hi, I’m using Cubase Pro on iMac with Steinberg MKII sound card.
So far be got cubase 12 pro and have downloaded latest v9 of spectral layers but when I go to extract stems I can only do the vocal not the other stems like bass etc ...is this not the full version of spectral layers then? And if so does the full version cost ? Thanks and great vids ! Invaluable
SpectraLayers One which comes from Cubase only removes vocals but SpectraLayers Pro sold searately can remove the other instruments.
@@gregondo376 thanks Greg ! Quick question ...when I export a part the volume level drops in comparison to what I've just exported as when I play them side by side the exported file is alot quieter although the wave forms look the same volume ..am I missing something ?
Can I sequence in a linear way like in studio one
Cubase pioneered the concept of linear sequencing when introduced in 1989.
I have a cue mix setup but How can I solo a track on my side without affecting what the artist is hearing in the headphones
You could use the listen function instead of the solo in the control room which should work independently of the cue mix.

I only have one question if you could please address it. I finished my mix, it has several tempo changes, when I create a new project to master it, do I have to set the tempo has it was on the mix? Because the mix export has the tempo baked in. That really confuses me. Kind regards.
Generally audio file meta data only has a single tempo value. The Set Definition from tempo can embed multiple tempo values within a file but I am not sure if other programs are able to recognize. It is pretty common for a mix down to not have tempo metadata, more common for commercial drum loops for example.

@@gregondo376 my mix in Cubase Pro has 149 tracks,once the mix is done I want to export it in One single track (the sum of all tracks). Then I open a new project called Master and I want to put my mix in it to master it, now...the mix has 3 time changes through the whole piece,. My question is...do I need to make the same tempo changes on the Master project to match the different tempos on the mix? Because the new Master project defaults to 120bpm,and my piece starts at 61,changes to 80 and ends in 120. Hope I explained it well,kind regards.
@@HOBBITSODYSSEY The exported audio mix down will include the tempo changes when imported into a new project without having to do anything. You don't need any tempo values to load the file into a new project and process it for mastering.
