I also struggled with the "not dirty" clothes pile of doom, and I put some cute hooks on the wall above the laundry basket and it has helped a lot.
Separating "in the house" clothes from "out of the house" clothes is such a good idea. I gotta do that. Like, currently, I KNOW which stuff is which for me, but it's all sort of mixed together.
📦 Your wardrobe looks so lovely and tidy 😍 do you think you'd ever wear your sentimental stuff around home? I tend to wear my sentimental jerseys and t shirts around home, though I often look a sight lol
Haha thanks! I have tried to wear them around the house, but they end up unworn even then lol. That’s a great place for them if you do wear them tho!
🍱 oddly enough they had a bento box but no cardboard ones. I like the idea of a small box of sentimental clothing. Sweaters are hard for me to let go of, I have an old Ralph Lauren cable knit sweater that I am sick to death of yet I still love it too. I wore it to death in my teens and twenties, the thing still looks good.
Haha I like the bento box! And yeah sometimes I like having previous favorite clothing items as mementos of different points in my life
I'm still watching but I love that pink blouse on you that you got rid of eventually. Can you share the thought process behind it? I get attached to my clothes so I couldn't done it myself, it was painful even to watch 😅
Also I found it interesting that you meant costume pieces as in theatre and not like costume / statement pieces as a fashion term. It made me think of a video idea if you like it: styling costume pieces to everyday outfits. It would be an outfit lookbook video that you actually worn out and about with each outfit starring one of the costume pieces. You maybe already wear them casually, I absolutely love your statement pieces!
Lol thanks, I think the deciding factor for me was when I hung it up in the closet and it just felt like it didn’t belong there haha.
And I guess my costume stuff is also just statement pieces too haha. Basically anything that doesn’t fit my day to day casual wear is going in a different closet

I hate unpacking!!! this is the worst! Real story in my early 20s I moved with my now husband and I wanted him to help me unpack my clothes and he couldn't care less and was doing something else like setting up the entertainment system (read TV, DVD/VCR and CABLE .... yep waaaaay back) and I dont know if he played dumb to buy more time but he just wasn't able to make everything work. So here we were both frustrated with ''our'' task and at one point I just lost my patience and just set up the entertainement system AND unpack my clothes by myself. Afterward I made sure for more then a year to point out that I was way better then him at a ''man job''. it was my payback for him not helping me unpack my clothes! :P (FYI I was working at that time as a phone agent in the customer service departement at a cable company) LOL

🎁nearest I could find to a box! Thanks for this helpful video which came at the right time for me as I currently have builders doing remedial work on three rooms of my fairly small house. Things are in weird places which is driving me crazy! So it was good to have some solidarity.
