The move speed buff from fireworks rune is wasted when you take that gm mechanist trait so you could run the cheaper pack runes that give extra precision.
Wouldn't Rune of the Pack be better than Fireworks rune since they have similar stats, and you already have permanent movement speed bonus from shift signet?
Noody not sure if you realized but didn't mention in the video that trait that allows you to keep passives on your signets also means that your shift signet not only give you that movement speed but also will continuously boon Share regardless if you use it actively... 😮
I played this build to the nerfs (but stopped because it is very slow). Pack runes are much better suited in this build, because they give your mech twice as much boons as an engineer. (Google translator)
I did like that additional "Instant" tracking target with Mouse settings option. Nothing more infuriating than an enemy player blinking all over the map away from your damage.
Try switching out of explosives to firearms, run dual pistols and use another signet in place of grenade, see how you do roaming....it's not as good in zerg or lord/supervisor fights, but still very nice roaming.
Pretty new to wvw and saw you used to use thief a lot. I really want to get into thief because the playstyle looks incredibly hype, but my comp is kind of a toaster. Hard to tell how much of my trouble is just me sucking and how much is my comp. Should I just swap to another class?

i want to like wvw, but somehow it never clicked for me...after 10 years i bearly played any wvw at all...anyone have like an overview guide or something, for a total wvw noob, with all things you could do or so? i just run around random and die alot lol
One thing I tell new people is in the options menu, turn off the music. It's there to get you all pumped up, the adrenalyn flowing, and new players or on a new build the we don't need that. It helps me keep calm and thinking, not freaking out.
Build might work well on some matchups, but I wouldnt call it broken since I have NEVER (actually not exaggerating) lost a 1v1 to a mechanist since its release. I am playing condi soulbeast and never get in trouble against them (or engineer as a whole), no matter the build they run.
Been looking into engi builds. Think most have difficulty w/ condi cleanse? Btw, how is condi soul beast w/ lag? I’ve been maining thief to work on my first legendary set, but realizing my toaster may not be the best thing to play thief with.
I'm a complete noob with WvW, just tried this build (without bothering to copy the armor and trinkets) as I want to get started on my legendary armor. I was getting seriously ganked 1 vs 1. We had a thief take me out np and that was 3 vs 1 (in our favour). A holosmith was shredding me in under 5 secs. My point being; I'm sure the build, armor, trinkets, etc are important but 80% of your success is going to be getting very good at jumping all over the screen whilst targetting the other players accurately. A player running junk, who is an expert at flying all over the place, is going to shred a noob with the greatest setup. There is not going to be a magical build that is going to rock your WvW experience. And the other thing I'm painfully aware of is; practice will get you so far but talent is also a major factor. Don't be surprised if you put in 1,000 hours getting better only to find you'll never be an elite or even great player. (I learned this from my Red Alert II days when a good buddy of mine was one of the top UK players - that kid was substantially smarter than me and just about everyone else and no amount of practice is going to put me on his level)
Aww yeah, I was hoping you'd follow through on this build.
Thanks Noody :D
I'm keen to see some mech roaming time go from 0 to more than 0 :P
Enjoy man :D

Happy to see that i could help 😁👍
The legend himself, Ty for bringing that trait to my attention once again!
@@Noody How dangerous is "The Nameless One"?

Good as always, keep it up. Greetings from Denmark :-)
Thanks for the breakdown. Wish I didn't have to collect a 3rd gear set for my engineer for this.
Keep em coming!

Is mechanist or soulbeast better for casual player for open world and wvw?
Great video

yesss time to dominate with this!
After mechanist nerf that first trait it's not valuable cuz the mech loses most of his stats if it's not around you on a short radius.
The range attacks I feel make mech so much more effective
@@Noody controls enemies better yeah, but loses half of his bonuses if you are away from 360 range of the mech

Is this build still viable?
@@shinsai2648 yeah still works great
@@Noody What relic would you recommend for this build?
