It wasn't a 'fake out'. This was essentially two mini episodes in one episode, directed and written by two different sets of people. Both deserve credit.

This is the best episode of Season 2 so far. Making us care about Allen and then having him absolutely demolished by 3 Viltrumites in front of his girl was heartbreaking to watch 😱
That ending was absolutely phenomenal and never imagined them to bring back Nolan so soon. Since Ive read the comics you guys are going to be shocked to see what they reveal next episode.

If you read the comics then nothing about the last 15 minutes of the episode should be surprising, it’s almost panel to panel the same, the biggest difference is Seance dog VS Science dog
I am very curious to see how the show is going to handle Nolan/Debbie on the show because there is no way they will follow the comics considering the current social climate.

yeah i mean if it’s in the replies i’m not too mad about it but invincible is a really good story and while i finished it and want to talk about it, i can do that in videos about the comics. its not that hard to just not spoil something.
This comic is so good that knowing everything that’s to come is not enough. You just wanna see it in action. So much action to be seen. I know how how it ends but I’m more pumped to see the action
I know. I've been spoiled by shorts too so much I have to block off those channels but still know things I didn't want to till I read the comic myself 😢. I'm saving up to get the hard cover collections, but I'm broke, so it's difficult lol
@@silentassason I'll say half the time, the thumbnails themselves are out of context. Seriously, there are so many cliffhangers that show up, it'll turn out to go in another unexpected direction. I'm willing to be at least half of what you saw wasn't the full context and that you're fine

I disagree with your opinions on the credits in this ep, it was used to essentially split the episode. The two parts are completely different plot wise, while also being about 2 different couples in both parts. It was a great idea I thought

I think Jaby is forgetting that this show is based on a long form comic series with tons of story. There really is no reason to rush considering this show could go for years even if they rush some things.

What I love about this show is they managed to take multiple issues of the comics that could easily be 20 to 30 minute episodes on their own, fit them all into 45 minutes, and somehow NOT feel rushed!
Also I loved the fact that just like in the comics the narrator kept trying to give the heroes privacy when they would have sex by trying to switch between stories, but when both couples where hooking up he panicked and just kept talking outside Allen’s room.🤣🤣🤣
I’m reading the book now (chapter 72), when I saw how this episode ended I was pleasantly shocked that they are doing this part of the story this fast. I love it.
Also when I got to the part in the book when Nolan showed up, I literally was so surprised I dropped the book and gasped lol.
Since you're in the 70s, if they are going this fast, think about what next seasons halfway final and season final will be, "You will NOT survive."
@@GreyMagee74 I have an idea where this season is going based on the “Invincible” title screen. One story arc I saw a little earlier from where I am is so insane. That arc makes the first episode of the show look like kindergarten.
Well the end credits halfway was because the "Allen" show (hence the title card with his name) was over so I think it worked

I wish Jaby hadn't gone into his anxiety and constant awareness of the season being short and him wanting the plot to accelerate. I was enjoying just watching the show and enjoying it as they intended. Now I feel like I'm going to hyper-aware of it because Jaby couldn't stop talking about it.

In the fight Omni-Man vs Invincible, Omni-Man showed love for his son during the fight in the flashbacks but for him, his mission was in the first place and more important.
It was very shocking seeing what they done to ALAN😢
But this shows how dangerous the Viltrumites are. 3 against 1😶
The series is going to pick up and take off after this part. The arc REALLY gets going in the back half of this season.

It is when the person you're beating isn't the only source of information you have, and is thus, expendable.
I feel like Jaby is being unnecessarily cynical when it comes to this show. I guess not everyone has to like everything but a lot of his criticisms feels like they are just for the sake of criticizing. He has been saying that he is "waiting for something to happen" for 3 episodes in a row now. Clearly this show is not for him because a lot has happened in those 3 episodes.
At the time the Super Soldier Allen was created no one was aware of a Viltrumite's weakness to a certain frequency of sound, and the frequency only works within a planet's atmosphere because in space no sound can travel.
Fun Fact: In episode two when Mark was fighting the underwater monster, it blasted him with sound waves. Cecil noticed its effects on Mark and recorded it. Perhaps to be of use in the future? Hmmm.
If you think about it Omni Man did abandon his mission since he didn't kill his son and since Viltrumites are brainwashed Warriors, they are probably mad about Nolan's recent actions. Also, I have a feeling Omi Man is not the main enemy of the series since there is an army of Viltrumites out there massacring other planets right now so yeah Invincible definitely needs help from his dad.

Seeimg Amber's reactions to Mark having to do his job makes me think she's doing this for his sake thinking she can deal with it but actually cant. I havent read the comics but I suspect she's eventually gonna realize she can't deal with being in a relationship with a superhero and break up with him again. That's just my theory based off just the show.

I REALLY thought the bug monarch was going to want mark to mate with them to make strong soldiers to fight viltrumites, but I guess not. Cause Viltrum blood overrides other blood, so mark could be the key in that way.

After season 1, I wondered how or if the writers would make us side with Omniman (have not read the comics). Now I wonder if Omniman conquered the planet that just joined the coalitions of planets and is now "recruiting" Mark so he can fight the Viltrum empire.
Knowing the comics really makes me feel like I know to much, I won’t spoiler it.
First, an admission, I have read the comics, but I literally saw Episode 1 of Season one and bought the entire series and finished it before episode 2 lol. But when I saw the trailer for season 2 (no spoilers) my first thought was "that's a lot of different storylines, how are they going to fit all that into 8 episodes. This was the first episode where I was like "OH, I GET IT NOW". Now I'm more excited than worried lol

Wow, Invincible deserves so much more credit than Loki that is the most insane take. Maybe its because Jaby hasn't watched S1 in a long time or is too MCU brain but Invincible isnt trying to scamble a foundation for another characters movie and once done another show will rewrite the rules for a different movie, EVERY plotline develops in the future. This should be viewed like good GoT seasons or Breaking Bad. Rudy and Monster Girl, Shapeshifter and Sequids, Rex, Cecil, Eve, Council of Planets, Levy, are all MAJOR players.
Amber has been neutered...she is now a docile pushover with no free will or concrete thought. Season 1 Amber was amazing! Bring her back.

She has been written to two extremes (too hostile or too clueless). Find a common ground...all other characters have been written well, except her. Make up your mind writers!

your opinions are valid! But for me personally they included everything that needed to be included, otherwise it would be an insult to the original comic if they skipped these moments. The story is much larger than what you would expect it to be and all these characters matter. If you disagreed on the content presented in the first 3 episodes, I would say that's the comic's fault.

The "fakeout end credits" happened in Season 1. I'm surprised Gabby didn't catch that detail and was instead, disappointed and annoyed. It was like Achara described, they're splitting it up into two halves of the same story. It's not necessarily a fakeout, just making sure you're paying attention. I also agree with Jabby that hose Aliens impersonated his father. No way his father is still that chill, unless we're missing something.
Watching people make bad connections like you and them is hilarious.
I hope you get more enjoyment out of the show when you learn the truth than those of us who got there immediately.
I know it’s from season 1. Just don’t care for it anymore. People defend it saying it’s used to split the chapters… just chapter it with chapter names. But that’s me being a persnickety ho.

Also as I been posting on every other reaction we don't now how Alien tech work, Allen is super in for future story so I doubt the kill him off like this and that didn't happen in the comic but on the other hand the producer did say they were changing some thing. So keep an open mind.
How is it that we feel more for an alien who has a total of 15 lines in the entire series than we do for 90% of MCU characters. (Oh I figured it out, good storytelling)

I get your confusion and deeper concerns BUT, don’t discount Omni-Man’s been alive for thousands of years conquering planets so he’s fully indoctrinated and is desiring to grow and change. His dismissive attitude is how he perceived on how to raise his son. Invincible’s rebellious nature is counter to his dad’s stubbornness to a point.

i don’t agree with jaby but i guess that’s what only caring about one plot & not any of the other subplots in the story will affect your enjoyment of this season. personally im loving the pacing they are doing & didn’t expect to arrive to thraxa this early for the mid season finale.

Yes, Achara is right, OmniMan could have told the alien that Mark loved the character but how did the alien know EXACTLY where Mark was on a campus?
Also, it's way sus that William, on foot, caught up to Mark and the alien, at night, in a forest, barefoot. And his argument, that the last time Mark didn't help when asked, he regretted it, is exactly how Mark has felt for months, driving him to constantly go out and be a superhero.
On the other hand, they have the power to travel to OTHER GALAXIES in less than a week but they are afraid of a bunch of meteors?!?

It was bugging me that this episode sidnt have a post credit scene as every other episode has one, but then it clicked, the credits rolled after Allen, so THE REST OF THE EPISODE WAS THE POST-CREDIT SCENE!

Okay, I don't know what Mark was thinking throwing those collectables in the dumpster. I don't care if I'm rich, I'll sell them long before I'd ever just throw them away. If anything he should've held on to them to fly them back home and later put them in store until they are worth a lot of money.

Amber has been acting better this season so I'll also give her a second chance, but the option to slap a jetpack on her and launch into space is still on the table if she starts acting up again. People can try to change to be better, but you can't change the things that made you a person that needed to be better. Most everyone will revert back to the bad behavior when something so bad happens that the only way they can deal with it is the old way. You get addicted to a behavior just like drugs, gambling, cheating or sex in general. Stressful situations will take you back to what helps you deal with it. A-hole Amber is still there just have to see if she wakes back up and acts a fool.
That stuff with Allen was messed up and I hope that this is a plan to get him somewhere safe because I think the girlfriend is the mole. Allen was to open with her about stuff so it would be easy for her to get information out of him. I hope he's good because I love his character.
I don't blame people for someone else's BS so I don't think everybody wouldn't blame Debbie for what her husband Omni-Man did except for the A-holes of the world that just need someone to blame to make themselves feel better. I'm the type of person who would be mad at her husband because he's the one that did dirty not her. Normally when I meet someone that blames people by association I want nothing to do with them. People like that will turn on you in a heartbeat if you say or do something they don't like.

@@WiseGaines Because 1, rex is self absorbed and he believes if a man and a woman are together in almost in any context, then they are "together". He did the same thing in S1 when he told Cate that Eve was seeing Invincible even though she wasnt, and used it as a justification to cheat. And 2, Cate said what she did because she is trying to show to Rex that there is no side of the situation in which he is right or has the more high ground. What Cate is saying is that even if they were together romantically (which they arent) Rex doesnt get to play victim due to him cheating on his former romantic partner.

I agree with Jaby this season is kind of meandering with its pacing. The first season had more weight to it. Also the stark contrast of amber's personality from S1 lolll. They really didn't expect the backlash did they? I guess they realized inconsequential is better than insufferable at least
