As my hair grows I started to notice it take just as long as if I was natural except I had to be more careful because it’s more fragile obviously because it’s relaxed. I will never tell another blk woman what to do with her hair. I will say that I feel like hair equipment(flat irons and blow dryers) r way more efficient than what was used back in the day. Growing up, my mom got my hair done every other week. I would get a relaxer/touch-up and a flat iron with the hot iron and hot oven. I have noticed with the equipment I have now, still gives that same relaxed look, without damaging my beautiful long curls. My hair is also pretty healthy. I just want women to possibly try other options, before putting such a harsh chemical in their hair 💕💕
Your hair is beautiful and you're living your best life for you!! I use the Just for Me kiddie texturizer and straighten every 3-6 months. Just like you, I put my hair in protective styles or just wear corn rows endlessly with wigs lol. But when my hair needs to come out, people keep asking if I'm wearing a wig lol. Your hair is beautiful-ah!! Love it! ❤
Black women still perming hair in 2023???? 😢we know now that they are hazardous, and it doesn't matter how good you take care of your hair, relaxers are bad!!
Those relaxers seep into your skin and they cause issues in the body especially issues pertaining to the reproductive organs. FYI cuz I really do care.
I get the fear of overuse of relaxers. But That doesn’t include everything around us in our everyday life and homes down to the processed foods we consume too. There is danger in a lot of things, perhaps not the same, but same negative results in different ways. What about in moderation? She can’t do a big chop or shave when she is through with relaxers? Will she get cancer from 1-2 relaxers a year especially if it’s a temporary phase. Lol she went 9 months without a relaxer and people can’t process it’s her head and her choice. Adults make decisions everyday that can cause long term damage in the long run. Pick your poison, no one is perfect, you like what you like. But this is in extreme moderation. I doubt she’ll get cancer from one relaxer a year, when people use to get them every month, even with going natural probably still out did her with lifetime relaxers. When I use to be relaxed I use to do the same thing. 1-2 a year. But I’ll be damned to be bullied into feeling like I can’t relax my hair once a year if I wanted to and it’s on my head growing out my body tf. I’m not relaxed but no I have the choice and the right to feel happy and not self hating. Then people call you self hating, uhhh I have a right to switch up my favorite styles and it doesn’t have to be natural rn, that’s OKAY!!! How many black people identify with different cultures for a period of their lives. It’s temporary and if I’m doing it below moderation I’m sure my hair will grow back 🙄 weaves and relaxers don’t mean I hate myself. Y’all police black women at times more than the world when they are in a different era from natural, like you didn’t go through your own stage, then try to stop people from experiencing theirs because you know it all and cancer?. So you’re getting cancer too right? Some never were relaxed but you have to understand everyone’s journey is different. I’m enjoying this stage of my life with being able to experiment with hairstyles and I will pay the price to the right stylist who treats me respectfully to do my hair unapologetically. I can save money, but that’s other people’s lives if they have time to do extra to their hair when they want to, not everyone’s reality. Like my reality is I’m going to try different styles with weave’s unapologetically. And I had pleasant salon experiences where the business is worth the money.
Some of y’all need to stop casting judgments and just compliment the girl on how bomb her hair is and how beautiful the outcome was 😍 It is what it is and people make their own choices still, WITHOUT needing to be hollered at about that choice 🙄
Her just trimming the tippy tips of her ends. 😂😂🤣 Girl, you need to go in and CUT. You have so much breakage on your ends and they're see through. Cut. Cut. ✂️ ✂️ 💇♀️. Do it. Lol.
That's called "demarcation" ( straight, curly, straight, curly look) normally comes from over processed hair. When that happens you do a virgin relaxer.
Please leave relaxers alone, supposedly cancer causing, all those deadly chemicals formaldehyde for example. I use to get relaxers as an adolescent, had to stop because of scalp burning. YOUR HAIR WILL BE GORGEOUS WITHOUT THE CHEMICALS. TRUST IT WILL BE STRAIGHT.

Beautiful results. Can you tell me what flat iron this is?
Ghd platinum plus
For the record fibroids are real in African Americans and its from hair relaxers. Use at your own risk.
The end result is so pretty and bouncy 👍🏽🥰
I will never tell another blk woman what to do with her hair. I will say that I feel like hair equipment(flat irons and blow dryers) r way more efficient than what was used back in the day. Growing up, my mom got my hair done every other week. I would get a relaxer/touch-up and a flat iron with the hot iron and hot oven. I have noticed with the equipment I have now, still gives that same relaxed look, without damaging my beautiful long curls. My hair is also pretty healthy. I just want women to possibly try other options, before putting such a harsh chemical in their hair 💕💕
First relaxer I’ve ever seen looks great! Everyone’s else’s hair looks dry & brittle. You def tempted me!
Right. I had a relaxed and I knew of many others growing up who had them and hair always looked dry and damaged.
@@neonpandas that’s why I get surprised when I see relaxed hair blowing in the wind
YuO sHoUlD bE aShAmEd Of YaSeLf!! 🤪
Okay that's enough of that. Hair looks very good. 👍🏾
I can't understand why the trolls leave negative comments when it's her hair... nevertheless, HER HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL!
Ok
So is sugar and processed foods
I totally agree with you 👏
@@akialanae9497was coming to say the same.
So are the lotions and perfumes many ppl wont stop using. So are our food and beverages.
Those relaxers seep into your skin and they cause issues in the body especially issues pertaining to the reproductive organs. FYI cuz I really do care.
Gray hair girl you look like a high school student 😮😍😍
Stop 😂
Nah you do
Great Genetics!
why do people still use relaxers smh no bueno
Because it’s my personal choice ❤️
Absolutely stunning 😍
Your hair came out very beautiful. I'm a natural and I straightened my hair from time to time. So I know that high gloss beautiful feeling.❤
Thank you so much!!
I'm a white girl & no nothing about relaxing hair but your hair turnt out gorgeous ❤ it looks so healthy
The greys are greing and that’s my hair just hairing. 😂😂 I love it! 😂😂
I love a good relaxer chile
Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL and healthy baby!!! Love to see it. 😍😍🤩🤩🤩🩷🩷
😊
Black people's hair is so amazing! Wowwwwww! 🤷🏾
Some of y’all need to stop casting judgments and just compliment the girl on how bomb her hair is and how beautiful the outcome was 😍 It is what it is and people make their own choices still, WITHOUT needing to be hollered at about that choice 🙄
Can u trim my ends?
Okay shine and body😍
Did you use a heat protectant or leave-n conditioner? I've never seen a relaxer look this good! I had to use holding spray before curling.
You are really pretty!
Thank you! You too!
Looks beautiful!❤ I'm almost tempted to relax mine....I've been natural FOREVER and just want a lil change
Yall still using relaxers in 2023...😒
Thank you! ❤️
Her just trimming the tippy tips of her ends. 😂😂🤣 Girl, you need to go in and CUT. You have so much breakage on your ends and they're see through. Cut. Cut. ✂️ ✂️ 💇♀️. Do it. Lol.
Thanks for the tips! ❤️
Girl, your hair looks gorgeous ❤
Thank you!!
Did you know you can achieve this same look without a relaxer? You could eliminate the health risk and just achieve your desired look.
Thank you! ❤️
Using relaxer + blowdryer + iron 🤦♀️
It is astounding that this hair is still alive
Still alive & kicking 😉❤️
@@NiaraAlexis wasn't a compliment. Just give mercy to your hair. Heat should only be used every week, NOT 3 times at the same hour
Thanks so much! ❤
Imagine trying to tell somebody how they should maintain their hair when clearly what they’re doing is already working. 🤦🏾♀️
Natural hair Nazis!!! That's what they are! Too funny, sis your hair is gorgeous!
That's called "demarcation" ( straight, curly, straight, curly look) normally comes from over processed hair. When that happens you do a virgin relaxer.
Your hair is beautiful... you did an amazing job 😊
Thank you so much!!
@@NiaraAlexis You are very welcome 😘
Hair wasn’t just hairing it was showing out!!
Did you use grease on your scalp before applying your perm.
I love a jet black or dark brown rinse! Your hair is beautiful!❤❤❤
I hate how relaxers make the hair look when wet. It looks so bad.
You should put heat protection on your hair when you flat iron your hair!
I do! ❤️
The hair is definitely hairing
I love seeing how everyone is loving their crowns. I’m a loc’d lady but I still watch natural and relaxed hair tutorials lol. Your hair is gorgeous and looks so well cared for ❣️✨
Thanks for sharing!!
I think our textures are similar I’ve been on and off with relaxers but it seems like my hair is being very stagnant I can’t get past this tapered cut and I’m trying to chill on relaxers but it kinda seems like that’s the only thing that helped my hair absorb products otherwise it’s just dry and brittle I know this isn’t a growth video but yours seems to be healthy glowing and growing maybe I’ll figure it out 1 day
Try protective styles
