In Indonesia, this dance is called barongsai,Barongsai comes from the combination of the words "barong" and "sai".
According to the Chinese linguist Li Ru-long, barong comes from the Javanese language, a type of animal that is played in a dance performance,
While sai (獅) is from the Hokkien language (Min Nan) which means lion.
In the original Hokkien language, the art of playing the lion dance is called lāng-sai (弄獅)

What every Lion Dance kiddos want as their wish but it's sadly too expensive. By the way, are yall doing anything for Chinese New Year because I have a Lion Dance show next Friday at my school and holy smokes, I only know about 3 rhythms and beats for drumming since I'm the drummer. Teacher is going too hard on us because we only have Thursdays to practice. The drummers, gong, cymbal are all dead. Teacher literally told all of us to find youtube videos related to Lion Dance drumming.
