I run with Fenix 6s and will start taking my E66!. Any thing I need to do so they don’t send conflicting data to Garmin connect or explorer which pushes to Strava? I prefer they don’t communicate together since I need my Fenix to last 30-40 hours in trail races. The blue tooth will run battery down.
is the Garmin Explore app absolutely necessary? or can InReach Message service also function via GPS-device? And if Garmin Explore is absolutely necessary - does that app also have to be on a smartphone? Or can that also be done on a desktop PC
I have the Montana 750 i, I’ve been very disappointed to say the least. Screen is jumpy and selects something I didn’t tap on…routing is hit an miss. Have to usb to download map Data, need to be on WiFi to see weather radar, wtf is the point if that? No WiFi in the woods. ….very frustrating for a $800 device.
I really wish the weather radar was thought out better. Of course seeing radar in back country is key, but your using said device because you have no cell reception. But yet you still have to be on wifi or celll reception to get radar. Hopfully this can be improved thru iridium since iridium go already does this. Hopefully the new 67i can do this.
Sir, I bought mine thru a tradeout/pay deal with Garmin when my old Oregon went down. I have had this now for several months but not used it. Waiting for hiking CDT in 2023. However, I have looked it over and when I try to hook it up to Wifi, even though I am in my home and our Wifi is working fine, it will not hook up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

do You know if InReach charges activation fee every year or it is a 1 time fee having hard time to understand that part on the website?

Does not give me the option to sync contacts from my phone
To use this device in the field may I have my Phone on Airplane mode? would the device still receive messages and all? Thank you!
Yes, the 66i and your phone talk to each other via Bluetooth. You have to activate bluetooth in both and then pair them.
how do add hike back to my profile ?
New edge series?
