The living situation can be a hard one to answer. I'm 43 and still live at home on the family farm. I have had a few different jobs as well as working for myself with heavy equipment to fixing recreational vehicles like four wheelers and golf carts. It is a good match for both me and my parents. We get along very well and take care of eachother. I still have reservations telling people because the negative stereotype. Great videos. Keep up the good work.
Stay living at home with the parents mate. Save as much $$$ as ya can before moving out. Any chance of some back to basics camping videos? Cheers mate.
Favourite part of W.A.? The Pilbara! YES!!! That is my spirit land. I have been watching the ascent of your channel with interest and we have been watching since your subs were 179. (well that's when we put up a link). What makes this channel so appealing in a market that is full of great talent? I think it is your personality. The production, editing and filming is as good as the best but the thing that sets this channel apart is you. I wish you every success and if you aren't snapped up by a TV channel, then they have lost their minds.
Another great vid. Don’t be shy or ashamed of what you do or where/how you live. You’re a true champion, your legion of fans are testimony to that! Thanks for inspiring.
Great video. Thanks for showing us a lovely Polish river. Also, many Thanks to 'Dad' for the wonderful music! I hope your holiday brings you many happy memories.
Yellow shirt - yellow boat. Not the first time you colour coordinated 😀. Love your honesty about your personal life it really creates a link with your subscribers, keep the videos coming.
Mike, I love your channel. One of the more genuine dudes on TH-cam. You're videos are very inspirational mate. You must smile in your sleep too :) Kev!
The music was brilliant. Thanks for the great answers. No shame in living with your parents...nor in keeping details of your personal life private. Really enjoyed the video!
Nothing wrong with living at home mate. I was 31 years old when I moved out but was able to save for deposit for my own house 👍 . You will have sufficient funds to seek adventure 😀🍺🍺
Becoming really common in the part of Canada I'm in, housing and rentals are just too damn much. You can only get ahead if you share and if your introverted, parents can be the best option.
I have a 2001 TD42 GU Patrol, its by far the most simple car ive ever worked on, minimal electrics, parts are everywhere and just easy to work on in general. Got all the bells n whistles a true 4x4 set up for touring should have, dif locks front and rear, rooftop tent, dual fridges, winch, scrub bars, and rock sliders, 35" all terrains (would have mud tires but there is just no point for me) Staino snorkel, custom airbox, UFI TD05 16g turbo, Cross country intercooler, 12mm boost compensated pump,, ect ect... The best thing about it was getting it on the dyno, $380 bucks for 2.5 hrs dyno time, no ECU to tune or flash, only a fuel pump screw and boost controller.. easy as.. Went in with 70kw (untuned after the pump and new turbo) waled out with 112kw and 650nm on a "safe tune", could have easily left with more but I wasn't looking for power.
Well said mate , you live your life the way you want to live it ! , I’m old school when it comes to camping and 4x4ing so the least complicated the equipment the better . The idea was always to get away from it all not take it all with you 😎. 😎👍🍺
Nothing wrong with living at home with mum & dad, stay at home as long as you can. Its not like you’re a no hoper druggy living in the basement 🤣. That theme music you’re dad played was fantastic!
I love watching your videos because of your great imagination, and your video shots are top notch, and tell a story on their own. Many of the folks who live in Oregon in the United States live here because of the great out of doors. A common street sight is the VW Westfalia which are kept loaded and ready to go. Many of the transit lines drop off at trail heads near the cities. Suburu Outbacks are the most common auto on the streets. It's one thing to have the gear, it's another to use it.
Hey Michael, I wouldn't worry about telling the whole world that you live at home, I think it's great to hear you absolutely adore your mum and dad, I mean I adore your parents and yet I haven't met them, my husband and I can't get over your maturity, about certain things, and your love for nature, and living in the outdoors, and you love a good yarn, you and Mischa are a right pair too, you two together should have your own Outdoor Adventure show
Nothing wrong with living at home, though at the same time I would love to move into my own place. I'm in a similar situation, being from Sydney the cost of living is so expensive on a single income, I've been saving up a house deposit since my first job so it's a slow process. The repayments on a mortgage here are absolutely crippling. I just bought a ute and some camping gear so really excited to get out there. Please, think about a NZ trip. I just got back from road tripping the south island in the winter, it's so incredibly beautiful, I was blown away. Plenty of amazing camp sites, all the hikes you could imagine, beautiful mountains and lakes. You'd love it.
QNA??? I know what a gnu is, or is that a canoe, but is a QNA some kind of Aussie critter? Or maybe it's some kind of Polish fish, after all, you were out boating. Were you fishing for a QNA??? OK, enough of my attempts at humor but do you fish? Have you ever thought of doing some episodes on fishing or even episodes of living off the land while camping out?
Go Dad! See, there's a perfect reason to live with your parents; built-in music! But honestly, when I heard the Titanic theme I was going to throw something if you rowed by a door floating in the water ;-)
What a great interactive vid - well done. What forum were these questions asked on? Twitter or something? Good idea however you did it and thoroughly enjoyed hearing more of your backstory. And yes, just getting out and away from the city is the best thing. Cheers.
Go to Moab, Utah (USA). You will love it!! It is the ultimate off road mecca and it offers other outstanding outdoor adventures (hiking, mountain biking, even river rafting on the Colorado River). Oh yeah and so many National Parks nearby!
I started out with a rooftop tent, it's perfectly fine if you use it for a weekend here or there, but for someone like you I believe it won't work, I'm going to get a swag like yours eventually.
Love your channel! I'm out at lancelin at your advice, it's pretty amazing here. I agree with you about the 4x4ing being about the destination, i have a santa fe and I clock 300km within view of the cbd enjoying Amazing views and tracks.
I drive a Toyota 4Runner (Prado?), and want to know what tires you like? I need tires good for tarmack (wet/snow) and also decent for off light off roading, and I am looking for suggestions.
Mike Wasowski thanks for the mention you legend, i really respect michael and respect his answer actually and could not agree more, i agree that i only use my fourby to get to beautiful places. I actually passed michael near reef beach about a year ago on the tracks(before he blew up and got the recognition he deserves) bloody top bloke. Just like you thanks again.
Living at homes fine. No need to be embarrassed about it. I stayed home for way to long. My parents are epic and my mum is my best friend. I saved up to buy my first home. I'm now mortgage free at 33. P. S. I love the tramping videos. Keep them coming
hello bro i hope you are doing well , could you please show us how do you transport a kayak on cargo roof rack ? and is it safe to do that ? what kind of roof rack do you recommend for that thank you
Mate;)
A rooftop tent doesn't rule out solar. The solar panels can easily be mounted on top of the rooftop tent, especially those that are flexible and come without a frame. It's funny that you use the term "living at home" meaning "living with your parents", many people do as well in German, but I find it very funny (peculiar), because everybody lives "at home". When you leave your parents, you just switch homes, but still "live at home".
A bit polish a bit peggish a bit tarpish, camping equipment is his blood 😉👍 any time a snake tears it up through a campsite can be a worry when little ones are around. Enjoy the rest of your holiday Micheal.
Thanks Michael. Really enjoyed this video.......well up to the singing part at the end🙉. Pretty much my favorite channel now. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
I was thinking..... You should consider going into the Offroad Recovery Business like Winder Towing in Utah. Matt makes a living with his old Jeep saving people from the wilderness.
Another thought - go into the Tourism business - Offroad tours - Downhill bicycles like in Hawaii. Numerous Adventure Tourism ideas out there. No work in Western Australia? Make your own work. Dude looking for a house in WA. That's a potential employee in your Adventure Tours Business.
Boring question but anyway, What is the song that you used in your: Short trip ep4 Kayaking with Dolphins, my one year old daughter love to ear that song. Thanks for your answer. Cheers.
Good to live at home. I'm 77 and love living with my parents. If Dad and Mum want some alone time Mum asks me to turn my hearing aids down and its all good. Except one time when Dad had a stroke during special time and I couldn't here Mum yelling and the ambulance lady walking in on me just as I was... well maybe I should move out and pay my way. Nah my life my way. You live where ever you want.
I moved out at 19 when I was an apprentice had absolutely no money for years! don't let people tell you to be independent stay at home as long as you can! Washing doesn't do itself, biscuits are not infinite, and you're even responsible for feeding yourself, moving out is hell.
Yea but if he was achiley Australian he wouldn't be aloud but seen he's polish we can allow it but if he says pavlova is Australian he will be sent back
Wow, you were really elusive about the partner bit. I get that it's personal which is fair enough. But if it IS Meischa, then good luck to you both :) You both rock!

@Rossi 21 hey man went out solo camping this weekend! Left the Friday night and came back Saturday morning and it was awesome, came a little underprepared entertainment wise, my fire wasn't lighting, didn't have any good music saved on my phone etc. Went to bed early but still loved it. Definetly will be doing it again soon!
@Rossi 21 Ye we have one I should have brang it. It must have been the wood I had cut up with the chain saw. It burnt fine on the outside but would just stop burning for some reason. Oh well.

Agreed! Only been a subby for a week! Wish I had found it earlier
I could not agree more!

Hey Mike, you said "I'm sorry" a lot....you have nothing to apologize for! The drone intro was very nice, the family lives in a beautiful area.

Your poor parents
Becoming really common in the part of Canada I'm in, housing and rentals are just too damn much. You can only get ahead if you share and if your introverted, parents can be the best option.
Great work mate, thoroughly enjoy your videos and your outlook on life
Thanks mate, well said, your answers were from your heart, because that’s the way you are. Safe travels.
Love your channel! Love the q and a shows your a real person.

Why are you embarrassed because you are first gen Australian. Be proud of it mate
Martin K absolutely mate. Real aussies say welcome. He’s worried he’ll lose the narrow minded racist bogans

Excellent, great to some different scenery and the Q&A is great. Your honesty and low key delivery is excellent.
Simply loved it!! 🚣♂️
Come to Canada! We would love to have you film our beautiful country!

"Lions and stuff" 😂 that's half the fun!
Great session! Your videos are great, keep them coming.
Great that you are of Polish decent. Be proud of who you are. I'm proud to be a Kiwi.
Love how honest he is
Never in my life did I think I’d hear row row row your boat stitched together with the Titanic theme. Let alone it being good 👌🏻
Go Dad! See, there's a perfect reason to live with your parents; built-in music! But honestly, when I heard the Titanic theme I was going to throw something if you rowed by a door floating in the water ;-)
Until I saw your comment, the drifting iceberg was just mildly amusing. Michael and his dad are creative geniuses who deserve a TH-cam Oscar.
Which is the best four wheels drive? It is the one you own! That is cool. Thanks.
What brand of esky do you recommend. Love your videos
Old n simple....that's how I feel 🤣🤣🤣 great vid!
Also self employed. Sometimes I make a lot of money sometimes not. The freedom is what makes it great
What a great video. Very well done.
I’m a first generation Australian from Polish heritage on my father’s side too 👍
loved the intro and the music! Loved the questions and answers! Cheers mate!
What a great interactive vid - well done. What forum were these questions asked on? Twitter or something? Good idea however you did it and thoroughly enjoyed hearing more of your backstory.
And yes, just getting out and away from the city is the best thing.

Yes, I want to know too! I totally missed the opportunity.
Props to your Pops for that song!! It was beautiful!

I doubt I'll be the only one to suggest "old man sticks"(hiking poles) to help with the knee problems.
Made a huge difference for me.
Yeah, and take a look at footwear/ insole choice.
It is strange seeing you in the lush GREEN countryside - beautiful green country. Keep up the good work. : )
Great video thanks for sharing. What sort of fish in that beautiful river? Do you fish?
Yeeeeees, he's back!
I drive a Toyota 4Runner (Prado?), and want to know what tires you like? I need tires good for tarmack (wet/snow) and also decent for off light off roading, and I am looking for suggestions.
Best line: "In fact a whole lota people own 200 series. That don't actually know how to drive them."
Lol. Thanks for reading out my comment. Yes I am aussie/polish even though this isn’t my real name, though it does end in ‘ski’.
Mike Wasowski thanks for the mention you legend, i really respect michael and respect his answer actually and could not agree more, i agree that i only use my fourby to get to beautiful places. One last question....When will you visit Moab Utah?
Have you seen Ronnies latest Utah Videos?

Thanks Michael. Really enjoyed this video.......well up to the singing part at the end🙉.

Nothing wrong with living at home mate 🤙 i moved out at 30ish.
Oi how do I get in contact with you I can't find you on Instagram.
Come to Colorado, please.
Great work. You must be the first TH-camr who doesn't own or want a 79 series.
Owe and where is your mate? Not sure how to spell his name.
Not often that a 79 isnt on youtube.. its a nice change !
Meischa! Or Miescha! But him! :-) He's awesome too.

Boring question but anyway, What is the song that you used in your: Short trip ep4 Kayaking with Dolphins, my one year old daughter love to ear that song. Thanks for your answer. Cheers.
I was just watching that one...again :-). At the very end, around 11:19, it says who the music is by. Vlad...somebody.
Good points.
man I miss you

You should come to New Zealand mate🇳🇿👍
Yea but if he was achiley Australian he wouldn't be aloud but seen he's polish we can allow it but if he says pavlova is Australian he will be sent back
this guy is awesome
I want to know why Blunnies are so popular in the Australian 4x4 community. Kinda wanna get myself a pair.
I live on the east coast
Is Mischa a mate from school/uni ? Do you still see him, will he make a come back as he added value and talent to our video trips?
buy him some boy shorts
Are there flies in Poland or are you just used to waving
Wow, you were really elusive about the partner bit. I get that it's personal which is fair enough.
But if it IS Meischa, then good luck to you both :) You both rock!
Alvin Geurts he answered that on a comment on another video, I think it was the WA.NT trip. Someone asked if they were a couple, he said they're a couple of weirdos but not an actual couple. Not that it would change my high opinion of them either way.
Like wise mate, sole trader and dont own a toyota/nissan. Vehicles roughly 02-08 have the right balance of electronics/luxuries for me, without too many beeps.
What hat are you wearing?
Legend has it that even if he was facing questions from the Supreme Court he would still smile. I love the honesty about 4x4 driving.
intelligent, honest & full of life..
he buddy your alright in my book mate..! I think the same way as you like solo camping. you are a overlander at heart. I still live at home in my own space.
When is the best time to catch a trophy fish?
Lol
No
Making your own hot water Donkey for camping using a simple 12v pump.
Awesome.
Who else is going back and watching all of his videos again because he is quitting yt😪
Hey Michael can you do a video on solo camping? I want to go out by my self but I can't overcome my fears.
@Rossi 21 the fear of just being alone, having no one around and not knowing what's out there. I have heard many story's about my local state forest. A lot of weirdos tend to go there.
Oh well.
Scary howesy is possible to fin that exact spot... on maps K..Z...
yeww iv got a td42 wagon..... go the TD... love this channel btw, remember us when you get big
