The fact that Bunny thought David had a leaf and wasn’t anatomically correct made me laugh tho 😅😅 the emoji added to the actual photograph was hilarious
Actually she's not quite wrong. Because I think it was during the Victorian times the museum made a fig leaf for the statue of David to cover his happy bits so he wouldn't shock the delicate sensibilities Victorian ladies. The museum still has the detachable leaf at the base of the statue. And the tour guides have fun telling the story of David's fig leaf .
Fun fact: the statue of David is so large that the dimensions are weird to make perspective correct when viewing from below, meaning his head, hands etc are larger than they would be if he was "life" size.

I think the first one is actually supposed to be based on Picasso, not Matisse. The one by Matisse is just titled "Femme au Chapeau" (Woman with Hat), where Picasso's is usually titled as "Buste de Femme au Chapeau" (Bust of a Woman with Hat). Apparently there are a whole crap ton of French paintings of ladies wearing hats (I know Picasso was Spanish, buy he lived in France and usually titled his paintings in French, so it counts!)

I’ve always been obsessed with Vincent Van Gogh and I became more into his art work and life after going to art school.
I'm drawn to Starry Night like that. All my other favorite art pieces have reasons for why I enjoy them. Starry Night is just pretty to me.
The painting Euphoria by Vinn Wong is the same despite barely having even any of the same colours as Starry Night. He does abstract so the colours are pretty much the most important part of all of his work.
They missed a HUGE opportunity with the Van Gogh figure... they should have cut off one of his ears. THEN, it would be a true homage to Vinny. He is my favorite.
The BEST thing to use silica packets for is to dry your phone 📱 after water. Just collect them in a plastic ziplock bag, and when needed, put the phone in it with them for 24-72hr for best hope. They are better than rice, because rice can get rice dust particles in the phone, and make it worse. -from someone who worked with cellphones for 7 yrs.

I have always loved Starry Night. It just speaks to me.
Silica gel is amorphous Quartz. Quartz crystals are cristalline. It absorbs moisture because the gel is made to have very large pores. The "do not eat" is because it looks eatable and you arn't supposed to eat rocks.

These were all so cute, really enjoyed them!
My two favorite pieces of classical art have always been The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch and Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco Goya. I think I was so drawn to them because in art history class in high school, everything we seemed to learn about were paintings of Jesus and these two were so opposite to that.
So funny! I just mentioned the Bosch and was going to say Goya’s Saturn as well. Great minds and all!

David did have a fig leaf during the Victorian era for modesty it is made of the same stone so it is the same color. Not sure if it is on display anymore it used to be displayed separately at one time.
i remember doing a report on edgar degas in the 5th grade and at the time i lived near detroit so i got to go and see a lot of his work (including little dancer) at the detroit institute of art!! so i’ve always had a fascination with his work 👯♀️🤍 i thought his bunny figure was so cute!!

Aside from the focus the new camera 📷 seemed to work well. My favorites were the Thinker and Edvard Munich’s Scream, it’s a symbol for migraine sufferers.💚💚

I just learned recently that the girl with the pearl earring is a naughty lil joke. Women in that day and age who were know to be promiscuous to put it gently would hang pearls from their ears. So she’s supposed to have a look of “longing” for the admirer of the painting lol
The new camera seems to have truer colors but you need to play with the focusing setting to see if you can get it to fit your needs.

It looks worse than your other camera :/ Maybe it's just the focus setting, cause it almost looks like you're slightly out of focus all the time. Or it's the quality. I even checked the setting on youtube to see if that was the problem first :')

The Thinker is always represented wrong. He has his arms posed in an uncomfortable manner. Also the way his feet are pointed. I remember my art/literature class (it was a neat combo) they asked us to re-create the pose ourselves and I was the only one who did it correctly. It's not the most comfortable pose at all. lol

Its a japanese woodblock print, the man in the picture is ōtani oniji the 3rd he is acting as someone named Yakko Edobei. It was made by Tōshūsai Sharaku, in 1794 in the mid-edo period.
