You totally could get a conversion device to fit it into a Type A power socket and Type B plug. Fortunately, Japan has the same MHz rate as the USA when it comes to power, so it makes things a little easier than adapting an electronic device from UK/EU standards to USA standards, and yet here you thought that playing video games made me an idiot.
