I have been watching ur vlogs since back in southern Colorado and this video that u show Cirque of Towers alternate was very well done. The Cirque of Towers is just one fantastic view after another. CDT24 or 25……
No matter how many months are spent away from home, a Melburnian never loses the ability to have a whinge about the weather. One of our greatest talents
On my 2021 NOBO thru hike, I ran into a grizzly sow and 2 cubs on the trail the first day out of South Pass City. I live in Utah and have spent a lot of time in the Wind River range and thought that the bears wouldn't be an issue until north of Pinedale... so I still had my spray packed away. Fortunately, they allowed me to back up and they left the trail will incident. From that point on, I kept my spray close at hand until the Canadian border.
Interesting, no one seems to think they're that far down, but you're proof they are . That first morning through there twice I heard wood braking from a heavy animal ten minutes apart ..like I did with first bear in Colorado, I wasn't going looking this time but...
Did you ever consider buying a side arm from Walmart that Clint Eastwood would be proud of and at the end of your trip you could sell it to anyone you like.. stay safe
Definitely the highlight so far! That said, the rest wasn’t too shabby either. The glaciers left a majestic legacy in their wake, that’s for sure. Pretty quiet on the wildlife front in that section by the looks. Good luck with the next bit, you’re powering through.
Absolutely stunning scenery wow....
