      how about we hold a referendum of mass immigration? no-one voted for this and no-one wants it. we as Canadians need to rethink our population growth model. as it becomes increasingly clear that immigration is making our lives WORSE instead of better, it begs the question - why, exactly are we doing this? Canada was a better place in the 50s 60s and 70s.

      Alots of Iranian professors in Canada are reportedly passing Iranian students without ensuring they are truly qualified, which is a significant issue. Many of these students come to Canada with their children, often without their spouses, to obtain visas more easily, knowing that the Canadian government provides financial aid for their kids. Once they arrive, they receive financial support for themselves and their children, along with other government assistance. Many of these students do not have a strong command of English, and some even pay to obtain questions for English exams or pay bankers to create financial documents to demonstrate stability. They may also work in informal jobs to avoid taxes while continuing to receive government support. This includes PhD students, as it's reportedly possible to buy degrees in Iran. Unfortunately, these students have brought the same issues and unethical practices from their home country into Canada, including a lack of genuine qualifications. These practices, along with the influence of Iranian professors, have negatively impacted Canada’s economy. It’s crucial for Canada to monitor these situations more closely and ensure that individuals entering the country are genuinely qualified, not just holding degrees on paper without real expertise.wake up canada

      Don't be fooled my fellow Canadians, this is a big nothing burger designed to make it look like they are doing something. After lowering the cap for 2024, the Canadian government announced a further reduction of new international study permits, which will now include master's and doctoral students. This means the total cap will be reduced from 485,000 for this year to 437,000 for both 2025 and 2026-a 10 percent drop. Do you really think this will make a difference??? A doubling of immigrants through normal pathways to 470,000/yr (starting in 2021 whereas it has always been @250,000) and a 10% reduction in International Students to 437,000??? Are you still wondering why there is no housing in Canada and rents are the way they are??

    • @susanfernandes7748
      @susanfernandes7748 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Legally they can work 24 hours per week. They can bring their spouse and kids but not the parents. The parents could come under other immigration entry regulations but not under the study permits.
      Starting Apr 2024, the spouse can only get a work permit if the student is in a Masters or Doctorate program. There are a few other programs that also qualify. Anyone with a Spousal Open Work Permit prior to that date remains in effect for the duration of the study permit.
      I'm not sure how the policing works but I am sure there is lots of shady business that goes on. Working for cash only.
      200,000 students will have their study permits expire in 2025.

      Iranian professors in Canada are reportedly passing Iranian students without ensuring they are truly qualified, which is a significant issue. It’s crucial for Canada to monitor these situations more closely and ensure that individuals entering the country are genuinely qualified, not just holding degrees on paper without real expertise.

      The Canadian government should closely monitor Iranian professors and students to prevent abuse of the system, ensuring students are financially capable and academically qualified. Those unable to pay tuition should be sent back before exploiting financial aid. Many asylum seekers, especially Iranians, falsely claim danger to obtain citizenship, only to return to their home country afterward. The government needs to prioritize its citizens and strengthen its system to prevent these abuses.

    There's a reason why a lot of international students believe they'll get PR once they finish their schooling here, especially for a useless 2 year diploma. It's because others have succeeded with this route. In the last 8 years, a lot of international students got their PRs by following this route. I think what would truly make this fair is to also deport those who used this route in the last 8 years. I feel like 2015 was the last year where our country didn't feel this distorted.
