Morning to everyone. This is my favorite TH-cam video. I love everything about it , the family life , the chicken's the goats all of them are so pleasing to watch in the mornings. Thanks for all the filming you do for us watchers.
Good morning everyone, Al and Gina, that greenhouse looks pretty awesome, you guys need to be so proud of how everything has turned out. I have learned so much from watching this channel. Thank you so much for all the lessons.
I love seeing you guys working together in the garden. You share the joy of all the little blessings. I garden alone and enjoy my time in the garden but I can see the beauty in the team approach. God is good!

You might want to help your squash along by playing the bee. You can use a makeup brush or q-tip to distribute pollen from the male flowers to the female fruit bearing flowers. Especially since the greenhouse doors are closed quite a bit and with the rain.
The growth in the greenhouse is wonderful. Thank you, Gina, I'd never seem small meatloaf before. I could make them and freeze some. That way I could have meatloaf when I want it without waste. God Bless
saw a cartoon, guy was tossing a rock up and down and catching it. He says, " a rock! to throw it, to skip it on the pond, to give it to my sister, to keep it?" Wow! Life was simpler when I had nothing!"

Guys... your greenhouse is a vision Realized. Learning a lot about ' cleaning up' plants for better fruit production. I used to be nervous about trimming off leaves but now I see the wisdom of it.
Your veggies look wonderful! My mouth was watering! You and Gina should be proud.🤗 Hopes tummy looks like it’s growing, Yeah! Love her🤗 👍🏻🌻💕🙏🏻🙏🏻 Olivia is growing so fast!
Al, @ 10:46 you say the plant has a whole 'Nother plant growing on it. I cut those off and root them in water to make new plants. I take about a week then I put them in a pot to form more roots for another week. if you use only the ones as thick as your pinky they quickly catch up to you other plants and will keep producing well into late fall/winter if you keep them warm. I had one I potted and brought inside, then took it outside the next spring. (some people plant the rooted plant right in the ground, but I have not had success with that)
Al Gina, Olivia, There's just bounty everywhere! A tribute to some smart working. Went over to the allotment yesterday. First time out in three months! Did some gardening. Sore today. Lots of stuff growing courtesy of my friend Franco. Have a great day! Regards Stephen.
Its a highlight of the day to watch your vlog. Thank you for all inspiration! About the missing tomato plant... let the neighbourplant grow an extra tip and use the string that lost its plant. the root system can manage two tips since you grow your tomatoes in soil instead of medium. Im so impressed with your tenacious work with the animals and in the garden!
if the green house supplier sells the doors individually, i have now swapped my inside doors on to the out side of the frame and added two new doors on the inside, but they are covered with fine mesh fabric to reduce the access for insects, but allows a breeze into the green house... working good so far... i also covered the vents with fabric too...
KNIGHTS MEDIA CLUB do you ever let the birds out of those houses. They look so crowded. I worry about them need some more room. I’m a terrible animal n7t and a terrible worry work about all animals. Crazy I know
I’m nominating y’all for the FAMILY OF THE YEAR AWARD I love the way you pray together work together and eat together. It very obvious that y’all are very happy. I love every episode. Thank you for the videos.
I took some tomato cuttings and put them in water with a willow branch in it...in a few days there were roots....I’m using them for replacements of some tomatoes that were eaten and I’ll wrap them with some tulle until they take in the ground...... Love the sound of rain...if I had a greenhouse I’d be sitting out there on a rocker and listening to the rain and having my coffee
Fixed our first zucchini today for dinner. Sliced, added onions and garlic and sauteed everything with some olive oil. Delicious! Love watching your daily life on the homestead.
Your greenhouse garden looks fantastic. It all has grown so much. It seems like yesterday you were out there on the ladders making the greenhouse. The sauteed beets looked so good. Yummy.
The greenhouse looks amazing! Thank you for adding your recipes. I’m going to try the beet greens and I like the individual meatloafs. We are looking forward to the zucchini fruiting(thanks for the pruning tips) we love making fried zucchini or cashew chicken with ours. Keep up the great work! We always love watching your videos. My daughters favorite animal is Figaro. She loves seeing all the mischief he gets into.
I’m really impressed how well everything is growing for you, and the goats are truly making a racket today. I wish my garden would do better here in NM, but between no rain to speak of, and the city water i just don’t know which is worse. Working in the hospital 5 days per week keeps me even busier but it is what it is that’s for sure.
Chris, I live in Indiana and it seems to rain a lot most seasons. I collect rain water in a barrel and water my little garden. It takes a little longer but i don't like the city water on my plants. I love my tomatoes and fresh veggies. 16 tomato.plants is a lot for 1 person but i give a lot of them away. stay safe at work.
I collected the rain water in water tanks to use during the Texas heat and drought. Lots of luck. Gardening is the way to relax. Be safe in the hospital.
Good Thursday mornin New Yolk City .... your garden & high tunnel are doing fantastic .... wonderful growth! Will be sorry to see the young bucks go, but you only need so many .... just like roosters. Good to see you are getting some more rain ... couldn't believe how dry your soil was getting. I have Black Krim tomatoes this year also. The vines are loaded with beautiful green fruit. Can’t wait for the taste of the first one. I’m in middle NC and we’ve had perfect weather for them this year. Yours are beautiful.
This rain has been very needed though.. We are in Brattleboro so not to far from you and we have been begging for the rain. Its hard to not be able to work outside but better than a drought!
I love the simple, wholesome dinner! Meatloaf is a favorite of mine and those beet greens looked awesome. My tomatoes can grow several inches in a few days. They are way taller than I am and still growing. Our cukes are also taller than me and we have some almost ready to pick. Blessings to all.
You could build a catchment system at the bottom of the greenhouse plastic. What a great resource that would be. Auto drip irrigation when it's raining. Do you need pressure for the drip tape you're using?
Good mauhnin Lumnah Acres! Loving the sound of the rain. Everything is growing so well. You must be so proud of all the work you’ve done and all you’ve accomplished! Another great dinner Gina! Take care.
I shred up greens and add them to all kinds of things, like rice dishes, bean soups, scrambled eggs, etc. Anything hot enough to wilt them. I love the looks of those beet greens! I have chard coming on and will try chopping the stems and cooking them first.
One of our favorite was to incorporate more greens in our diet is sauteing kale and pouring mixed eggs and scramble. Nice change for breakfast or supper.

Put the “whole additional plant” that you cut off of one tomato into the ground where you pulled one. If you plant it deep and keep it watered it will grow roots and produce.
Hi, meatloaf is good with rice and mixed veges in this house, Also the meatloaf is with Italian bread crumbs, egg or two, milk a splash, garlic and we do our salting on the plate to each taste in this house. Thanks for all you both share.
I have not grown tomatoes for some years, but I was told it was best to check them daily and nip out any side shoots before they grew more than about an inch to avoid plant energy being lost. One year I was making chutney on an almost industrial scale to use the green, end of season remains. Getting enough containers for the unexpected bounty was a battle that year.
Green House looks Great, love the sounds of rain. Learn something new today trim the leafs off the zucchini and squash plants . Dinner looked Delicious.
That spot where you pulled the sick tomato. You could have just left the branch from the adjoining plant, then train it over to fill that open space. Actually, that plant still has 2 main stems growing, move the left one over to the empty space, then clip the right stem where you have the left one. Minutes 10:30-11:10
Al and Gina, if you keep picking them off that will work too. That is what we do; as we don't use chemicals on our garden either. 2 July 20 we are having problems with Japanese beetles and I keep going out and pick them off and put them in soapy water. I don't kill them as they put pheromones and it draws more in. Al where did you get you shears to cut your plants? Wow look at every in the greenhouse and the outside raise beds; look Awesome.I think in New York City you will have to clip there wings too
Hello Gina, for another meatloaf variation, use oatmeal soaked in a little milk, onion ,ketchup, egg, worcestershire, and then mix sausage with the beef. Love your cooking episodes . Thankyou !
You have such a beautiful healthy Farm. The Crops especially are a sight to behold! Proving to us all & the critics, that natural is always best, esp. with good practice. I always enjoy watching the cooking as well. The Green House combined with the crops outside are a great idea. So Thank you for sharing :))
Fried squash blossoms are yummy too not just the squash. Pick fresh, dip in egg then in seasoned bread crumbs and fry. Really good with a cream cheese filling too.
Video suggestion, on some chickens cut the feathers on only one wing , on others cut both wings, when watch and see if it makes a difference. It seems to me cutting only one wing keeps them in better.
I use a hand vac that uses a bag, to capture the beetles and then freeze the bag and feed the bugs to the chickens or jump up and down on the bag and throw them away. Works for all types of beetles
Your green house is looking beautiful! All the plants are thriving so well! And I like the idea of mini meat loafs, great when serving children, you can make them any size ! 😊👍💕💕💕
Hiya, I to love the sound of the rain, especially when it's on my computer! Going by Ginas' smile in the greenhouse the garden is indeed her happy place. May I ask why the French marigolds at the start of the tomato beds? I think from your love of good fresh food you are of French stock, my great gran was. Do you want a lodger? Take care & stay safe... Steve...
Growing up in the north I had never heard of cooked greens. The closest we ever got was creamed spinach. As an adult I have found I really like them, and any kind of green works. Beets, turnips, radish, kale, spinach, cabbage, chard and when I didn't have anything else on hand, even romaine has gone in the pan. So easy and so good. Love the cooking segments!
Pigs want something to play with, that is why they move the feed pan. I put an old bowling ball in with my pigs but I did not have Electric fence to put them in.
We use to put a bowling ball in our hog confinement pens when we used to get tail biting that's one reason you want to keep tails short but with 2 pigs you shouldn't have any problems. The bowling ball distracted them from biting tails and once they taste blood lookout, alot of times when we had tail biters we would put them out on dirt so they would quit. Al wouldn't be good to breed Willow and Buttercup now so you have babies before winter also I can't believe how much milk you get out of Buttercup while she's nursing 3 babies or does she produce that much milk? After Gina milks Willow and Buttercup and takes the milk to the house do you run it through a seperator or something you never really have shown anything ?
You could put the “whole ‘nother plant” clipping in water and when it roots, plant in the spot of the one you pulled up.. everything is looking great! It’s crazy how fast things grow! The sound of the rain on your high tunnel roof would put me to sleep in about 3 minutes.. Gina, I LOVE that blue roasting dish you put your carrots in! Is that a Prarie Woman dish? I love the robin’s egg blue color! I don’t eat beets or their greens, but my grandmother used to make a squash casserole that was SOOOOO good! I’ve forgotten the recipe because my husband hates squash, but I’ll find hers and send it to you... That dressing mix that Gina put in her meat loaf would also be good to mix in with cooked squash and ( with other ingredients ) baked in a casserole..

Interesting video, useful tips, growth is amazing and pleased the cuc beetles are not causing issues + you have a spider ;-))
