I absolutely love RCT 1&2. When I played RCT3, I found that the grid limitation in the first 2 games was actually very helpful, especially when it comes to raising and lowering land.
I bought Planet Coaster like 3 months ago but i stopped playing it because the camera controls and the simplest of task are a pain in the ass. Spent like 2 hours just to make the pathways in an entrance like i wanted to. But with parkitect, even tho the graphics and realism can't compete, the controls and mechanics are juts like i wish planet coaster was.
I wish I checked both games before buying Planet Coaster and realizing it's not my thing AT ALL since I wanted a management sim, not a frustrating meticulous rollercoaster builder with no real aim or goals... seems like a game for the more creative types, not really a tycoon sim. At least it was on sale, but I do feel like I wasted money. Everyone hyped it up as a RCT successor and it REALLY isn't. Parkitect looks like it's the real deal.
Parkitect still retains the grid based construction while in planet coaster even making pathways can be frustrating and making coaster also due to the terrible interface
thanks for review, i know i had to take into account this video is a couple of years old now and that game has changed since you done the video but this video still helped
I almost never comment on youtube. But i have to say it, i like how you make videos. If you can, try to show more about the mechanics compared with another game or something like that
Love the little tidbits of information spread throughout the video w/ facts! Great review, helped me make my decision in whether or not to get the game. Can I recommend you review Parkasaurus when it's closer to launching out of early access!
now when you said "when you played with unlimited cash" is that sandbox mode, or just an option to turn on in sandbox mode? i would like to play sandbox where the land is completely open and make my own park completely how i want, but with the concern of money, like starting with a loan of 3mil or w,e then have to charge for admission and food/drinks ect to be able to make more
When starting a new park you can select "Flat Terrain (Large)" and it starts with $25K. There's a button to disable money so then the funds would be unlimited. You could create a new scenario with completely flat land and set your starting money and play that.
@@peppage another fantastic game! But I will say after playing this one I'll stick to sim theme, I like that you could run around your own park and ride the rides that you built!
Hey man. I write for a production label that licenses music for film trailers and advertisements. We also license to zoos, oddly enough. Does parkitect have custom music options? I usually play my stuff in RCT3 to see how it feels playing in a park with crowd noises and all, but I'm having trouble with the music not looping in that game, which is the main reason I play it anymore... I saw Parkitect and it looks pretty cool. If there's a custom music option, I'll be buying it for sure. Thanks, brother!
@@GeordiLaForgery I actually came to a resolution. I bounced all off my tracks on 10 hour loops lol the VLC route is definitely a great and simpler option though for future tracks. Thanks!

Parkitect is the RCT 4 we needed, not that mobile crap

And I would take better controls and mechanics every day. I quite like the style of Parkitect though
I have both Planet Coaster and Parkitect. I must say Parkitect is way better in terms of games mechanics.

This review won me over and made me buy the game. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I can't believe they pull this out with that budget, salute!

Happy to hear it!
Omg I just learned about this game after reminiscing on how good RCT 2 was. Definelty buying this. Thanks
How you like it so far?
A nice straight forward review. Thank you.
That how I do them! 😎
That thumbnail is hilarious. I want a go on whatever you're riding
Really great vid. Nice work
Thanks!

Thank you! I will try 👍
There is an 'Auto finish track' function, isn't there?
Yes, now there is. At the time I played it wasn't included yet
What about the multiplayer part?

Yes! Thank you so much. I have my eye on Parkasaurus but before launch is always tough. But I will when it's ready.
Pepp's indie reviews Parkasaurus is amazing, already like it so much while it is still in EA.
This feeds my nostalgia for RTC3 without giving money to atari.
So is this what Parkasaurus to Zoo Tycoon?

But does it beat Sim Theme Park?
No idea! I was more of a Roller Coaster Tycoon person.

Tell me how to get it
You can purchase the game on Steam
Is it on mobile
Nope
Pepp's indie reviews ok thanks I noticed yesterday I was so dumb not to check first
You got a new sub m8 :)
Thanks!
can you ride your own coaster in this game?
You can but you need to use a mod (CoasterCam) available in the workshop. I used it and it was easy.
they forgot being able to build coasters in reverse... pretty much makes it unplayable for me.
We better be called Pebbles :D
I love this game. It’s a blast.
Hell yeah!
This looks cool
It is!
As far as I know, Parkitect was created by the original creators of RCT.
No, Thats Chris Sawyer, these are different people.
Still good devs tho! Sebastian and Garret are the main two.
You wanna do a collab?
I like Peppels. :D
Hah, ok one vote for
is Parkitect
free?
Nope
oh you have 666 subs
Feels like mobile game graphics mixed with RCT...
Barely acceptable for me, still I am playing it.
For how many customers they wanted to have on the screen and how complex the rides can get. It seems good to me.
What? The graphics are beautiful
Pepple army unite
Calling this game something that took stuff from another game isnt right because theme park tycoons are a genre not a single game
But where did that genre start? I wasn't trying to be negative, I think all games borrow from each other. That's good! Mechanics cannot be copyright
classic RTC graphics are better than this bobble head nonsense...

Why don't you just set it to loop in VLC and just alt tab into the game?
