working up there as a roadie at the time.
Rebas Starting Over album was all about singing songs that meant a lot to Reba, songs that she loved from other artists. The songs she chose were ones that had an impact on her as an artist. Obviously Reba feels as you do, that David Loggins was a great artist with a great song.
I do. Heard Dave's version long ago & could still breathe. Can't catch my breath w/Kenny's... Always understood what the woman was saying & Reba nails it. A duet?
@cuongoff I love both versions. I do wish Reba would re-record some of her older songs because her voice has changed so much as she has matured. I love the young voice but am also with you on being partial to the deeper tone Reba has now. As one reviewer said, Reba has gone from cowgirl howl to full on momma growl LOL.
freakin A right it does...I just recently found out that Reba covered this, and I really like her voice on it a lot! I prefer this version than the one she sang on the AMA's also.
Ditto, I like both versions (the one from the AMA's and this one) but there is something about her voice on this one that I like just slightly more than the other.
@fundyqueen So glad you put "In your opinion" as we all are entitled to one. IMHO this song is perfect for Rebas range, you do realize Reba has quite a wide vocal range, and as she is the best interpreter of a song out there it is also in her "feeling". You prefer this song done by a man end of.
I did a lot in those days I love music that hasen't changed..... I sing with a group now.... they all just looked at me lol you can't be..... hmmmm ya never know
