John Bacon, Michael Hunt & Caroline Oldrey were three of my favourites...Ohhh and as a child I watched Miss (Romper Room' Rosslyn "And I can see......." - Wonderful happy times indeed :).
michael hunt is my grandfather. i unfortunately never got to meet him however as he died before i was born. its great seeing him on camera!
oliverchambers hello long lost cousin! He is my great uncle - my mother’s uncle :)
And my great uncle! I remember meeting you when you were very little Oliver :)
He was my favourite Anglia personality , loved his weather forecast , I loved the temperature boxes with day and night temperatures and saw them drop into minus figures a few times . In Peterborough in the 80s it used to get quite cold, could also get Anglia in many other places we lived including Skegness, cleethorpes ,Lincolnshire wolds , probably Bedfordshire and Herts too. I just posted a picture of him on Facebook today with my memories from 70s and 80s .
Michael Hunt was great - they never introduced him as Mike Hunt, except once I recall.
not surprised really, Mike Hunt said fast is not very nice :):):)
Best weather presenter ever ,forever ever
Ahh mike hunt ....not to many people called him mike
We lived next door to Vic Birtles (Anglia head of news) when we lived in Norwich in the '70s.
Hmm. I'm not a fan of Anglia TV but fair play as they did have some great professionals: Graham Bell, Jane Probyn, Michael Speake, Paul Barnes (remember his letters slot? Was it called write on?) Christine Webber, Patrick "pantry" Anthony, John Francis, the quirky homespun Helen McDermott and Miss Rosslyn from "Romper Room" with her Magic Mirror. Nice memories
my dad leonard maskell use to work with bob wellings and michael hunt. i wonder if Bob remebered him ?
Sadly, David Brooks passed away this month. He will be sorely missed.
