The fact that Bunny thought David had a leaf and wasn’t anatomically correct made me laugh tho 😅😅 the emoji added to the actual photograph was hilarious
Actually she's not quite wrong. Because I think it was during the Victorian times the museum made a fig leaf for the statue of David to cover his happy bits so he wouldn't shock the delicate sensibilities Victorian ladies. The museum still has the detachable leaf at the base of the statue. And the tour guides have fun telling the story of David's fig leaf .
Hi Bunny, I've been watching your videos for literally about 10 years now and your videos still bring me a comforting feeling that helps me so much , thankyou for being you ❤️
I'm drawn to Starry Night like that. All my other favorite art pieces have reasons for why I enjoy them. Starry Night is just pretty to me. The painting Euphoria by Vinn Wong is the same despite barely having even any of the same colours as Starry Night. He does abstract so the colours are pretty much the most important part of all of his work.
Sitting here watching this while my 4yr old daughter watches her own shows on tv and you were singing the intro and I hear her singing peeeeppppppeeeerrrrssss ^_^
Fun fact: the statue of David is so large that the dimensions are weird to make perspective correct when viewing from below, meaning his head, hands etc are larger than they would be if he was "life" size.
I think the first one is actually supposed to be based on Picasso, not Matisse. The one by Matisse is just titled "Femme au Chapeau" (Woman with Hat), where Picasso's is usually titled as "Buste de Femme au Chapeau" (Bust of a Woman with Hat). Apparently there are a whole crap ton of French paintings of ladies wearing hats (I know Picasso was Spanish, buy he lived in France and usually titled his paintings in French, so it counts!)
I love guessing what the original artwork is and then actually seeing it. I got hella excited when I saw the René Magritte one since he is one of my favourite artists 😍
Silica gel is amorphous Quartz. Quartz crystals are cristalline. It absorbs moisture because the gel is made to have very large pores. The "do not eat" is because it looks eatable and you arn't supposed to eat rocks.
i remember doing a report on edgar degas in the 5th grade and at the time i lived near detroit so i got to go and see a lot of his work (including little dancer) at the detroit institute of art!! so i’ve always had a fascination with his work 👯♀️🤍 i thought his bunny figure was so cute!!
It’s about the only thing on my bucket list to go to Italy to see the statue of David! I was an art major in college for a while and was just drawn to the craftsmanship involved. Sculpting something out of stone like that is a reverse process to me, you’re taking away instead of adding like you would if you were sculpting with clay, and one false move could break the entire piece! I can’t fully wrap my head around it to this day, and college was a LONG time ago 😂
I have actually seen several Magritte and Dali paintings at the Menil Collection in the Museum District in Houston Tx. Bunny if you haven’t been to Menil I would highly recommend it. Back when Houston used to have that museum days where there were free or near free admission, I was introduced to several smaller museums in Houston. I bet you will love it. 🤗
No, David in anatomically correct so a leaf is a good idea. I love the Girl with the Pearl earring because she looks like so much like my daughter's best friend.
David did have a fig leaf during the Victorian era for modesty it is made of the same stone so it is the same color. Not sure if it is on display anymore it used to be displayed separately at one time.
I have many paintings I love but these are the ones that came to mind. The kiss by Gustav Klimt (because I'm a romantic) The two Fridas by Frida Kahlo (for the vulnerability of expressing herself in an unapologetic way.) The oldest Guitarist by Pablo Picasso (the first time I saw it, I felt it's soul. Cheesy I know) Le Chat Noir By Theophile Steinlen (and most of his work because he was a cat lover. I have this and another piece, copies of course, in my dining room). I love your openings. The new camera, despite the up close shots, did well on making the picture quality more crisp. I hope you have a beautiful day.
My two favorite pieces of classical art have always been The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch and Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco Goya. I think I was so drawn to them because in art history class in high school, everything we seemed to learn about were paintings of Jesus and these two were so opposite to that.
You guy with the green apple is a reference to the famous painting by Magritte. It was the theme of the movie "The Thomas Crowne Affaire" These are sooooo coool
It must b the new camera. I would not have thought anything of it, except right b4 you mentioned it, I noticed the colour of your hair seemed different - and I knew you wouldn't have dyed it.
There's a lot of Magritte pieces at the Menil Collection! They rotate them, so you won't always see the same ones when you go. It's my favorite museum in Houston!
I never buy stuff like this (I prefer living vicariously through Bunny😅) but these are SO COOL! That Degas piece is one of my favorites. I might just have to try and get a hold of some of these...
Hey Bunny! I think Girl with Pearl Earring is so popular because of the Scarlet Johansson movie. Just a guess. Thank you for your content. I love your energy🐸🐸🐸 The artwork that I am drawn to is Boreas by JW Waterhouse
The BEST thing to use silica packets for is to dry your phone 📱 after water. Just collect them in a plastic ziplock bag, and when needed, put the phone in it with them for 24-72hr for best hope. They are better than rice, because rice can get rice dust particles in the phone, and make it worse. -from someone who worked with cellphones for 7 yrs.
Scissors! I thought something seemed different but couldn't figure it out till you said it was a different camera. I like it. I seem to be drawn to Starry Night. I don't know why. The stars? Night time? The style? All of those? I don’t know. I just like it
Oh, wow. So we’re getting some vintage-themed unboxings now? Awesome. It’s definitely different from all the other unboxings Bunny did in her previous videos. In terms of the vibe and stuff.
They missed a HUGE opportunity with the Van Gogh figure... they should have cut off one of his ears. THEN, it would be a true homage to Vinny. He is my favorite.
the one of The Thinker reminds me of Frank from Donnie Darko and now I'm having war flashbacks of being terrified of him when I was like 8 djdjfj still v cute but my childhood brain is kinda freaked out by it djdjdj
@@TrapezeMagician They must have removed it then and restored the sculpture. There were a lot of sculptures that had been "modified"from the original to cover up genitalia.
The fact that Bunny thought David had a leaf and wasn’t anatomically correct made me laugh tho 😅😅 the emoji added to the actual photograph was hilarious

I love that bunny shows the actual art peace with each figure
Same
Yeah very nice and helps remember them
They put the leaf on the little figure, but the actual statue is nude. I saw the David statue in Italy and it's amazing!
Yes, no leaf for sure!
There once was a fig leaf added to the statue, but it was later removed.
@@DrBrennan yes, the church went through and added coverings to all the artworks at one point!

too funny and when she asked if the leaf in the original was a different colour i was like......uhhhhhh 'theres not a leaf in the original :P
Fun fact: the statue of David is so large that the dimensions are weird to make perspective correct when viewing from below, meaning his head, hands etc are larger than they would be if he was "life" size.
I noticed that and was confused no one ever said anything

The scream one had to be my favorite
And I've always loved the look of The Starry Night.
Can totally see a difference. It’s so crisp.
I remember being obsessed with Van Gogh’s starry night! I’d still love to see the real one in New York one day!
I love guessing what the original artwork is and then actually seeing it. I got hella excited when I saw the René Magritte one since he is one of my favourite artists 😍
Do you know what book used it as a cover?!?

So fun!! Thanks so so much for showing us the paintings that they represent!!! ❤️😀

I like the Van Gogh and the Scream ones best. Love your hair!
i LOVE these popmart figurine vids
These are all, in fact, the finest of arts. Starry Night is my most favorite.
Silica gel is amorphous Quartz. Quartz crystals are cristalline. It absorbs moisture because the gel is made to have very large pores. The "do not eat" is because it looks eatable and you arn't supposed to eat rocks.
Those popsockets are so freaking cute!! That artist is so talented!!
I absolutely adore the Van Gogh figure! It’s actually his self portrait!
Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights is def one of mine!
These were all so cute, really enjoyed them!
I love Monet’s painting called Water Lillies.
That's one of my favorites too!
I love that too! Monet’s works are so calming & stunning

Love the new camera! Looks great!
I LOVEEE The Starry Night 🌃 I'm drawn to it. I love seeing remakes of it too and everything.
I usually don’t like this character from pop mart but this case was very cool! I really liked these .
I can tell a difference Bunny say that the quality of the picture is a lot clearer and stuff and you’re not going in slow Mo good video
Bunny I think you would love the skull panda x pop mart ancient castles!

I’m digging the new camera bunny!❤️

Yeah, no one needs to se an artist's rendering of cartoon bunny junk. Or at least I hope to God no one exists that needs to see that!

So funny! I just mentioned the Bosch and was going to say Goya’s Saturn as well. Great minds and all!
I’ve always been obsessed with Vincent Van Gogh and I became more into his art work and life after going to art school.
The scream one and the mona lisa were my two favorite. OMG IM TORNNNNN🙉

The scream 😱 one is my favourite 🤗🧚♀️
the scream for me! But honestly anything Van Gogh
Extremely sad that the pop sockets are only available in the US 😔 can’t get them in the UK 😔 xxx

Little Dancer is by Degas. It's one of my favorite art pieces.
The new camera seems to have truer colors but you need to play with the focusing setting to see if you can get it to fit your needs.
Love this theme!

Oh dang I immediately noticed how good the camera quality was and wondered about it then right after you mentioned a new camera lol 😂
Love the camera. How exciting. Hopefully you're having a wonderful week.
I noticed right away the camera is new. It looks really good 👍😊
Bunny, Van Gogh he did make self portraits of himself.🙂
Love you bunny ❤️❤️

Hahahahahaha the statue of David is actually fully naked Bunny!
I'm still trying to figure out the scissors. They look very awkward.
I can tell a difference with the NEW CAMERA, it’s a lot clearer 👍🏻👍🏻 hope you have a GREAT NIGHT BUNNY.🐊
Those pop sockets are cute! Also I don't think the statue has a leaf on real life.. it's just the junk.. yea?
A Fifer where I am from means a Piper that plays Bagpipes so this confused me but so cute they are all so cute and detailed
