Purple Heron (Ardea purpurea), Exeter Canal, Exminster Marshes, Exeter, Devon.

An early start this morning to try for closer views of the Purple Heron on Exminster Marshes. Initially, I couldn't find it and walked in completely the wrong direction. Luckily, another birder found it and I hurtled back up the towpath to catch some pretty good views.
