The nostalgia of Fortnite will always be just that. Everyone misses when the skill gap was lower and people hadn't figured out what was actually possible in this game. Now, we can't go back to those memories. The old map can come back, but people will still sweat. Fortnite is what it is now, for better or for worse.
its not even the fact people are better theres just so much in new fortnite and the map is huge i play it like once a month or 2 and it doesnt even feel the same its like a whole new game
remove turbo building, stop adding the new stupid skins which look unoriginal and copied over and over, actually add good emotes, remove all the bs that the game doesn’t need, bring back the old map and boom Fortnite would make so much money again and regain their players
I'm going to be honest. The one thing that completely ruined this game, and was actually one of the funnest things theyve added but at the same time, terrible, is creative/playground. It gave these kids the opportunity to just not even play games, but just grind for hours on their building... And this created a HUGE skill gap in the game.... If anyone wanted to start playing FN now for the first time, it would be hard, it would be frustrating, and it would be almost impossible. They went too "competitive" when they introduced creative. People got sooo good soooo quick... And me having a full time job and a family, I dont want to spend hours grinding in creative. I wanted to just play the BR and have fun... But me doing that, I was only keeping myself behind everyone who grinded in creative lmao.
Dude I feel that hard. That's partially what got me out of the game, when I started playing in Season 3 everyone was pretty balanced and it was fun building things that aren't instant skyscrapers.
*To everyone still lacking clearance on this:* Returning the old state of the game would not bring back the same joy you felt in the past. The player base would remain just as sweaty. The only thing that would bring back that old nostalgic feeling of the game, would be physically traveling back in time to when the game was in it's prime. Fortnite will sadly never be able to revert back to what it used to be, no matter what epic tries to do, it will never be the same.

There's simply no reason to think that bringing back an old spot or mechanic wouldn't scratch a nostalgia itch. Have you literally never played an old game before? I keep coming back to Breath of Fire 3/Skyrim/Oblivion and it's genuinely a good time, though I've had my fill of some older games. Double pump and single-click building is something I dearly miss. It has nothing to do with the community even. Literally all based on the state of the game. Obviously, Epic doesn't seem to be inclined to literally reverting to the old maps or mechanics ever again. They're adamantly against Double Pump or anything close to it. At least they've also added a lot of good updates and the current game is in a fairly good state with good weapons and nothing too clearly broken.

These people that saved these old seasons should just make a game that has like the first 5 seasons and you can pick what season you would want to play.
the reason there is no skins is due to copyright infringement, epic said they are fine with an offline version of the old game as long as it has no skins as that would effect their sales, they also said no to an online version as, once again, it would tank their playerbase due to a lot of people wanting to play the old version

After playing on the program that sypher was using i realized that what made the old map special was our unawareness when playing on it, knowing that i was playing on something we lost was a good feeling but that ended really soon when the nostalgia faded away and the actual memory kicked in, i started getting used to it again and i never missed old fortnite ever again after that

the only reason rift wont let you play multiplayer or have skins is because they had to ask for permission from epic to do all of this in the first place and that was a compromise if i remember correctly
I think that not Epic, but the sweats ruined the game. Well, one could argue that SBMM is a problem, but even without it, the amount of sweats per lobby would be so high that you wouldn't have too much fun in pubs nowadays. They'd have to remove turbo building to fully stop the box fighting meta, which would ruin the game just as much. I guess they're doing their best by adding things like railguns and plasma cannons to counter box fighting etc...
It’s not really sweats that ruined the game, it’s just that when people got better it became harder to win and if you didn’t adapt and also become better than the game could get hard and boring.
for Christmas this year, Fortnite should bring back the chapter 1, season 2 map, remove turbo building, and remove tac sprint, mantling, etc. Even if not for a long time, it would be so much fun to go back to REAL OG Fortnite.

Season 8 was the season my group of friends broke up. I have mostly played Ltms after season 8 started. Squad was not fun anymore for me. Disco domination was my favorite ltms of all time. I remember back in season 6-7 dancing like crazy and killing people on the disco floor.
I never thought fortnite would be more like this. I miss chapter 1. I’m literally so thankful for all of these memories I’ve made from chapter one. Never thought I could meet my best friend from there.

I might not be playing this game now, maybe once in months, but it'll hold a special place in my heart forever. The memories I have from this game play a very major part in my life, not just cause of the gameplay, but what happened while I was playing with friends, how we experienced every season together, our thoughts about the new skins / stuff added into the game, playing for hours literally every day. It was like that until the season 8 of chapter 1, when things started to get messy into the game, so much changed out of nowhere, in the map and in the meta, people realised they enjoyed the game more the simpler it was than when it started getting massive updates such as the MECH Robots and other things like that. Now barely any of the people I talk to plays the game, which led me to slowly start playing less and less till I came to the point of not playing anymore. Despite all that I still like Fortnite for being an important part of my life for 2-3 years.
As someone who played the preseason day 1 of BR being released on ps4 have play almost everyday even till today where I'm now on PC playing fncs thx sypher this video made me smile thx man. P.S We qualed round 2 of Fncs im hyped as!!

Because of trees, buildings, grass, etc. They wouldn't need to add the textures, Since already being in-game files for the current map. As well the current map is bigger and the game isn't even near 90GB. Like other games which have multiple map choices barely takes memory or ram to have them uploaded. The only way this would be different is if they didn't update the old map and brought back the old textures, which they wouldn't do if they did this idea.

Season 8 was the season my group of friends broke up. I have mostly played Ltms after season 8 started. Squad was not fun anymore for me. Disco domination was my favorite ltms of all time. I remember back in season 6-7 dancing like crazy and killing people on the disco floor.

Now that kiddos saying that season 5 chapter 2 is OG. They will never know what true Fortnite is. I want good old days back cuz i miss old Fortnite and chapter 1. Never forget about you.
I might not be playing this game now, maybe once in months, but it'll hold a special place in my heart forever. The memories I have from this game play a very major part in my life, not just cause of the gameplay, but what happened while I was playing with friends, how we experienced every season together, our thoughts about the new skins / stuff added into the game, playing for hours literally every day. It was like that until the season 8 of chapter 1, when things started to get messy into the game, so much changed out of nowhere, in the map and in the meta, people realised they enjoyed the game more the simpler it was than when it started getting massive updates such as the MECH Robots and other things like that. Now barely any of the people I talk to plays the game, which led me to slowly start playing less and less till I came to the point of not playing anymore. Despite all that I still like Fortnite for being an important part of my life for 2-3 years.

@@acefirefist2711 Actually wouldn't even be near 90GB More like 20GB at most... Because of trees, buildings, grass, etc. They wouldn't need to add the textures, Since already being in-game files for the current map. As well the current map is bigger and the game isn't even near 90GB. Like other games which have multiple map choices barely takes memory or ram to have them uploaded. The only way this would be different is if they didn't update the old map and brought back the old textures, which they wouldn't do if they did this idea.
Because adding in ANOTHER map would be too much work, making the new physics work on the old map, and for what? epic literally doesn't care.
