This is the equivalent of being fortunate enough to sit at the feet of a bhudda, prophet, seer, a man possessed of almost a divine wisdom unlike anything before or since. Don't take the privilege of enjoying MPH for granted. This is a GREAT , BRILLIANT HUMAN BEING.
Thank you for restoring one of Manly P. Hall's most vital lectures, the great series on Neo-Platonism. Looking forward to subsequent installments. This series is a personal favorite, along with his lectures on Alchemy (which badly need a remaster!), Gnosticism, and Paracelsus.
The infinite cause of infinites ♾️ , along these lines, I feel every time I listen to a lecture I learn deeper even if I have heard it. Just like watching a movie and seeing something new each time.
What a great way to start off the New Year. Thank you. I have come to see that there seems to be similarities between Neo-Platonism and the Gnostics. I wonder if anyone can recommend further research? Thank you.
There are some similarities but there are differences. Read Plotinus Ennead II,9. It is the section entitled "Against the Gnostics". Manly Hall would probably recommend the Thomas Taylor translation.
The Philosophical Research Society has a PDF download of all 5 lectures in this series. Keep in mind, this will not re-format in a iBooks or other ebook reader (like changing font size, etc), so it is 'fixed'. We are working on a full e-book transcript, which will be in the epub format, which allows you to change font, size, background color, etc., and will re-format for the best viewing/reading experience. I will post when that is finished. Here is the link to the PRS: www.prs.org/store/p307/Neoplatonism%3A_Theology_for_Wanderers_in_the_New_Millennium_%28e-Book%29__PDF_879-2.html

I agree.
I remember listening to this lecture on other channels, but the audio quality of this one is at the top. Nice job guys.

Yes, the Alchemy series is in bad shape. Even the master tapes (which I had the privilege of listening to) and marginal. We will do our best!
best MPH miniseries

Ahh... Another Man of Culture I see... Lol. 🥂👋

Loved this.
45:40 it sorta tickles me to hear him use the word "oozed".
