Durdle Door holiday park provides ideal access to Durdle Door beach, lulworth cove, man owar beach and many other attractions along the Jurassic coast in Dorset England. This makes it an ideal place to stay if you want to visit Dorset and enjoy camping.
Dolittle Campers are Part time UK Van Life couple David and Clare who along with their Cockapoo, like to take their viewers on their adventures with them.

Good honest review👍 the points you highlight are common with some independent sites who take advantage of being in a good spot 🙂 staff were clearly poorly trained ! Have the site responded to your review ?
Question? Do you sleep across the van? Or longways? How do you find the Tv on the wall? Lying with the steering wheel at your head (😂) we have had our Vivante only a couple of weeks .

Hi Ian, yes we sleep across the van as it means the dogs have their own little spots up by the steering wheel and glove box. Neither of us is particularly tall and we sleep at slight diagonals so it works for us but might not for others. The telly on the wall would be better on a moveable arm in our opinion but we haven’t watched it in over a year. The sight replied to my trip advisor review, but it was very defensive and implied the customer was not right on this occasion. Hope you are enjoying the videos? 😊

Nice to see a thorough review - you deserved better. I suspect you guys wouldn’t have let it spoil your holiday, but still disappointing - thanks for sharing. We biked to this location and saw vans parked but thought they were parked in the car park , we didn’t realise it was a site such was the closeness.

Thanks for the review. It really is appreciated. Given its location, we'd have paid that amount of money but we'd also have had our holiday ruined if we found it as you did. One thing you've learnt us is that we said we wouldn't do bad site reviews but having seen yours, we would now. It's informative and we certainly appreciate that. You've saved us a 6 hour plus drive and a holiday we'd have totally regretted. Thanks for sharing.
We weren’t sure whether to do the review or just leave it as we don’t like being negative. However people have started buying things we suggest and going to places we go to, so we thought we owe it to our viewers to be honest. Glad you found it helpful 😊
Just went there this week, but stayed on the main camp site, had a look at the sea view camping , agree best to avoid, steep slopes and a great view of a lot of cars! But the whole park looked great, very clean and tidy, the shop was good and I tried the food in the restaurant and it was really good.
I think they must of uped there game, maybe they watched your review 👍 I think it’s best to go there out off main holiday times though,

So glad you’ve said this. We stayed in 2016 in what looks like exactly the same pitch you were on. I thought I was being fussy but it was the sea view not car view we’d paid for. Great views in the evening but yeah I agree, not great during the day! 👍
Thank you for watching and glad others agree too as it shows we aren’t being fussy. It was a great base to visit so many places and we had a great holiday. I just can’t help but be be frustrated when I don’t get the level of service that the money paid for something warrants
Thanks we have been waiting for this one 😊 Very balanced review and can see that point very much on the lack of fence or distinction between the car park, not great for security so think we will give this one a miss and explore the area from somewhere else 👍

We remember going to Durdle Door before commercialism took over. We were shocked by the price of the car parks in the area last time we visited and it seems the car parks are growing year by year. This campsite has gone the same way. It’s definitely not worth £40 per night. Well done for an honest review. It sounds like they need to concentrate on their park homes and leave touring sites to the experts 🤔 Trev

@@DolittleCampers It’s very tricky to get the choice of sites right every time. Lickpenny is exceptionally good so it’s natural to try to find something just as good. Sue has found some good ones and seems to have a good eye 🤣 we like trying different types of site rather than sticking to club sites. Thank you so much for giving us such an honest review of your experience. 👍🏼😃Definitely a beautiful location but not a site we would stay at given the openness to the car park, not being able to go back to your original pitch should you have a day out just seems a lack of “ being organised” on behalf of the site.
Seems a real shame as the views and walks looked fabulous. The management could do so much more with it to make it “ great”

Unfortunately when you have a popular location like durdle door camping site you can get away with a lot more as once you leave someone else comes straight in . Standards don’t really have to be maintained because they get away with it . We looked at it and decided against it. I made add these are just my opinions lol

Hi I agree with you how it got awards is a joke holiday park not maintained roads have pot holes
We visited the car park in our van and were appalled at the price and the state of the car park. You can see the campsite up the hill.
We got stuck! They charge motorhomes so much money and don't have designated parking plus the car park is on a huge hill we couldn't reverse due to the mud and had to knock a post out to drive forward to get out.
Good to know the issues with the campsite we nearly booked it but the price put us off.
Your experience sounds just as bad as ours which I’m kind of glad of as was worrying that we are just becoming grumpy 😂

Sorry did you mean the carpark in front of campsite? If so it’s pay and display but as we were on the campsite, I’m not sure of the price
