Thank You.. 🙏❤️ but try to use small wires and hide it under the LED light so it will be more depth the 3D printed and clean, not same what i did.. hahaha
Idea is good, i tried some of my designs in 3d printing. The only issue is that the heat of neon led strip deforms the printed part very soon. Tried with petg and Abs both with same issue
@@muiTDesigns how did you adjust the letters? Thanks! I want to make one for a friend in her handwriting, but i cant figure out how to make sure the letters will have hte same width with the led strip.
@@someonenormal5579 hello, i did it in autocad and adjust the leghth asper cut size of LED per inch so it will fit. Just don’t follow the wiring of this because it looks ugly.. hahaha
@@97JoMiller Did you happen to find a good TH-cam video to do this that you could share or did you just do it on your own? I can't find one that is that great. I was looking to do it but I am brand new at Fusion 360. Thanks so much!
I just kind of figured it out on my own. I wish I could give you better advice than that, but I'm not good at making videos or really sharing how I do things... I just kind of picked apart pieces of different videos to figure it out.@@thegish1595
when you create the sketch, you have to do sketch offsets and pick each of the lines you want to offset and I do one on one side and on e on the other side of the line half the thickness of the led strip you are using
Type ur letters in then u need to extrude your letter up to desire amount I say u looking for 3mm up then u want to shell 🐚 each letter start at 2mm And repeat the steps to each letter with using all the same dimensions luck my guy
Hi, this led light have a cutting marks every 1 inch and from that you can connect your wire. Perimeter of each letter should be planned so you will know how many inches it will be. Thanks
@@CarpeDiemLiveSet actually i do it in Autocad so i can get the total perimeter of each letter and input led sizes to offset frame, next i make 3D model and then 3D Print. Everything was scaled 1:1. Thanks

Great work. Just an idea, could you not place the wiring inside the channel under the LED strips?
awesome work where did you get those led strips or what are they called?

Mmm what kind neon led are You using? 6x12 mm 2835 leds don't produce such heat to deform PLA (60°) and Even not remotly close to deform PETG (85°).
could you please help me and tell me how you made the name in 3d im having problems
what is printer completion time
Interesting work. What is the width of the led strip?
Thank You..❤️ it’s about 5.4mm width x 5 meters per roll..
What fonts did you used?
Go lablaaaaab! 😍🥰😘
What kind of font did you use?
Hi.. sorry for the late reply.. It’s Cartier Font by Graphix Line Studio but i adjust some of the letters to fit the LED when folded..

nice work. can you explain how to model the STL? i am struggling to extrude overlapping lines. salamat

Hi, What is the Bed Material you are using looks cool plus it sticks good enough I guess
Hi it's PETG, i used 225-85 using the other side of the glass bed :)
any video showing how you designed the letters to begin with? That's what I'm interested in.
Hi sorry for the late reply, I use autocad by planning the length of the materials, then i use sketchup for extruding. :)
no worries, I figured it out with Fusion 360@@muiTDesigns

What kind off PLA did you use? It looks kinda transparent.
Hi, i use PETG Filament.. Actually it's a transparent but since there is infill it looks weird. haha
What did you use to stick the letters together? Just glue?
Hi.. sorry for the late reply.. I just use UHU quickset transparent glue mix together with hardener and binder.. ☺️
how did you go about making the gaps for the led? When I try in fusion 360 I cant edit the dimensions.
learning fusion 360 is a process lol after 6 hours of youtube you'll be able to edit any way you'd like

Una consulta cómo haces para que coincida el tamaño de las letras y donde debe hacerse el corte
Use a 6v power supply for a 12v neon the neon should light up but power/heating will be greatly reduced

What was your total print time?
You could have left a back recess to hide the wires. You used wires that were too thick.
