What I like about this show is it allows us a small glimpse into the true character of these mega-stars. Also I love the innocence that we all had back then. The world today is dark mean tainted and evil.

I liked Allen Ludden, he usually seemed like a nice guy, and his wife Betty White always praised him as the best of husbands, yet he could often put himself needlessly in awkward situations. I give Rita Moreno points for how she handled his tactless question in response to hearing it was her birthday. Saying she looked 23 when she told him she was 33, was a gallant effort to smooth things over, but then he stepped all over that by changing it to 13, which was bizarre and just made it all worse than ever! It’s those sort of Freudian slips that make you wonder about underlying feelings of dislike or aggression. My mother taught me when I was a child you don’t ask people their age, at least not after they’re 20. He indicated he knew that was a don’t ask question by halting and then STILL went ahead and asked if he could ask! The answer long deceased Mr Ludden is NO, and if you already know it’s no when you embark on that faux pas, you pull yourself up and apologise for asking. I wouldn’t have been as gracious as Rita was, especially for all the thanks she got. When he asked if he could inquire after acknowledging it wasn’t polite I would have smiled and replied that he got it right the first time, it’s not a question you ask. Awkward, probably, but that’s how you learn not to plow ahead when you find yourself on the precipice of overly personal questions. Asking if you can go ahead anyway is never the right move, unless you’re not bothered about being a boor.

Rita Moreno was from Puerto Rico Territory, U.S.A., and Paul Anka's Dad and Mom were from (Lebanon & Syria) and moved to Ottawa, Canada. If that is the case, then all the more applause to both for doing so well giving and getting clues in American-English. 😊😎
Puerto Rican's pretty much speak English mostly. Not that much of a stretch for her. Paul spoke English in Canada, not French, or Lebanese. Easy for both.

Paul was only like 23 or 23 years old. And yet so grown up and mature for his age. Traveling the world. Respectful, polite and a gentleman. .. i was only 1 or 2 years old. Man I wish i could live as a young adult in that time. Looking at so many of the young adults in the world today. No repect. Entitled. Rude. Cold...Not all. But alot of them are. Its so sad. So frightening. 😢

I wish they would bring Password back. Password has been revived a few times with the last host of any Password version was Regis Philbin. If they bring Password back, maybe they need to bring Regis back. Jeopardy has been revived twice and if Jeopardy has been revived before, Password should come back.

This segment of Password occurred on my 10th. b'day. Dec. 10th., 1964. I actually recall my 10th. b'day. They're so cute Rita & Paul...& Allen.
I had just turned 9 years old a few days before that.
