Correct. Salieri wrote this piece in 1774 I believe. Tonkunstler Orchestra performed this in 1784 for one of Vienna’s benefit concerts. Salieri was mainly a stage composer but wrote concerto pieces early in his career. I assume he wanted to keep his melodies/music for the genre he was known for.
Ritengo Cimarosa il più ispirato dei compositori napoletani. È l’unico che può avvicinarsi al genio musicale di Mozart. Questa composizione non è banale come molti concerti artigianali e opere artigianali fatte per il godimento immediato, senza una ispirazione che nasce da “ emozioni interne”.

Not trying to be too unkind to Cimarosa, I thought this work sounded a bit too good for him.
