Game changer. Love that the front and back come with two additional material styles to play around with or as back ups in case one fades or loses cushioning. Fantastic invention, keep up the great work!
I bought this a few days ago and it is a game changer. So much more comfortable than the stock setup! Thank you so much for making these amazing replacement parts! If anyone watching is on the fence about it, do it! Taking off the stock parts is a bit intimidating, but you got this!
@@DUBDUB511 After some experimenting, I went with the padded top strap along with the gel insert for the rear pad with the silicon cover. I also adjusted the rear pad to the lower position as I have a larger head. This helped me with comfort and locking in the sweet spot. Good luck!
Absolutely must have for PSVR2 owners, that stock setup was terrible. Installation is a breeze and people saying that taking off the stock pads is intimidating are wrong, its super easy. I fully recommend this to all PSVR2 owners.
The people saying it's anything but simple are trying to or succeeding in tearing off the stock pad from the plastic. They aren't following the instructions and blaming everyone else for their mistakes.
SO glad I found this video, the instruction guide that came with it was very confusing. Only been using the mod for a little bit and already can happily say it's a literal game changer. Removes any weight from the nose/forehead
Thank you! Would be appreciated if you could drop an email to support@globular-cluster.com with the suggestions you have for the manual instruction guide, we will update it according to user suggestions
Thanks for the video. I just installed mine today and i can already tell that I love it. It keeps the lenses of my nose and is so comfortable on the back of my head.
I accidentally unclipped the original rubber padding seperate from the Plastic ancor tabs, be sure to unclip the entire stock forehead/rearband pad from the plastic anchors not the rubber hooks ( hard to explain, they went too fast in the video/instructions)
Sorry to hear about your experience, we will try to make the step of removing the stock forehead pad slower and add some warning there. Can you please drop an email to support@globular-cluster.com with some pictures to see if I can do something for you?
I just but and only I have to say, thanks! I will do a review with spanish language in my channel because I think that PSVR2 had to release with this mod! Great job!
This was delivered today. Can't wait to see how this feels. Played very little No Man's Sky in VR because the back of stock headset hurt the area. NMS belongs in VR and I'm hyped to give this a go later.........Peace Out My Peep Peeps!
I just brought this and it makes the psvr2 so much better. Comfort significantly improved and the sweet spot is easier to achieve and feels maybe a little bigger? Maybe that's because I'm finding it faster and easier than before.
What it needs to be is Tony Starks Iron man Helmet. Where the front section can be raised/lowered without affecting the functionality or capacity of the device. Full climate control ventilation for the helmet, ending face saunas, foggy lens's, swamp ear, etc etc, for good. The speakers can be set away from the ear slightly and/or employ supplementary speakers in specific spatial locations to compliment the emmersive experience. (Trust me, if its actually comfortable to wear for prolonged time frames, people will happily do so. It's like riding a road bike, with the right helmet selected by a rider, it is something the mind is always aware of when wearing it, but can easily forget that its aware of it.... And when the helmet is in the open position, the incorporation of AR into the helmets functionality while in the open position, the potential advancements for what the accepted view of what the VR experience is understood to be, could evolve gynormassley... Then all we need is 100 degree FOV, 8K display visor that can present a photo realistic image 1.5"-2" from the face and the L and R images are superimposed on top of one anothers locations but are still separate individual images from the L and R eyes perspective. The screen could be similar to a Fresnel lens but the optical planes exist within the lens material instead of being created by the orientation of the surface plane. This means having multiple differentiations for the refractive index properties at any given point on the screen and the manipulation of the lights emittensce and projection characteristics create a specific polarisation response for the optical waveform as it encounters the lens medium, and this polarisation characteristic produces a coherent aspect ot an image which is only abkento be viewed when the viewers perspective is at a particular angle respectively. This doesn't mean a dedicated L and R screen or image. This means that every perceptible perspective is simultaneously playing at every point (or along every plane) at the same time
Thought about adding an English voice track but different customers speak different languages as it ships worldwide so just gestures will be clearer and easier to follow, and background music, different users have different preferences for music. just like they have different head sizes/shapes, this is the biggest thing I learned during designing this comfort mod. LOL
Hello! I'd like to purchase this for my headset but on Amazon the product page doesn't say if it's V1 or V2. I'm assuming it's V2 but I just wanted to be sure so I thought I'd ask here. Thank you!
the globular is interesting but I find the vr2 headset too uncomfortable with the piece of plastic on the nose. Too bad globular didn't make an additional element for better comfort for the nose. Sony's rubber is really bad and it causes pain in the nose. maybe you can fix that for the version 3
I understand different people have different face shapes and nose sizes/heights. Did you try sliding the PS VR2 visor far bit from the face? It can effectively increase the distance for the nose. You can also install the rear pad adapter at a lower position so that the headset can tilt a bit more and the distance for the nose can also be increased some. You can drop an email to support@globular-cluster.com, we will take care of your situatoin
Disregard. I got it right after posting this comment. I removed the back pad to properly determine how much strength to pull with. Everything is amazing!!
Thanks for your order and support to Globular Cluster VR and sorry to hear about the problem. Could you please drop us an email at support@globular-cluster.com with your order number and shipping details? We will ship you a replacement and fix guide ASAP
Understand your concerns. Everything will not be damaged and can be reinstalled back if you follow the video guide closely and operate gently. If you spend a lot of time on PS VR2, the comfort improvement is worth $50, and the effort of removing stock pads and installing the CMP2 will be rewarded
I BOUGHT 1. A BIT SCAMMY HOW U CANT CHANGE THE BACK PAD WITHOUT LOSING THE WEIGHT GEL... KINDA DEFEATS THE WHOLE THING MAKING ALL THESE EXTRA PIECES GARBAGE AND A WASTE OF MONEY...
All rear pads can be pulled off and reinstalled. Would you please contact support@globular-cluster.com to get further help? If anything you get stuck, we will provide a more detailed and slow video guide
@globularcluster YES I KNOW. BUT WHEN U TAKE OFF THE GEL PAD TO PUT THE OTHERS U LOSE THE WEIGHTED BONUS OF THE GELPAD IS ALL IM SAYING. I DONT THINK I NEED SUPPORT FOR THAT UNLESS IM MISSING SOMETHING. STILL AN AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
@@THALASTBOSS_ttv Got your point, the reason we designed this way is that different people prefer different rear pad solutions. Some like adding some weight to the rear for front-weight balance, and some prefer the whole head strap as light as possible. If you prefer the fabric or PU pad material but also want some weight for balance, maybe you can DIY. Glue or stick the fabric/pu pad on the gel pad.
