I love that your TBH is ~20 books. I am in awe. Like, I didn't even know that was possible. lol. It gives me hope. My goal this year is to read purely from my physical TBR 🤞, which is sad to say like 45+ books because I seem to think that I, a full-time uni student with a heavy load of coursework, have the time to read more than like 10 books outside of my subject. 😅😭 Edit: It turned out so great!
Hahahaha I’m learning I’m definitely in the minority with a small physical TBR. Lmao. But tbh it takes a wholeeeee lot of will power. 😂 Thanks for the compliment on the bookshelf corner!
Enjoyed watching you go through these books especially how you give a brief summary of them even if you didn’t like the book or if you couldn’t get through it what about the book made it a rough read! I’d like to read more myself. So far I really enjoyed reading the book “silent patient” as well as some autobiographies like “ from red earth” but it’s been awhile since reading these. It would be cool to see a like “ intro to reading” type of video here too! Either way I’ve subscribed! Can’t wait to see what you create next!
Thank you so much! I know I can get wordy (hence the hour long video 😅) so it’s so nice to hear that you got something out of it/it was entertaining for you! I think an intro to reading would be such a great video, I’ll have to brainstorm on that one. Thanks for the suggestion! And thanks for the subscription! I hope to hear more about what you’re reading around here and welcome 🧡
House of Leaves is one of my all time favorite horror books, my copy is filled with notes in the margins and even a few sticky notes where I needed more room! Your library is gorgeous and your reorganization of it looks soooo amazing!
Thank you so much! ♥️ And YES! My first copy of HOL looked the same! My heart will forever be broken that I gave it away, but I WILL reread this fresh copy this year, it’s one of my top 5 books and it’s been 10 years since I read it, I have to see how it feels now. Lol.
Thank you very much! And I’m really enjoying reading “The Black Girl Survives In This One” and “Jackal” by Erin E. Adams. Hope you’re reading something enjoyable as well!
We read really different genres but it’s so easy to tell when someone truly loves reading and your energy exudes that! Subscribed right away 🥰 Notes on an Execution was great! Don’t own it physically but I really want to. Oh my godddd I hate The Catcher in the Rye so much. I’m upset my eyes had to go through that. I’ve also starting dipping my toes into horror in the last couple years so I’m looking forward to getting some recs 👀
I appreciate hearing that so much, thank you! Also checked out your channel and love what you’re doing, subscribed! Notes on an Execution was definitely a fav from last year! I’m also glad to hear I’m not the only one who found that “classic” a STRUGGLE. I hope you find some new recs and favorites from the channel in the future!
@kelssweetie I feel that my birthday is two months after Christmas feb 7th and I do not get a break between book trips so I just need to limit the library to make it work
I’m trying to read house of leaves this year but I’m so intimidated. I have over 125 books on my owed TBR haha I look at my little library as a place to browse to find my next read much like a real library I guess haha and then just all the books I actually like. I did get called out by a friend not to long ago asking if I’ve actually read all my owed books and I just laughed at him.
It’s such a great book, tbh when you start getting sucked in to it, how long it is starts to be an afterthought! I’ve read it once and even then I’m still intimidated to read it again! 😂 125!? That would give me so much anxiety that they needed to be read, like a reminder of how many books are out in the world that are amazing stories that I have to read. Lmao. 😂
@@kelssweetie I have a real problem at the book store haha but I do read mainly from the books I own so there’s that. Idk I just like having a lot of options. But yeah when I think about it it starts to stress me some Oh and love the new shelf’s btw!
Honestly I fully understand, near the end of last year I started to get real FLIPPANT with my credit card at the bookstore. Lmao. And thank you for the compliment on the shelves! Let’s see if they stay looking nice as the year goes on 🫠😂
Will agree with you that annotating House of Leaves is a labor of love, mine is my pride and joy lol
Like once you’re done, it’s like a part of you! 😂 I can’t wait to have some time to reread and do it again though. Lol.
@@kelssweetie that book lives rent free in my head and I love flipping through all my annotations every so often. 🥰
As an early childhood educator, I also love picture books!!
Finally! Another adult who can appreciate a well done picture book! 🧡

🧡 thank you!!
I love your unhinged reviews of books you didn’t like 😂
😂😂 haha thank you!
House of Leaves…I’m intrigued!! 🤔
That book made me SPIRAL. (in the best way possible as a horror reader 😂) One of these months I’m going to dedicate to being swept up in it again.
Looks a great library. Best wishes with your reading choices. Hope you are reading something good.

to tell you my tbr is now almost 30 because of the library system
Honestly, that’s not that bad! I’ve heard people saying they have 50+ physical TBRs and I’m just like, “what’s your anxiety like?! 😂”
@@kelssweetie I have that type of anxiety too so I just try to read it all before I go to another bookstore
@@sydrichey6600 I’m trying to get back to making a habit of this again this year along with exhausting my library options!

It’s a THICK one so it’s not something you just jump into without a plan. I’m having that problem even while trying to do a reread. Lmao.
