Skate shoes in general should not cost over $100. Doesn't matter if it's a pro model. If it costs over $100 they have to be rare shoes that were discontinued or something like old Koston's.
The only positive to this is you can usually find most skate shoes, wether core or big name brand, on sale with a bit of online searching. In all the years I’ve skated I think only paid retail price when the Etnies Marana’s first came out and for the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 7.

Lace the top two holes of each shoe from the outside to in. It can help to hold your heal back, and can help keeping the shoe tighter over the top of your foot. (That shoe has a weird cut/profile to it. I live in Vans TNT’s with a perfect fit. Your shoes just don’t work on my feet.) Keep doing what you do!

Nah it has to do with this guy not tieing up the laces all the way up. Plus not all shoes are made equally once you buy a high end shoe it changes your perception.
You may be able to salvage the white pair by adding an insole on top of the one the shoe came with. This will fill out more space in the shoe giving it a more snug fit. Maybe Kyro could hook you up with a pair of FP's.
I still love how people think of a skate shoe is made of a different material other than suede, a shoe will fit the same. The Ave is 70% mesh, which stretches. You're supposed to buy them a half size or full size down so the mesh stretches around you're foot, without having to anchor you're laces down. This also goes for most shoes with a sock liner or inner booty. Also this stops you from looking like you have clown feet when the shoe is broken in/blown out. Imo a shoe should fit like a slip on, before tie the laces down.
Dude they are a awesome shoe. I'm wearing them right now have been skating them for 2 months and haven't had one problem. I love em. In fact they're holding up pretty nicely. And they're not even wearing out that much and Iv been skating heavy in them. All you have to do is lace them up all the way or by sticker laces and you won't have this problem

Am I crazy couldn't that whole thing be fixed by just lacing up every hole with some decent length laces?
That’s what I was thinking
Me too. I have these kicks, laced up all holes, never once had them fall off.
Exactly y'all I sk8 these shoes 3 pairs and they are best Vans shoes I ever sk8ed. All holes lace up no problem.
Just lace them all the way it doesn’t seem like he needs longer laces
Came here to say the same. This isn’t really a fair criticism of the shoes so much as it is a criticism of the laces that ship with them. Easy fix.
