Saw Rodrick Dixon perform this last night with The Cincinnati Pops at Riverbend. Standing O, not a dry eye in the house. What an amazing performance! Hearing him, live, was an unforgettable experience.
You've not heard this man really sing until you see him live in person singing O Holy Night at the Old St. Pat's Christmas Concert. My god he has an amazing voice. His wife is pretty darn good as well.
Over the years I've heard many wonderful versions of this timeless song. This is the first time I've heard Rodrick Dixon. I am very sure it will not be the last. This is a performance I'm going to remember a long, long time. Absolutely one of the best live performances I've ever seen anywhere, anytime. And like those in the audience, I have tears.
I had the great pleasure of hearing Rodrick perform this song live in concert at the City Winery last year and it was the best performance in the evening IMHO. What a gifted singer!!

He is an opera singer, not a belter, plus it`s not on every note. And that is a sign correct singing, everybody can scream and belt... only few like him can have such tehnique and emotions....

His voice is amazing but that vibrato on every note is terribly annoying.
