Mercedes AMG is making a big comeback to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the toughest endurance races, after 26 years. They’re entering with their AMG GT3 cars, teaming up with an Italian racing crew. It’s exciting because Mercedes wants to show they’re not just about luxury cars-they can race and win, too! It’s about Mercedes trying to make a strong return to a competitive arena while aiming for redemption after a brutal history at Le Mans. The script also talks about a cool idea for a fantasy car called the 2025 AMG GTP E-Performance, which fans would love to see competing against other high-tech cars from brands like BMW and Porsche. With sleek designs and plenty of horsepower, the prototype could really shake things up in racing.
Whoever made this model needs to be hired onto a team asap
The problem with the CLR was the long overhangs of the wheels at both ends. While they helped make the car incredibly sleek and low-drag, they also made the car aerodynamically unstable over uneven terrain. None of those problems showed up in testing, but all tests were done under ideal conditions, like a wind tunnel or the road course layout of California/Auto Club Speedway. On these mirror-smooth surfaces, the car was benign and safe. But after encountering turbulent air on undulating tarmac, the CLR earned its infamous reputation as an uncontrollable flying object. They didn’t see it coming until it was too late.
The body of the prototype looks awesome and the sound is amazing to hear
I hope Mercedes makes its own hypercar.. I wanna see the competition between it and the Porsche 963
I feel like dis why ford mclaren and amg joined lmgt3 to see what it's like before joining lmh/lmdh
Also can you make a vid on the audi lmdh like how it look like performance ect 🙏
Audi should bring a hypercar as well, to add in the german manufacturers competition in 2:45
@@alexandremedeiros817 The LMP1 days were basically Audi vs Porsche for almost every race haha. Audi has a lot to learn from F1 so we could see something crazy for the next set of regs
There is rumour that this could become a reality, from what a read some kind of 'chassis partner evaluation' has possibly taken place basing the car on the LMdH platform, as to what engine, probably a modified version of there GT3 car, it's proven reliable and powerful and 'road related' for marketing purposes plus it's probably more cost effective than building from scratch. They've got a new GT car coming in 27' so as you say it makes sense
"It’s not for granted that you can run the GT3 without LMDh" Quoted from Lamborghini's technical director Rouven Mohr (credit DSC). Ford have now announced a LMDh program, McLaren seems to be an "any day now" thing which leaves MB as the only LMGT3 without an active or announced program (Corvette/Caddy under GM).
Something tells me that an MB LMH will be announced at Le Mans this year.
This would be a very good competitor in the Hypercar class and put Mercedes back on the map for overall competition. This car having a 10,000 rpm V6 engine would be very cool!
Definitely! It would be amazing to see Mercedes back in the Hypercar class.
ig it will be 8700 rpm, 10k rpm can work but not sure if it rev like that on 24h of working, it gonna sound like that issota lmh
Did you know the Acura LMDh can hit 10K RPM? I'm not sure if that car goes that high during those 12 to 24-hour races, but some race cars like the Peugeot 905 definitely did, so it can work.
@ on the debut it did destroyed few hours later (i mean that 905), n that why group c ded (cux engine rev too much so block, piston, cams,.... need to be stronger so the price rased)
Would be one of the best looking GTP/Hypercar
Oh nice, a Mazda LMP Racecar 2:00
looks like Mazda RT24P
LMP2
The design of that model is amazing. Although i wouldn't be surprised if Merc simply does what AM did with their hypercar. Take an AMG one and modify it, like how AM modified the valkyrie
Yeah, that won’t happen because the AMG One is just a track car, not built for endurance. They didn’t design it to be an endurance car at all. Their future sports car prototype might borrow aesthetics from the AMG One and AMG GT3 Evo, like the headlights, grille, and engine, but everything else is new.
Why not just use an AMG ONE as the platform for a hypercar like Aston Martin did with the Valkyrie
Mercedes isn't on board with that plan because it doesn't fit their marketing goals. As much as we'd love to see the AMG One hypercar hit the track like the Valkyrie, it was never made for endurance racing. This leads to thinking they would build an LMDh and use one of their existing engines from their F1 or GT3 cars.
@@christheradar I guess they can modify or even create a new chassis built specifically for endurance racing with the equipments redeveloped specifically for WEC, IMSA which is similar to how Valkryie Hypercar isn't the same as the road Valkryie
One of the big problems that would hold them back would possibly be their engine
I mean Mercedes is rumored for an LMDh entry in Hypercar and/or GTP, so it’s probably not that far fetched. Especially since before, Ford and McLaren by 2023 when Hypercar reached its peak and GTP was introduced (or reintroduced if u will) were only just rumors they’d do a sports car program, but it was just that, rumors. Until the end of last year where a McLaren Hypercar/GTP actually seemed like a possibility. Now Ford has announced a Hypercar program with potentially a GTP program in the future. And by it sounds McLaren is set to announce a Hypercar/GTP program later this year. So Mercedes in most likely Hypercar at least probably wouldn’t be a stretch if they can fit it along with their F1 program.
Although if we want to be more realistic with what to expect with the car, as much as we want the car to be an LMH spec with Mercedes’ capable of designing fast and extraordinary race cars. With the F1 program it’s probably gonna be made under LMDh to keep it on the cheap side. The engine will most likely be from a road going engine, something similar most likely to what’s run in the GT3 car or whatever model will replace the current GT3. Albeit NA or Turbo, V6 or V8, etc. The F1 engine, even if it were reengineered to be capable for endurance racing, it’s not really meant for it, even with the 2026 regulations with lower hp, it’s not really tested nor suited for endurance racing. As for what team would run the program? Well that’s a very long list to go through. It could go to Iron Lynx since they’re running Mercedes GT3s in WEC and already have prototype experience especially with Lambo, it’s not 100% certain they’d do it. And even then I feel like Mercedes would kinda treat the program similar to what Lamborghini is doing where they’re more so going the full privateer route where it’s kinda like GT3 customer support teams but also not like GT3, if that makes sense.
Nah,if mercedes would join in hypercar class i think they would use a v8,yes f1 v6 is insane and they know a lot about it,but if we talk of mercedes-benz,they are know for theyr v8 like in the clk lm,the amg gt3 or even the c9
I with you had also used the fantastic sound from the Assetto Corsa model.
It looks exactly like the McMurtry speirling from the front
Great video can you do a video on a possible McLaren lmh entry there is a concept on Reddit and it looks so good
That makes sense the modified formula 1 engine it works
Well, can me give you some request? About the video of What if FIA bring back Group C as a Le Mans Megacar?
I think Mercedas would make a LMH car.
@Christheradar are you agree if LMDh is feel like lower than LMH even using their own engine?
I didn't really get your question the way you phrased it.
@@christheradar Is Merc should LMH instead like Peugeot 9x8 is like more pure design from origin of the Mercedes factory
Of course, but I think they will pick the LMDh formula.
Not sure about the sound, it has dual exhaust comparer to the highly unrestricted single F1 megaphone 😆
But the Ligier chassis is a good looking choice
Alright then now I will wait for Pagani and Koenigsegg join WEC
it looks way too good to not become reality
@christheradar Wish you could do something like this for what the 2023 Audi LMDh car would look like had they actually competed. I hope you do!
the picture of the HyperCar Mercedes has or looks like the back of the 963.
08:50 you didn't tell everything. another driver drove into the Mercedes and as a result he crashed into the stands and ...
If that happend we would see a new mercedes takeoff
I get that it's a joke, but with how tech and aerodynamics are nowadays, the FIA is definitely going to be super strict about it, so I really doubt it would happen.
The mercedes gtp probably would be an amg one inspired car (with the v6 split turbo they have in formula one with some changes)
1.6 V6 is too small for endurance
The biggest question what engine would AMG Gtp have
F1 derived V6 engine.🙂
Watch the whole video to find out.
@@christheradar surely not
Everything about it looks cool but the headlights look like an audi lol
@arya0794 Damn, I can see that. However, take a look at the current models of the AMG cars. Their headlights look similar to the car you see on the thumbnail.
It looks like an LMP2 with w223 headlights....but I would love to see mercedes enter a hypercar
So, do you think it’s cool or not? If you check out the current hypercars using an LMDh chassis, like those from BMW and Porsche, it totally makes sense that they look like an LMP2. That’s because LMDh is built on an LMP2 chassis.
@christheradar really if the rear fin/wing element were tweaked to be a bit more unique that would probably make the look complete, i like the rest of the design I just don't think the lmp2 fin works with it, they can make it more sleek and match the flow of the car. I really like the extensions on the front fender and I would like to see slats over the opening in the fenders to go with the AMG One vibe on the front end.
Project Cars 2 Ahh Theme Music
GIVE ME DOWNLOAD LINK
clr pt2 ahh
What if this Mercedes race car exists I hope this Mercedes race car will never ever flying off the track like his CLK GTR LM.
That was the CLR, not the CLK GT R. Unfortunately, it's a common misconception.
@christheradar Okay sorry my bad.
@@christheradar are you gonna a make video about the history of the Mercedes Motorsports.
6:06 1.6 V6 is too small for endurance racing
@A-BYTE94 They can still modify the engine purely for endurance racing. There is a rumor that Mercedes is considering using an F1-inspired engine in endurance racing. I didn't mention the liters because it would be challenging to guess.
@christheradar no, too small Engine
No, please no. The world had seen enough of flying mercedeses, why tempt fate? ;D
Because if they wanted to tempt fate, Mercedes would start a dance-off with a tornado! At least then it would be entertaining lol. Next thing you know, we'll have luxury jets doing donuts in the sky.
There is no WHAT IF
THEY WILL
@Bncxx1275 Until *Mercedes* says it's *official,* this remains a WHAT IF ;)
❤❤❤❤😮
should have made it black
@amgoneisdope No, Silver Arrows. ;)
Que vídeo maravilhoso! Podiam fazer um McLaren, Nissan e um Jaguar também...
