    Thanks so much for this information! I live in the Pacific North West USA and I have a house that faces Northerly! Sigh. I love house plants and fresh herbs, hopefully with your help I can start an indoor "garden".

    Great video. Lots of good information about grow lights and how to start little plants too. 😊

    You’d mentioned Sansi grow lights in a recent video as an upgrade to these… I’m wanting to get some but have no idea which Sansi bulbs to choose 😳 so confusing! Any chance you could do a video on the ones you got and why?

    I use daylight led 100 watt equivalent in various lamps for my plants. 5000k
    Works well during the winter months.

    I put silver bubble wrap insulation underneath my plants on my grow trolley so the light from my grow lights bounces back to the underside of my plants

    Tell us about yourself. What is your line of work? Do you work from home and therefor enjoy your plants all day everyday? What got you interested in plants initially?

      These questions would be perfect for a get to know me. Maybe I'll do a live stream at some point. But I'm a full time finance employee and look after plants as a hobby

      Brilliant, thanks for that. I'm using a garpsen led with a tripod. It's got the 4 long goose neck lights but yours seem to give off a slight pinkish colour in the video. I'm not sure if that's noticeable for you at home but mine doesn't.

      @@SheffieldMadePlants must have been the angle of the camera. I used to keep tree frogs in a tall terrarium with live plants in it. I had to use clay balls for the base, substrate on top and a mix of critters like springtails and isopods who acted as a clean up crew. I think I used an umbrella plant and a bromeliad in it along with dead branches for frogs to climb on. On top I used a full spectrum bulb. It's worth taking a look at websites tailored toward bioactive terrariums. It's quite an interesting hobby, you don't need to add animals. You could just have a living eco system just for plants and it can be as small as 45x45x45cm

    The grow light link doesn't work. Could you please update it? Also is there any chance you'd make a Dracaena video? One thing I wasnt sure of was if I could separate the stems? There are 4 but all rooted together (if that makes sense). New to your channel and so far enjoying it. Thanks for the content!

    • @SheffieldMadePlants
      @SheffieldMadePlants  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So is there 4 plants in the pot?

    • @gfamily1943
      @gfamily1943 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SheffieldMadePlants I'm new to house plants and a pro at aquatic plants. Example would be with a cryptocoryne species you see the giant nodes and then roots... if the nodes are not one piece you can (as gently as possible) separate them to create separate plants, but they all came from one plant. So with my Dracaena it has 4 stems, 2 sets of 2. But the individual 2's are bound tight with roots interwoven. So I can't gently pull them but if I cut between the stems would that be safe? Wish I could send you a photo 😅
      I have the Dracaena Marginata variant and for being my first house plant I'm super proud of myself with how its going 🥰

      @@gfamily1943 Same thing will apply to your Dracaena. I think you can go ahead and prise them apart
