@@nerdoutreachprogram5358 I remember back when I played carno in update 4, I never was that good, but for as long as I played carno on spiro up until update 6, I was always nervous even as a full adult when I saw just 2-3 raptors because I knew their bleed was scary and that my inexperience would only aid them in killing me 🤣 plus inexperience = panic aswell so it was a rough but fun time
my personal experience as a raptor main, i think we've become less common because of just how squishy we are, essentially being killed in 4-5 bites, while it takes us significantly longer to take down a bigger dino, even with a pack. that along with how gimmicky pounce can be. my biggest issue is releasing from pounce and i get thrown in a random direction that ends up getting me killed, its quite frustrating
Yeah, like I really feel like pounce could be incredibly cool. And it is, when it works. But now with bucking being RNG based, it's almost not even worth the stamina to try. Better to just fight with bites and risk dying to latency hits(or just bad timing, I'm good at dying to my bad timing)
@@dinomettatiming is the annoying part imo lol I hope they fix latency and make the hitboxes less nitpicky to hit sometime down the road. You have to click early at the right time to have some creatures’ bite hitboxes hit. Like omni and cerato. They only hit at like the last nanosecond of the animation lol. That used to not be the case from what I’ve seen in older update 4 videos.
I think a big part is the squishiness paired with the rubberbanding ghost hits. Died so often to absolute ridiculous hits (5m away still hits me somehow) that I stopped playing omni altogether.
@@Kampfcookie100 this. It’s not just omni either. Everything hitbox wise is just wack right now. Hopefully we get to a point soon where they can fix the latency. Also tail tip hits should do a lot less damage to be honest. A stego with its tail attack hitting your tail tip as a cera takes away a quarter if not more of your health (you’re on yellow hp, I can confirm even when realistically being hit on the tail with no bleed, if I’m full hp I’m brought to yellow hp).
@@xxMrbojanqlezxx same lol luckily I don’t usually audibly make any noise though… but I do flinch suprisingly easy even during a fight that I’ve been in for a couple minutes already sometimes 🤣
@@dtbrex08 Usually i go "OH SH!T" or "YOU MF" and start laughing at how bad the other dino makes me flinch the mouse. Trex on legacy sometimes made me do that especially since I played allo most of the time.
27:10 This is exactly why I don't want to even touch herbivores as a carnivore anymore. You two have been fighting this Teno for over an hour, an adult Cerato shows up and does damage but STILL DIES. I even said out loud "That's F**king ridiculous!". I definitely want herbies to have a good fight in them but the fact they can consistently 1vEveryDamnCarnivoreonthemap makes it just feel bad. I think they need a health nerf or a damage nerf. It makes no sense that they can kill basically anything with 6 shots max while being able to take an hours worth of damage. Rant over. Great video, as always.
i think omnis dual pounce was made literally to stop people like this who spam bite on omni, im not saying its wrong but bleeding people out was intended for pouncing.
Here is the biggest issue: Bucking can throw you off in 1 second ( RNG) Dismount(Spacebar) works after 2 seconds. Meaning a chance exists for you to simply fall off before u can do LMB or RMB pounce or even jump of directly. (And die because of it, think landing middle of a stego hitbox and its swinging you) This in turns brings a fear with it due to how bucking is set up that you dont wanna pounce long, meaning: you don't actually deal any bleed damage, we did some testing and 1 omni could not even take 10% from a fg Stego with its full stamina bar, and we all know you won't even get to pounce it for 3 seconds, due to how weight affects how fast you get bucked. So all in all, a deadly cocktail to waste 1 hour and 20 min in Survival and feeling you have been done dirty. Can you still play and succeed? sure i was able to kill stuff bites only. and ofcourse the pin mechanic is very powerful.
Yup. I think RNG based pounce was a mistake. At least before, we could decide whether a pounce was worth risking because we had x amount of stamina. Now it's deciding whether we simply want to die instantly because we can't dismount before being bucked off and clobbered. If they're going to force dismount, raptors should be forced into the dismount animation and thrown further away as long as they still have stamina to technically do so.
Bucking throwing you off in one second is insane, I know pounce can be overpowered and has been overpowered before but this is way too excessive. I think it can be fixed pretty easily though, just increase the minimum amount of time you have by a second or two (instead of 1 second give raptors at least 3 seconds to dismount) before getting bucked off and make dismount instant so you have enough time to see your target bucking and dismount, maybe be able to pick the direction you want to jump off to if you are fast enough. Dying just because the game happened to decide you do is never fair.
@@Mxlch999 I used to think the same back in update 4. Make sure they’ve already pounced you maybe, then press and hold e? If you see your creature do a little struggle animation it should be working. Hope that helps.
I genuinely have a soft spot in my heart for raptor players, I never had the patience nor skill to learn how to play them. I'm a herbi main and I love the genuine fear a raptor pack can put in us, skilled players or not. That teno made me sad though, if you're so desperate for a fight then at least be a good sport. Using terrain is for when you don't want a fight but one came to you, at least in my opinion.
The most lethal dino is the Bugssauro. The stress from dying to bugs is all the fun you money will buy. Get ready do be tricked by the graphs. Remember: 10 years under development!
keep in mind this is an early beta version of the game so dont judge the team too hard they are doing the best they can and think about it a beta version of the game is better then the actual wich is pretty suprising i think they did a really good job with evrima even tho there is some bugs
@@Hamstersaurusrex oh of course. I have nothing against the devs at all. I have a lot of respect for what they're doing. It does still suck to deal with the bugs though
@@Hamstersaurusrex I judge the devs-- and by this I mean head developer (Dondi) and others for creating just the worst possible environment on their Discord and other unsavory deeds. They're not good people to be around. And I had been around The Isle since day one, yet I can't even be in the Discord server because I was instantly banned for... saying something as silly as, "human thicc" because they sent a NUDE human model in development channel. But I've seen people be incredibly uncivil to each other and toxicity every single day within the general chat. With that being said, The Isle out of the trio is the most tolerable game to me. Just sucks it has to be ran by manchildren.
I love playing as a raptor but to really do it well you need a group of people who also understand the strategy of playing a raptor. That is sooooo hard to find! Just yesterday I was in a group of 6. Spent the time to get to full grown, helped our little ones get perfect diets, all well grown. We found a Cera. All alone. Did we take turns giving it some bleed and then just hounding it until it bled out? No. We watched as one face tanked it over and over while another of us jumped around to "distract it." Instantly taking two of our pack out of the equation. Waited for them to heal and rest to go again, they repeated their actions. The commotion attracted two Dilos. 6 omnis vs 2 dilos after the Cera ran away? Should be a win. Nope. One of ours pounced another of our pack and never let go, just killed them, while getting munched by a dilo themselves. A 3rd omni just straight up left and ran away, while the 4th also pounced our other friend and killed them while also dying to a dilo. If this is what's available as teammates, I'll just stick to my life as a salt water drinking bird that likes to yell at deinos. 😅
This. I ran into a pack myself the other day. 9 of us in total. Could have taken on the world if they were coordinated. They chose.... A herd of 4 tenos and 3-5 stegos. I sat up on a mountain side and watched them run around in circles until a cerato showed up and started mixpacking... With the tenos. Once the herd left, I tried to help with the cerato, but a second showed up and by then half the pack was already injured or dead. I got puked on pounce, even though I latched perfectly(gotta love latency) and that was me deciding I wouldn't touch another cerato unless it was single-omni pinnable
I tell my friends i play a dinosaur game and they immediately want to play raptor. So id say through pop culture, predominantly jurassic park movies, is why most people want to play raptor.
Herbi players using the environment: "OMG SKILL ISSUE THEY ARE JUST SCARED WAH WAH WAH" Carni players using the environment: "Oh no it's just using the environment to our advantage and requires a lot of tactful planning and skill to do." I see a pattern here. lol
My only issue is this guy wanted the fight. Aggressively wanted it to the point of chasing me to almost 0 stamina the first time I tried to back out. And then when I crossed to leave after an hour of fighting with no progress, he came chasing after me again. It's one thing to use the environment in a fight where you've been attacked and are trying to survive in hopes of either killing them or them deciding the fight isn't worth it. It's another when you won't let the predators walk away without being aggressively chased. Could we have simply kept running? Absolutely. But if you are desperate for some action, camping for the vast majority of the fight only makes it miserable for everyone
@@dinometta ya right out wanting a fight even agressivly so. must have been on a high ass horse atm. then tail was ducked the other raptors showed up. so far my best fun was with critter were i can kind of ignore people existing. as thoes areas dont seam to suffer a lot compared to the odd mixbag of pvp side of things.
Never played this game but in PvP in general, there's a pretty big difference in using terrain and los strategically, and camping one spot because you're an asshole and bad sport.
We had an infamous Teno main in an old realism server I would play in who was famous for engaging in *extremely* long Raptor battles, sometimes involving up to 8 raptors. We also had some dedicated packs that'd always spawn in together, so these were no PUG raptors either. Wouldn't be shocked if it was him
I haven't seen the video yet but I'm pretty sure is bc ceras are extremely OP now, Herbie's makes extremely big packs and pounce is the worst thing in the world rn cuz is bug asf, that's what I feel, I'm not particularly a raptor player but I like it and now kill a single cera with a pack of raptors is actually quite a tough task, and for a half a ton of dinos making pack doesn't make much sense to me the fact that cost so much to hunt decent preys for a pack, cuz a herrara surely wouldn't fill a pack of raptors and 2 ceras can beat a pack of 10 raptors no joke
I got recommended this after getting pounced by my own pack while i'm latched to a bigger dino 3 times in less than 1 hour. Outside of the stupidity of other raptor players my main issue is getting vomit sickness in 1 click from a Cerato and getting thrown off while latched in 1 millisecond while the other player holds E and gives them a free hit. For those reasons, i'm out.
I feel you here. There's a reason I very seldom play in a pack with random raptors. I'd much rather go duo with Acro or in a small coordinated pack with other skilled raptors in VC. Much less likely to have friendly fire pounces. Either way, being able to move slots and such doesn't really matter when you get bucked off in 1 second before you can even react to hit dismount
Feel like either the raptors bleed or health get slight buff and/or Tano get a debuff... Or possibly have it to where if say 2-3 or more raptors pounce on a tano it should pin it down at least. And to add on so that mud can be an advantage for carnivs as well be it that any creature pounced in mud will take a slight stun duration and if pinned then the prey will take slightly longer to get up because well its mud. That way mud can ve a double edge sword for both sides.
@@mustard9808 Yeah, unfortunately that's something that happens often when playing raptor alone. Their damage output just isn't high enough to finish a fight if it drags on too long
I remember the isle evrima 2021... just omnis vs carnos 24/7... making super packs just ot fight to death like a medieval battle, corpses everywhere, only one side won or retreated with 5 survivors from a 15-20 sized packs.. yes ive been to dinosaur vietnam.😅
@@dinometta that's how I honestly picture the isle, survival, big hunts, battles... not hackers and unbalanced cerato pimp making you vomit your stego with a one bite lmao.
Is saying the Omnis’ are the equivalent of a mix of a honey badger, rabbies infested chihuahuas, and that one crack head down my street? Great video as always Mettaton.
Bucking is wack Dibbles Exist and their hitboxes. Cera packs being their only counter Cera can 1 bite vomit even Dilos + Cera Infestation Carno being a Truck Lag & Fatal Errors I can't really put my finger on it....Why Omnis have nearly gone extinct
Yuuuuup it's so frustrating. Made worse by latency on pounce. Ceras can be pinned by two omnis, but if the server decides you got hit by an alt attack after already latching to the cerato, you immediately fall off and vomit now. So they're just simply not even worth trying to fight
@@dinometta fair point but latency can also help omnis in some cases. You can be hitting them and it won’t register, they also tp on you with their pounce which can be very frustrating to deal with
For god sake, an hour long, nothing burger brawl. They need to add some anti-heel to bleed or some thing to stop the thing from just healing constantly.
Yup. Would have been over quickly without mud camping. Either the raptors would have died or he would have. And the odds were in his favor. Instead we got to have 5 second bouts of fighting followed by 5 minutes of standing or sitting until I was the only raptor left and the cerato showed up. And honestly if it hadn't, I would have either starved to death or died to the teno(the most likely option after all those pounces and my low stamina)
I used to play omni a lot. Not so much anymore. It’s mostly due to a mixture of latency, weird hitboxes and the bucking being able to knock you off of a pounce too quickly. If I am like 10 meters to the side of a dibble, I should not be getting hit by attacks that aren’t even facing me
@ElComposta Nah, they just make Herb tanky to encourage players to play them. However, the developers mess up by making adult Herb too powerful for most standard Carno group. I had one game where 8 of us Omis repeatedly pounced on an adult Stego over 30 minutes. The stego survived long enough to be rescue by two other adult stagos. Instead, we were force to hunt other carnos because we could actually kill them easier.
@@Normacly stego could have good diet with 15% bleed resistant mutation aswell as possibly bad Omni players, and yeah of course a carno pair will be easier to kill than a stego depending on what update this happened
Really glad the YT algo threw your channel on my recommended, loving your play and video style! Hoping to begin doing very similar videos like yours, minus a lot of skill... LOL - Hope to run into you one day in the plains!
The damage model looks wrong honestly. 2 raptors hanging on your back and rending your back and sides with their mega claws and its fine, but a herrera jumps from a tree and you are dead.
I do somewhat like the state that cera is in - as a solo dinosuar Bring a potential pack to the table and you better start runnin. They've changed it to effectively fill the apex slot and forgot that you can group to 4 total. 4 ceratos will munch anything not a stego/deino without much issue. It's not impossible to 1v1 ceratos, infact as a tenno, if you can aim, it's not that bad at all. You'll be injured, but you'll win. Raptor as a whole just feels underwhelming. They dont do enough bleed IMO. The pounce should be more rewarding.
If cerato is going to remain this strong, pack numbers should be reduced to 2-3 like carno. 4 is just too much. 1v1 cera v teno sucks for the teno, but definitely is doable. Any now than that though and you need to get out asap
@@dinomettaI'd say it is more then doable honestly I've killed 4 ceras as a teno with a friend of mine who was injured from an ongoing fight with a pack of omnis we still died to omnis after defeating ceras but took down a few of them before we were killed eventually. I should add tho that the ceras were not quite intelligent with their attacks they kept running into our kick and tail slams
@@robboss204 oh yeah, it's doable if the ceratos are not very tactical! They die quickly if they keep getting flattened and kicked. But a smart cerato group is pretty well unstoppable
I’m no Isle player (considering it tho despite only having an iMac) and even I could tell you seemed to be getting bucked off unreasonably fast by the teno compared to the two carnivores (can’t remember name) you fought with Acro. You were on his back for ages! :D Out of all your videos, playing Deino seems most appealing so far, even tho I love raptors. Also, Acro’s raptor skin is beautiful!
Carnos at the end were just trying to comprehend the back magic. But at the same time, one of the straight forward fights in the video. Ironically enough as malarkey seemed to have happened with each other fight.
Personally, I play raptor because its relatively short grow timer, I have a full time job and dont have hours upon hours to grow a tank up, just to die a minute after..(literally happened after I fully grew a croc, as soon as i was an adult i got ganged up on from my croc group ); )
Lol I searched for tacos too. Not shown is me scouring West rail beach, wandering Highlands and digging up 4-5 empty burrows, etc. they just didn't want to exist outside of the one I found while fighting the dibble x]
I stopped playing raptor because of the weird cannibal raptor groups that hunt me down mercilessly. Sometimes they lure me in as if they are friendly and then just pin me as 6 of them just rip me apart.
They're definitely more scarce. I know where people tend to be and even then I hardly find any raptors that aren't either doing nothing just living on AI, or mixpacking
personally the biggest issue is the ping on the official servers with ppl hitting bs shots and u not being able to hit any, that and sideways dibbles with hitboxes 2x their size, its infuriating to die to a way you yourself couldn't predict because the game said so
I feel like we have probably been in a raptor squad together more then once lol. Im pasta the green raptor haha. Love your videos though keep it up! One day raptor will he good again i just know it
Raptors are meant to be pack hunters, so it's no wonder playing solo is difficult. But that tenonto was crazy. Surviving a pack of raptors AND a cera? I get why teno is as strong as it is now, but once more dinosaurs get added, it needs a bit of a nerf. Not too much but certainly a little bit.
Cool musics used ! Because it is only fights but most are not with hardcore music, it differenciates the gameplay moments. Liked it ! The violin was going on for a while, kinda tiresome. And the Indian theme musics were great ! Thanks have a nice day, from France
The Omni's evasiveness is simply an unreliable way to avoid death when attacking another dino. Your pounces are not exactly easy to land, and bucking can get you dead within seconds (even if you're actively trying to disengage immediately). If omnis were less squishy it would make up for this to some extent, but thats not really the intended play style. Realistically omnis need a stickier pounce, a more control over when they can dismount, and perhaps a smaller hit box (but idk). Also, I honestly don't know how good their bleed or damage is while latched on because Ive never been able to kill anything of a decent size before they get a hit on me. So its also possible they could use a buff to their right click/left click actions while latched on (but I have no idea).
I definitely think that rend and bite pounce need a buff. It's pretty nasty against things like carnos that have almost no blood in their body. But teno blood pool has been buffed to the point that I actively avoid trying to bleed them and go for damage pounce instead. And even then, you see where that got us in the end. Add in RNG based pounce and it just doesn't feel worth pouncing
@@dinometta 100% agree on the rng pounce, and ill have to take your word on the rend and bite. I just haven't pounced a carno for a while.. but i can definitely attest to tenos seeming to have a massive blood pool.
Awesome video!!! Maybe the first time i've ever seen the cannibalism mutation used "as intended". You still have excellent decision making. Hot take: the teno didn't want a fight, it wanted easy kills. Dilo is quite a bit easier to kill than omni. That jump saves the creature so often. Acronym!!!! Always coming in like a hero wearing a cape 🎉
You're not wrong. He just wanted to kill stuff, but didn't want to do so if it meant a risk. That dang hunt dragged on for so long. I trimmed it down to 5 minutes, but we put so much rend and then bite pounce in him. Alongside bites. I don't know how he stayed on his feet through all of that and then the cerato too. Aside from healing in the mud and on the rock that is.
My biggest issue is connectivity. Raptors suffer the most from lags and desync. Oh you thought you pounced me? Nah think again in reality the server thinks you got impaled by my stagomizers. So now, on your screen, you get teleported from pounce position on my side to limp ragdoll on my tail. For an animal that is supposed to hunt above its own weightclass, this is absolutely unforgivable. Because the animals that don´t outright oneshot you, can throw you to the ground with their attacks or at the very least injure you so severely that you are out of the fight anyways. And its not like this is a new thing. This was a problem for omnis from day 1. Sure a lot of hunts might go well. But rolling a die everytime I pounce to see if I just die because the server thinks its time does not feel good. Troodon suffers from this too, but since that grows way faster I don´t nearly care as much.
1:01 *whaaaaaaa????* I hope they fix this soon. I hoped their bile output=weight based would balance out how much ceras have to bite certain things, like raptors being a couple bites, carnos being several and stegos being a lot. But now I think it’s still buggy and probably wasn’t intended to work how it does now. I hope they fix it. Honestly carnos and tenos should take the same amount they did before, but raptors and dilos should take 2 bites at full stomach to vomit, and a stego or deino (if they could vomit) like 10-15. And also bring back the slide and/or cooldown to the charge bite. And please fix the weird attack jittering that happens when you spam click an attack, I hate my attack half playing and then stopping resulting in less dps because I took more time to actually activate my attack.
It seems like all mains have become less common. The only thing I see these days are ceratos, diablos, and stegos. I miss the days where you had multiple large groups of raptors on the hunt. carnos were the scariest thing you could encounter. groups of pachys out and about. tenontos. as a dilo player I barely even find other dilos now and the last two times I did, they were mixpacking with ceratos and trying to kill me. I miss hearing the sounds of groups of troodons. oddly enough, the more dinos they have added, the less diverse things have become. Its probably been a year now since ive encountered a hypsi or dryo. having dryo on dilo's list of preferred food is a complete waste of space.
@@seniority-exe Yeah, the mess that is balance right now just leaves only the most op creatures wandering the map. I haven't had a good fight against a full pack of raptors in a hot minute. Just masses of ceratos, and those fights are over quickly(and are loud, goodness I despise the charge bite)
Yeahh raptor is tough. It does well against carnos now though, as shown by the end of this vid lol. Anytime I play carno bleed resist is my first mutation, raptors and dilos are a pain while you're trying to grow lol.
Love the videos! A bit self indulgent but id love to see a video of you play a hypsi i think their just so cute and the only real reason im thinking of buying the isle lol

I liked the player on Teno, he, like Metta, simply understood what he was doing. Let's not go to extremes, even if someone had won this fight, it would not cancel out how beautifully it was played. And forgive me, but I don't understand what's wrong with cover. Even in tactical games such as TW, for example, there are strategic objects on the maps, the use of which is part of the gameplay. Is it true that there are fewer of them(omni)? It seems to me that they are still screaming aggressively from all sides😅 I hope my opinion won't offend anyone. And as always, a wonderful video, Metta
There's definitely fewer overall, depending on the server anyway! I ran into about 15 just the other day on galli, but they were hunting a stego and died very quickly. In general though, I haven't been able to find more than a scattering of raptors here and there lately
I play omni cause it's fast, nimble, and can attack without fear of being hit when it pounces... or at least that's how it was. Now its stamina is just awful. The pounces are bugged, and even when they work, u just get thrown at ur enemies' feet. AND since you have no control of pounces, you can't rely on that to help your fragile body from being shredded. :( im thinking of picking a different main, but almost all my game time has been on omni. Maybe I'll main pterra.
Yeah, pounce is pretty much the definition of "just take a knee now" Between getting bucked off instantly and getting hit on pounce, it's just not worth using in most cases
Hey i think with the new pounce youre supposed to hit LMB or RMB while you're pouncing to do either bleed or damage ( cant remember which is which ), otjerwise the pounce doesnt do much! Were you doing that? If not that ma be why the teno lived
Raptor was my main before, I still play it sometimes, just feels a bit too frustrating these days. My biggest issue was the stamina draining so fast that pouncing was never worth it and you wouldn't survive a full fight if you had to keep running, unless you had reliable pack members to help stretch it out the whole fight. I still really like the playstyle though. I love being small and fast and agile. On another note, could you share your graphics settings? I always find it so difficult to keep track of players in dense forests or even just in tall grass. Makes it near impossible to hit anyone cause they just blend together with everything else while im moving my cam (and thats with motion blur off). Your vids seem a bit more clear though.
I'm running everything on epic except shadow smoothing. But I also have dlss set on balanced(when it works and doesn't make my screen freak out, love the isle sometimes)
@@Egobyte83 that's a new thing with scent while using night vision. That way you're not moving completely blind
Hey Metta you can still eat Dilos organs and get nutrients as a raptor. I eat organs from every kinda corpse when playing as Ptera, but it applies to any dinosaur as long as you’re not cannibalizing when you shouldn’t be. I should say, organs always provide nutrients as long as they’re not rotted or from a member of your own species when your own species is not in your diet.
Im pretty sure she knows that, don’t worry, I just don’t think she wanted to waste time doing it though because they would be too small to fill her diets at the time.
Yeah, I know. The dilo was just fresh spawn size so his organs wouldn't have given me more than a couple % worth of diets. If he'd still been on my diet generally though, those plus his corpse would have been enough
The hunt against the Carnos was an awesome example of how Omni should play. Even a pack of two is a terrifying thing when played right. Solos should always look for a pack or stick to hunting juvis and subs. Pounce used to be broken. It's still powerful when in a pack. A teno should be able to buck a raptor off instantly. That (sub?) teno did the right thing camping vs three adult raptors. Even if full adult it was outmatched.
He was a full grown teno, otherwise he wouldn't have been yelling for a fight and he wouldn't have stayed standing with two raptors pouncing him. The biggest issue I had with that teno was how aggressive he was if we tried to walk away, but then how quick he was to immediately go back to camping the second he took damage. Even near the end when my packmate was away trying to get food, I got a little bit of damage on him solo and back up the rock he went. At that point, either let the predators walk away or get down and fight.

A stego with its tail attack hitting your tail tip as a cera takes away a quarter if not more of your health (you’re on yellow hp, I can confirm even when realistically being hit on the tail with no bleed, if I’m full hp I’m brought to yellow hp).

i think omnis dual pounce was made literally to stop people like this who spam bite on omni, im not saying its wrong but bleeding people out was intended for pouncing.

@@aroseydragon2873 Thank you, I enjoy sharing my stories!
Here is the biggest issue:
Bucking can throw you off in 1 second ( RNG)
Dismount(Spacebar) works after 2 seconds.
Meaning a chance exists for you to simply fall off before u can do LMB or RMB pounce or even jump of directly.
(And die because of it, think landing middle of a stego hitbox and its swinging you)
This in turns brings a fear with it due to how bucking is set up that you dont wanna pounce long, meaning: you don't actually deal any bleed damage, we did some testing and 1 omni could not even take 10% from a fg Stego with its full stamina bar, and we all know you won't even get to pounce it for 3 seconds, due to how weight affects how fast you get bucked.
@@dinometta i agree
Bucking throwing you off in one second is insane, I know pounce can be overpowered and has been overpowered before but this is way too excessive. I think it can be fixed pretty easily though, just increase the minimum amount of time you have by a second or two (instead of 1 second give raptors at least 3 seconds to dismount) before getting bucked off and make dismount instant so you have enough time to see your target bucking and dismount, maybe be able to pick the direction you want to jump off to if you are fast enough. Dying just because the game happened to decide you do is never fair.
Everytime i use "E" i dont even buck ???!

A carno and a raptor mix packing nearly killed me for bleeding if I hadn’t gotten lucky enough for other ceratos to find and save me.
hearing the pure joy in laughter from you both was so lovely honestly after all that suffering!
I agree. That's how it has been every time I introduce my friends to the game too
Personally would want to try an anky or anos as another commenter called them.
Herbi players using the environment: "OMG SKILL ISSUE THEY ARE JUST SCARED WAH WAH WAH"
Carni players using the environment: "Oh no it's just using the environment to our advantage and requires a lot of tactful planning and skill to do."
I see a pattern here.

You're exactly correct. Cerato is my biggest issue right now. But RNG bucking screwing with my ability to pounce is also the absolute worst
@@dinomettathey should’ve made it take a certain amount of time to buck off or something, not just rng
@@dinomettaTrue, only used that mechanic the first day to test it and never again

And to add on so that mud can be an advantage for carnivs as well be it that any creature pounced in mud will take a slight stun duration and if pinned then the prey will take slightly longer to get up because well its mud. That way mud can ve a double edge sword for both sides.

Great video!
Thank you!
The dinos that rely on movement skills to win hunts get hit hardest by the lag. So annoying
This. Goodness it is so frustrating to take those unfair hits when you're already one of the more fragile animals!
1:01 *whaaaaaaa????*
I hope they fix this soon.
Yeah, cerato is just too much right now. Absolutely heinous to fight against. It needs a chill pill forcefully shoved down its throat
Teno was a beast, just kicking ass and taking names. Good job!
That teno was something else haha
Yeahh raptor is tough. It does well against carnos now though, as shown by the end of this vid lol. Anytime I play carno bleed resist is my first mutation, raptors and dilos are a pain while you're trying to grow lol.
Yup, I can solo a really bad carno. Average ones are still too much for me solo though 😂
Raptor rodeo fight to the death - happy country music intensifies ^^
@@tomhoni9642 haha absolutely xD
Raptor needs a buff. Should be a glass canon
It certainly needs something. It feels downright frustrating to play lately
Love the videos! A bit self indulgent but id love to see a video of you play a hypsi i think their just so cute and the only real reason im thinking of buying the isle lol
I need to get around to playing the smaller tiers more soon. Especially now that hypsi has growth
loved hearing your budgie
They're Acro's little budgies!
@@dinometta I lost my budgie a few years ago so it struck a nice chord hearing it
@@ashleybreuer7569 aw, my condolences for your loss!
And thank you, get as much practice in as you can and you'll improve in no time!
Yooo I love the videos man. I want to get this game but i only have one question. Can u only have one dino at a time? Or Can u have multiple dinos adult at the same time?
Mam*
Raptor needs a tiny buff tbh
A tiny bit more bleed with rend, or less chance of being bucked off instantly please
@@dinometta omg this- Raptor is already so squishy as it is so if anything making its dps worth the risk for hunting others, it immediately becomes that "high risk, high reward" type of dino. Imo all of the clips of badass raptor players just killings stuff with cool and calculated moves sends shivers down my spine... ❤️🔥
Yes a new video let’s gooooooo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yeeeee
@@dinometta yeeeeeeeeee
It's so frustrating at the moment
Hey i think with the new pounce youre supposed to hit LMB or RMB while you're pouncing to do either bleed or damage ( cant remember which is which ), otjerwise the pounce doesnt do much! Were you doing that? If not that ma be why the teno lived
@@ashleyharan6618 correct, and yes. We started out doing the rend for bleed, but then switched to doing the damage based bite
*HOW did youtube not notify me of the existence of this video yet?*
Ahh, dont we all? And thanks!
What was that shockwave looking thing at 1:00? :O I have never seen that before.
@@Egobyte83 that's a new thing with scent while using night vision. It pulses outward and shows the outlines of things around you in the dark, so if you're somewhere that's extra low light(say inside a cave or a human structure with the lights off), the pulse will show you the walls and nearby objects within range for a moment. That way you're not moving completely blind
@@dinometta ooh, neato! ^^
Also I swear Acronym is basically like the most reliable pack mate one can ever have in this game no matter what you are playing.
He seriously is. Couldn't ask for better backup in pretty much any situation
@@dinometta I hear ya. These tenos are a menace but usually cuz their baiting you into an ambush of tails.
@@gmartinez1981 ya and i at first though packy was blood hungry but after my recent dilo experance i just think 90% of the herbi players have spend 20 hours to many as carnovores and will ruthlessly hunt down a preditor. recent fatality was a dibble flatting a dilo of mine and i did try to just make a run for it but forgot i had a cliff by me and then i got knocked over and insta killed. with out fail, as that same life i had delt with a teno being REALLY agressive and chasing a dilo i hd joined. rando but we both got a sad stick and ended up around dam lake then moved to highland to connect up with a friend i was planning to coop with. we arived and had a AGRESSIVE AS HELL teno. just rush us down. got a good bleed on the rando before meeting the friend. like HOLY HELLS are thoes teno bloody mad ridden. like mother of oden did they have a fire of pure hate in em. god if only he attacked at night. things would have been FUN because the venom i just gained would have been nice on em. (so far my most fun is just passive carnovores or the omnivores like beipi, if theres food god does some beipi spawns suck atm)
Metta can you share ur setting for the isle please
I run everything on epic except for shadow smoothing
Would have been funny if those Pachys were actually just there to body break the Diablo.
I wish! But nah, I ran off and a color of ceratos showed up and finished the dibble. The pachys later died by Highlands lake
I can't believe the state of this game. Im itching to play, but everything is just so off balancing wise. Sometimes, I feel the 10 dollars i paid far too long ago was not worth it. 😅 How long can a game stay in early access 😂
I've gotten plenty of enjoyment out of my $20 I spent on the game. But the balance is pretty messy right now, I agree
@dinometta In all honestly, I have too, but it is 1 step forward 2 steps back deal. Can't say I hate a game with more than 500 hours on, I'm just mighty disappointed.
0:14 Mostly solo huh..? 😅
I’ll forget pretty much all of our duo raptor sessions over the past year then too T-T
@@acronym6837 come now, I only mean recently because schedules dictate it 😔
