    I like them! I've been using the ikea Billy shelves for my collection. You can buy extra boards to add more shelves. They are a bit too deep for movies though. I have glass doors on some and that really keeps the dust and younger kids out of them. We moved house and I'm down some shelves so I'm currently in a bit of of messy state with my movie organization.

    This is a fantastic video. Thanks for going a bit in-depth on the shelves. I've admired them for quite awhile and that pricing sounds tempting. Still have SO many DVDs in 30 count boxes in a room upstairs.

    These are really nice shelves and exactly what I've been looking for. I have a few spaces where I can fit some shelves but the ones I have are either too small or two big. Ice been looking for something about 5ft. Love how your collection looks and how you've made use of the top space. 👍👍👋

    I was wondering how well have these shelves held up for you a year later? I know sometimes these cheaper shelves tend to sag over time.

    Nice collection. Just bought the 1080 but thinking about getting this one instead because of the shelf depth. Any reason why you didn't get the 1080?

      Thanks. Other shelves were too tall I think and we’d have to secure to the wall.

    Hi Cinema Dave! Question: did you need a power drill or hammer to assemble these?

    • @CinemaDaveMedia
      @CinemaDaveMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. No power drill but hammer and screwdriver is needed.

      Most shelves go together better with screws. You can get 1/8 to 1/4 inch or 3- to 5-mm wood panels cut to replace the back plate. Either way consider replacing the small nails with #4 screws (1/2 to 3/4 inch long) and it helps to drill pilot holes.
      If not building a wooden footing to put them on, find some small plastic feet 18- to 22-mm in diameter (with push bin nail attachment). Use 4 on a small shelf, more on longer shelves (say 2 under each upright). They will make movement easier and protect the bottom from damage (including any water from mopping).
